@hermano86 It is a lot tougher to mod it on the xbox. If you have a transfer cable it can be done. I would consult a few forums on the matter.

Just a note. When this was made the chests were as shown. Now thanks to DLC they are crappy leaving this method useless in New Haven. Good thing I bought it on the computer and can make any weapon I want.

Then they patched modding.

I still mod guns, but I dont make 1-hitter-quitters. I make legit custom guns, because sometimes I want higher fire-rate, or I like certain scopes better, or the manufacturer sucks (Screw Torgue, Hyperion, Atlas, and Maliwan all the way)

Actually, in the immediate vicinity of New Haven there are 6 total chests. 4 white, 2 red.

7 if you're at a certain point in the game...the Trash Coast Challenge has to be in your objectives, not completed...then you can access the secret room. Other wise there's another white chest outside the town, but you have to fight some enemies to get to it...so there's a total of 8...easy to access and always around though...6.

It's really silly.. If you just do this to get weapons to sell.. then why not just use CheatEngine and give yourself all the money you want?

Actually... if you have the quest "another piece of the puzzle" (where you have to kill rakk hive) you can go where the rider is and get 7 chest total :D

They have the same likelihood of any chest to contain Eridian tech. And technically there are eight chests in New Haven - if you include the two below the town.

Yes but the two below the town are only available during a specific quest. And you can't access this this area during playthrough "2.5" so it is harder to get high level weapons from them.

There are actually six chests to be had in New Haven. One is JUST outside the city. It is wiser to loot all 6 before logging out.

Personally I'd rather watch him just loot one box before he shows what to do in order to do it over again. That way it gets done quicker and I dont have to wait for him to run all over the place before he shows exactly what to do.

Haha nice video oh wait no it's not. Yo missed so many of the chests not to mention the S&S Crux does NOT regenerate ammo it's special ability is that it has a cross shaped spread. Also there's really no point to do this for money by simply playing the game through once I had full money. Money is useless in Borderlands the only thing that you should do this for is for finding rare guns that you wanna keep. Next time you make a video try actually knowing what your talking about.

You said that theS&S Munitions Crux shotgun was a bad weapon... That thing carried me throughout the game; from my first visit to Treacher's Landing straght to the Vault. I realize it's personal preference,but when a weapon can carry someone THAT far,it's gotta be good.

Not to mention it is a good weapon and he's wrong. It's one of the weapons that has a really special ability being that its spread is cross shaped. Also it doesn't regenerate ammo.

Good vid, but everyone knows about weapon farming. Maybe you should post a vid of ALL the crates in the town, and mention the hidden vending machine and hidden basement. Both yield pretty good loot, and are worth looking out for if you're farming.

This happens when you come and go from places with the chests reseting however if you want to make a small profit just keep reloading that save.

False. Red oval chests have guns, and the large white chests also have them, and they can also spawn from dumpsters, and pistols in lockers. And they arent chests, but they can be in the skag piles too.

The chests are set at a certain level for the most part, and will higher as you progress the game. NH stops at about 30 by End Game, and will be about 40 in P2, then 47ish when you beat the game. Also, this guy didn't do nearly as many chests as there are in NH. There are 6 chests you can easily access each run.

I don't understand why you'd do this for the cash, I can see doing it to farm good weapons, but cash seems pretty meaningless in this game. Once you hit your 2nd play through you should max out your cash display at 9,999,999 easily. And it doesn't even cap after that it just doesn't display the rest that you have.

There are 5 chest in New Haven itself (2 Reds and 3 Silver Chest) and 2 outside of the towns limits (1 is S.E. by the bandit camp {Silver} and one is S.W. far outside of the town {Also Silver}) Leaving a total of 7 chest in this area to farm, but the first 6 are the most efficient based on the time it takes to get to them.

You should change "tens of thousands" to hundreds of thousands of credits in under 15 minutes.

At level 50, it's uncommon to find a weapon worth LESS than 30,000 credits. It's more common to find one worth around 100,000.

This is a good method for "farming" weapons- looking for orange class weapons or ones better than you already have. There are also easy to reach ones in Rust Commons West (labeled as the director's chest), Old Haven, and a slightly tricky one to reach at the beginning of Headstone Mine.

Both, the weapons produced in the chest are random, but at level 24, when I first started using this method, the level requirement stretched from 19-25, now I am at level 26, and it appears to be the same. I would guess there is a bracket the loot is randomly generated in according to your level.
