  • Hoping for a good season!! Stock is getting low in the freezer. And if I don't catch it I don't eat it LOL!

  • @ Vestmarine Its a headlight with straps, has three different LED settings. Rayovac and energizer makes them. You can get them at Walmart. I prefer not to use a super bright light because sometimes you see right thru a transparent shrimp. Plus I find it spooks em. The red really makes their eyes stand out! I wear the light on my head.

  • @ Ozelloshrimper. I like to take my kayak so I get to places like fort desoto after hrs. As long as your below the high tide line your legal. I shrimp all thru bunces pass. All around the sky way. Terra Cia , and Terra verde . Then all the way down to Anna Maria island area. Just depends.

  • Yes, they definitely do. I like an orange tint to the light myself but I have heard good things about red too. All you need to do is attach a lens filter to your light to get the right hue.

Where are you shrimping in the area?

  • They get a lot bigger than 7 inches down there! And a red light works wonders!!

  • @captainde2 Hey What red light are you referring to and why? Simply because the red doesn't spook them? Or you putting a red light in the water?

    Thanks
