if u dont pop them they can pop on their own and get puss all over ur face at the WORST times, so I think poppin them (when they are ready) makes perfect sense, U just dont squeeze them until blood comes out or u will scar, get the puss out put some neosporin on it and let it heal, it shouldnt even scab, if the pimple was ready to burst, and u can feel it when its ready.

When I have a HUGE pimple out of no where I put a bit of toothpast (but it has to be the paste not the gel) and u where it over night and u wake up and wash it off and it shrinks but JUST put it on the pimple cause if you spread it all over ur face it will irritate ur skin so just on the pimple :)
