Just an idea, you should do a review on them or an explanatory video explaining how they work as well as just telling everyone about them. Like with the voice module.
If you didn't already know, Sega released 3D glasses for the Sega Master System. A handful of games were compatible, and it uses the mechanical shutter type of 3D. Where a mechanical shutter is inside the glasses.
hi Rob! nice video, though I didn't notice much depth in your images- unfortunately no true "click the button" method 2d->3d conversion exists- you can try other software like stpaint or photoforms but the best way is using the minoru3d or fujifilm 3d cameras I have the minoru3d and have uploaded many 3d videos.
also You don't need an nvidia GPU to play 3d games- download the iz3d drivers and set em to anaglyph and you can even play on ATi cards
Cool video. I enjoy 3D as well! I have two different types of anaglyph glasses: green-red and blue-red. Some anaglyph images/movies require one or the other.
How did you take the photos, BTW? Do you have a camera that takes double images, or do you have a special lens, or what? Just curious!
Nothing so complex, just some pictures I already had and converted through the with the free program I mentioned and linked to in the description..........
You know, one of my dreams for when I get insanely rich someday ( haha ), is to buy one of those old twin-projectors, so that I could watch movies in that true 50's 3D. They went though so much trouble with those movies, and yet it seems like noones these days remember that they were shown in 3D!
My first concert ever, the Kiss Psycho Circus Tour, hade those polarized glasses. Wish more things would use those today instead of the blue and red colours to be honest. Colours gets all screwy ;)
I remember having a magazine on dinosaurs and in every issue there was a poster with 3D effects with glasses, pretty cool. These colloured glasses really ruin the collours though, plus I have to really concentrate to actually see it so I don't care to much about it myself.
Those more expensive solutions work a bit better for me, but it's still a bother.
Congrats on getting a tripod by the way, nice and stable picture :)
this is the worst part to only having one eye,, next to not being allowed to drive..
there is so much stuff coming out in 3d lately.. and like urself im mad about the advancements in the technical feild.. but it really sucks i cant see it for myself.. this new james cameron film,, avatar.. wasnt it shot totally oin 3d yeh?
I was always really interested in it, but it always feels like it will give me a headache after too long. My card is supported on that Nvidia thing, though, I think I'm gonna pick some up and try it out. Nice Incredible Hulk song.
Some people are adversely affected by the glasses just as many people experience dizziness in 3D games, fortunately I suffer from neither...............
I tried the Nvidia LCD shutter-glasses system 9 years ago. You had to have a 120 Hz CRT monitor (a lot of CRT's can do 120 Hz at 640x480) and even then the picture was dark & blurry. Wasn't worth it at any price.
Not sure I would base an opinion of Nvidia's 3D process from nine years ago...............the new system sounds pretty good, I doubt they would just re-introduce the same tech from nine years ago, a lot has imprived since then...............
You made me break out my 3d glasses for this one! And tripods are really nice. Took me a while to finally get one. Thanks for the information. The best 3D experience I've ever had was watching Disney's Philharmagic show down in Disney World. It was incredible. Not sure if you've seen it, but you'd love it.
I don't believe so, again this is in reference to ANAGLYPH 3D (IE: RED / BLUE LENSES) BUT the program to make the pictures DOES have a few different output options, I only investigated what applies to me, PLEASE check the link to the software for further details about the various output options..............
My friend actually did show me more than one possible filter (a mathematic transformation) that can be used for Anaglyph 3D effects, some give much better results than others, and he did use one for his own 3d applications and it looks great!
The only downside with NVidia's electronic 3D glasses is I think you need a 120hz LCD witch of course next to no one has. Still it must look awesome in games. I didn't know you could do it with the red/blue style 3D. Neat for free!
That's why they are there, examples I made using the Anaglyph 3D program I mentioned, though FYI I did rush them and they might not be the best example, for sure you can do better with your own pics and fine tuning the results................
Thats good that you may. It's always good to see rare accessories reviewed and collected!

No lenses, it's dual screens built inside.
They're really virtual reality glasses designed for FPSes.
