I love that purity facewash. My sis got the sample bottle & I totally cleaned it out lol gotta go & buy the full size bottle soon XD I was really impressed at how well it removes my eye makeup and it doesn't even foam -3
I have sensitive skin and at first the peel was too strong for me.. but I tried it a few more times and my face got use to it and it doesnt leave my skin red... i use it one a wk and i love it. has made a huge improvement on my skin.
The best under eye cream I have ever tried is the body shops under eye cream. I have used so many cause I do have very dark under eye circles and I need it to make my concealer go on really smooth cause biggest pet pev the cakey or not blended eye concealer and its amazing. I used MAC for a long time and Bare ess but this one from body shop is great.
Have you tried clinique all about eyes moisturizer? It is really good for sensitive skin (of course all skin is sensitive to different things, but it works good for me) and it is very moisturizing in my opinion. I don't find it greasy either. They would probably give you a sample if you wanted to try it!
The best eye make up remover is vasiline!!! trust me it works! works on mascara, eyeliner! try it!!! it doesnt make you eyes dry or anything like that.
I'm aware that you have very sensitive skin. I have sensitive skin also :/ what foundation primer do you use? I feel like a lot of primers tend to break me out.
@ashumssss if a lot of primers break you out, you are probably allergic to silicones. Look at the ingredients list and try to avoid products with "Dimethicone" or other "-cone" names.
I don't usually use a foundation primer but sometimes when I want my skin to look perfect I've been using the L'oreal studio secrets one. I don't use it on a regular basis though. ;)
DHC cleansing oil is just another way to market something that already exists in a different way. It says it's "infused olive oil". I got a sample of it and it's olive oil with a peppermint scent added. That's the "infused" part. It works just as well as regular olive oil you have in your kitchen. It's been tried and compared to be true. By me.
Ahhh I love DHC Cleansing oil too! I've been using it for years now and I think it's their best-selling product. I buy like 5 bottles every time I go to Japan -.-
can someone explain to me what dry shampoo does? I think it reduces the greasiness of the hair.. but what else does it do? cuz my hair greases up like in the middle of the day and it sucks!
A question about eyelash glue for you, have you ever used the dolly wink glue? If so, how do you feel it compares to duo dark? I have sensitive eyes that tear easily and looking for a glue that I can feel confident using.
Hi Jen! I love the Philosophy purity made simple and microdelivery wash as well. They're my HG! Although, I do not like their moisturizer (hope in a jar) 'cause it smells really bad - made me nauseous. Anyways, I would recommend the Boscia Enlivening Amino AG Eye treatment or Laneige water bank eye gel to moisturize your eyes. They're both in gel form, very light, sinks in fast, and moisturize super well. The Boscia one is perfect under makeup as well! Hope that helps!
i cant really read jp but i really do like using Pore Peeling Tsururi. you have to be pretty generous with the paste and wait for it to completely dry. if its a little moist, it doesnt peel well.
jen, I went out to the store today to get baby powder for my hair and i found a scent called magnolia petals by johnson&johnson. --smells amazing, no baby powder scent at all. you should try it out, it was only under $3 for a huge bottle and it works better than any other dry shampoo i have ever tried.
I love your videos because you give such a good description of what makeups are good for your type of skin and you're also just so pleasant to listen to!!!
Hey Jen, thanks for sharing all these things =) But the Purity cleanser, you can also remove waterproof makeup (even waterproof foundation and mascara) with it. The trick is to put it on your face or lashes, then use it like the cold cream where you just gently rub around. When it gets kind of dry, just add a little bit of water to keep it moving. It will actually remove EVERYTHING from the face. That is the #1 reason why Purity has been my favourite cleanser for many many years!!
to take off my makeup I just use regular extra virgin olive oil... it does the same thing as that cleansing oil you have and it's super cheap because it's already in the kitchen!! :D
I suggest you try Origins Eye Doctor. I'm in love with it! I have very sensitive skin & eyes & this moisturizer doesn't irritate me at all. My eye area feels & looks supple & refreshed. I totally recommend it. I think it's pretty expensive, but for me it's worth it. The sample I got @ Sephora lasted me for a good while, though.
Hi Jen, I was just wondering I have a Clarisonic by Mia (is that the one you use)? So, I have had it for a whole month and it is absolutey not working! I am severely prone to pimples and have big pores. I was just wondering, since your skin is picture perfect, in what conditions do you use your clarisonic (Where do you use it, how many times a day, anything that might help)? Your help would be deeply appreciated. :) Thanks!
Try Algenist eye balm from Sephora, I've tried tons of eye creams, low end to higher end. It's moisturizing but not greasy, works well w concealer, anti aging as well as circles & puffiness. I really see a difference & I'm older than u. Hope u a it a try.
Can you do a snsd Tiffany inspired look from "the boys?" her make up is so pretty! Thanks :) you always do such a great job. It's not sloppy or muddy :)
hi Jenn, would you recommend the finishing powder for photos? I knowthat the MUFE HD reflects because of the silica ingredient.... thanks! Keep the hits and misses coming!
It sounds like my asian skin is very similar to yours. And I agree that the DHC deep cleansing oil is amazing for my skin. I've been using it for 4 years now, and it has not given me pimples (vs Fancl's cleansing oil). As for the eyelash glue, I have never tried the Black version, but I have tried the Clear version (white/blue tube), and I have never had an issue with it falling off. If you ever try it, I hope it works for you =)
Hey Jen! I'd love to recommend to you the "Origins - Eye Doctor" Eye Cream!! I've been using it for just over 10 years now and it's been fantastic!! :) I've tried their new ones that they've recently come out with and of course the other eye creams they've come out with over the years, but I have to say I always end up going back to my "Eye Doctor", it's just soo good for the dry skin around your eyes!! I also love that it's emollient but not too much that it will give you blockage!! Michelle xx
