  • The finest finish of "Running Scared" I´ve ever listened to, and I own it at least 12 times, sources from concerts etc. - WHAT a gem!!

  • Elvis himself said that Roy Orbison was the singer he most admired, his favorite ...

  • Great Show.Roy is the Best........thanks.

  • elvis and roy where both great singers

  • your all talking rubbish elvis had a better vocal range! fact

  • The Voice At His Best No Gimmicks, Just doing what he did best Singing With A Voice out of this World Elvis had a Greater Range + Showmanship But Big O Was Streets Ahead of Others With what appears effortless singing A Gentleman who had a Life full of Tragedy But never let it show in Performances Always gave his Best First Palladium Appearance was His Pianist In Orchestra Pit His Only Vocal Backing Loved as Much by Fellow Performers as His Many World-wide Fans Which Included Me
  • "Elvis had a greater range" You're joking.

  • Hi feestploegkse Ha ! Ha ! I Meant to add note as Missed Out a Word Meant to say is Elvis had a greater range OF SONGS i.e. Hound Dog to Its Now or Never . Roys Voice was Incredible But No Rock n Roll Singer He was a Ballad Singer & By Far the BEST. Could not be any greater fan than me For Both of Them. In Dreams to me his Greatest but many Beautiful Songs. But Rock n Roll never Early OOBY DOOBY & LANA Terrible Elvis his error awful FILMS But both Were Unique & By Far The Best
  • Yeh, your right Elvis had a greater range of tunes but he didn't write any of them. So in that respect Roy still kicks his ass. Roy shopped Only the Lonely to Elvis who was supposed to record it but "he King" never showed up for the session.

  • Hell Robbie We are debating the 2 Greatest Artists from 50/60s Era + Gene Vincent who never had a Top Ten UK Hit Highest 16 U Tube has shown Genes Versatility He did not write Songs But would think he selected them I truly think to write good songs as Roy you had to live the tragic life he did. All 3 recorded some terrible songs Due to Volume Elvis the most in Films Elvis greater range of Songs Types Roy wrote & sung Beautiful Ballads Genes Range overlooked till You Tube
  • @robbietuckermusic elvis wrote one of his biggest success "love me tender",but I don't think he wrote a lot of song

  • @1950sTeddyboy Roy still had a rocker's reputation, but he didn't want to sing rock'n'roll,he was better in love songs, even if he loved elvis and the rock'n'roll.I personally preffer when Roy sing love songs like careless heart or running scared, but I like his rock too.

  • I agree, what part of Elvis had a greater range, his waistline?

  • roy's music will live forever.....RIP

  • kan ie wat harder, jammer toch ?

    wel mooi. Hoi, Roy !

  • the world of rock today does not know talent as talent was once known....and this is the benchmark....and what a high benchmark it is ! R.I.P ROY

  • Listen all you Roy Orbison Tribute artistes, he sings effortlessly and does not over cook the songs. His voice was just magical. I saw him in Paignton devon in 1973 and he was amazing, thats why he was an International super star!!!!

  • It doesnt get better than this

  • I heard 11 versions of Running Scared, studio, live and bootleg - and this one is the best, he topped himself!

Someone bring him back to show those singers today who sound like coyotes which get branded what singing and composing means!

  • There are two male singers who's voices I consider to be unbelievably exceptional...Roy Orbison and Freddie Mercury. Sadly, they are both gone from this earth. It really sucks that they can never be seen in person again. Thank God for the music that they recorded, so that the world can still listen to what a great singing voice really sounds like.

  • The Soul of Rock And Roll.

  • ~chillz~

  • someone bring him back to life

  • im 18 but if only i was about 4 years older to experince this legend live R.I.P Roy :(

  • Superb!!

  • He makes it look so effortless - amazing as he was obviously singing live!

  • Quite simply the most underrated performer of all time. Unbelievable voice, great songwriter. The current charts could use an injection of talent like this.

  • The best singer in the world. Amazing as a singer & amazing as a songwriter.

  • You bet ya hes the best singer in the world! no one can sing as good as Roy Orbison and people say Elvis is better ha ha ha what a joke Roy blows Elvis away!

  • GREAT QUALITY THANKS FOR POSTING

  • This man was the Greatest ever, he always brings a tear to my eye whichever song he sings.

    God Bless you Roy, missed

  • Thanks for posting this beautiful performance. Roy's recordings contain complex & ornate arrangements. Here he is unadorned, with a light background in a cathedral of a theatre, and he fills it up, effortlessly, with his voice, without sacrificing the emotion of his ballads. Bravo!

  • So beautiful.

  • Can I download these clips, is so how?