with the k-palette liner, i strongly recommend that you do not use it on your waterline. i used it once to line my upper lashline and it actually stained my prescription contacts a dark purple and i got freaked out and havent actually touched it since ._.
Jen i'm only half Korean but my skin is very sensitive to face washes! I tend to get really dry from the ones that "cleanse very well" and I hate that! The Purity face was is amazing!!! it cleans my face, it tightens it and it doesn't strip it! I use it with my clarisonic mia and it really gets the blackheads too! LOVE IT! Glad you love it too!
you should also try the Kiss Me liquid liner. it's also super thin like the k-palette and dolly winkle but it LASTS! i went to the water park with it and it stayed!!! (given that i didn't rub my eyes of course!) love it!!!!
I have the Tsururi Nose Peeling Gel and you need to apply the gel on the nose let it dry then wash it off. It works wonders. Before i used it i looked at my nose and i saw the blackheads (black dots) after using it, they disappeared. Like this comment to Jen can see!!
I love your videos, you give really advice on what is a good product and what's not. I was wondering...what is a good product to get rid of black heads? I just can't seem to find one. Thanks :)
You should try the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder. It is amazing and makes your skin look super smooth! It also makes your face feels really soft. I use it as a finishing powder over my powder foundation (it's not cakey at all) before contouring my face. Have you also tried the Lancome Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate? It hydrates my skin without feeling thick or icky.
i got DHC cleansing oil at mitsuwa this summer and im in love with it too! wow i didnt kno i could use it to take off my eye makeup though! that's awesome!!! and jen, where did u get ur ring? its so cuuteee!! <3
I've been wanting to try out the Tarte Smooth Operator powder too but i did some research.. it was warned that 1 of its ingredients could cause cancer.. google for Lysophosphatidic Acid D:
The Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner is better and longer lasting then the K palette liner. I believe it's thinner too the point if not the same size.
Ive been loving the Genefique eye cream! I also use the Evening Primrose eye cream from Korres, namely because it's one of the few on the market with SPF. I just bought a new one from Ole Henriksen though, so I
I use the Shu uemura eyelash glue for years, it strips off in one strip too~ The down side is do not cry or tear, it will lift a bit. I can't find one glue that can strip off easily and won't lift if i tear..
Try Duo Lash Glue, it's suppose to be water-proof but is extremely gentle on the eye :) If you find that doesn't work then I'd give Dolly Wink eyelash glue, but Duo would be your best bet.
As for the eye cream, I've heard estee lauder and bobbi brown ones are good for the high end and Roc is good for drugstore brand. I'm using Kiehl avocado one and i love it! :)
if you like DHC, try Shu uemura cleansing oil (purple whitening one). i guess you can only order it online and they ship it from canada, but it def worth it!!!
I wanted to try the Tarte smooth operator micronized clay finishing powder but I heard some people saying that there is a warning that this product may cause cancer or other reproductive harm? I did some research and found some more info. But just to be safe i ending up not purchasing it >.<
My fave cleansing oil is the Juju Cosmetics Aquamoist Hyarulonic Acid Moisturizing Cleansing Oil. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil was too drying for me. I have oily skin too.
Hi Jen, you asked for eye cream recommendations. Estee Lauder has great eye creams, but on the pricier side. Kiehl's Abyssine eye cream is pretty creamy and moisturizing too. I actually switched over from Estee Lauder to Kiehl's to Clinique right now (it was a gift), and I'm very happy with it. You should just get a bunch of samples and see which one works for you.
Hi Jen. Sorry for asking something that has nothing to do with the video, but you mentioned a Mitsuwa in your video and I just HAD to ask. Do you know anywhere else that sells the Palty hair dye (online or in store)? I checked out the pinkparadise website and the girls that are modeling the contacts are the same girls on the Palty hair dye!
DHC also carries an amazing eye cream! It' called the "concentrated eye cream." I swear by this and their Deep cleansing oil. Give it a try! dhccare.com
wait jen, u should emulsify the DHC cleanser sufficiently before you apply it to your face cus i actually read from a japanese magazine that emulsification on your face/ inadequate emulsification of cleansing oil can cause skin-aging! :)
Anyone want to recommend a nice eyeliner for REALLY REALLY WATERY OILY EYES/EYELIDS? I've been told that gel eyeliner was the best. But the Maybelline one isn't good
every time I look I drool . ;)

Apply after washing face and wipe off excess water.
Take an appropriate amount (about a size of red bean for nose) onto a finger tip and rub onto a concerned area.
Leave it for a few seconds. Before it completely dries, massagge skin lightly.
When most of the pieces are rubbed off, rinse with water or luke-warm water thoroughly.
Recommend to use once or twice a week.
Instructions for the back of the Tsururi peel.

@aHGirlL

When you use the L'Oreal HIP Shadow duo in 510 Electrified on your eyes, is it just like in the everday taupe tutorial? I love how your eyes look.

Hi Jen. Sorry for asking something that has nothing to do with the video, but you mentioned a Mitsuwa in your video and I just HAD to ask. Do you know anywhere else that sells the Palty hair dye (online or in store)? I checked out the pinkparadise website and the girls that are modeling the contacts are the same girls on the Palty hair dye!

wait jen, u should emulsify the DHC cleanser sufficiently before you apply it to your face cus i actually read from a japanese magazine that emulsification on your face/ inadequate emulsification of cleansing oil can cause skin-aging! :)

Anyone want to recommend a nice eyeliner for REALLY REALLY WATERY OILY EYES/EYELIDS? I've been told that gel eyeliner was the best. But the Maybelline one isn't good
