  • stupid Negroes

  • Silly Stuart V.- in a utopian society, the congenitally defective would be provided a standard of living for merely producing CO2. Plants have right to breath too you know.

  • Typical hyphenated-American female. Has she ever had a real job where she has actually contributed to society other than providing CO2 for plants?

  • How would it work if I went into an ACORN office and demanded (name my sum of the day) money -- CUZ!

  • Comment removed

  • "Millions and millions of people are being foreclosed everyday"

    What?

  • ACORN GOT OWNED!!!!

  • typical......how typical. I deserve everything for nothing.

  • i cannot believe this bitch.. thats all i will say... 'defend' there homes.. :| wtf.. i can i defend the banks i dont own with a rifle saying its mine. like wtf she is a poltiical thug

  • @Bren565 Yah, brah! Like wtf? LIke, what is she? LIke some kind of like idiot? Like, it's as if like every other like word is like... stupid. If only ppl were as smart as us lol!

  • @Vkob

I legit dont get it... housing is a right, no its not.

right to pursuit of happiness not having happiness

also the acorn bs... that shes saying they are paying there bills.. they are not.. me if i didnt pay my credit card bill and they shut it off.. i dont have the right to hold the bank executives hostage and blame them for shutting off a credit card that i agreed to because i signed the deal, they signed the mortgage deal to leave the home if they fail to pay.

  • @Vkob I legit don't get how you don't see the link between the banks being given tax payers' money and then kicking tax payers out of their homes when: half the time they don't even own the deed to the house anymore because it has been chopped up and passed thrhough so many hands as securities no one knows who owns it, these subprime mortgages tricked people into taking loans they couldn't afford which the lenders knew and it was a trap, the plan was to resell the home after they default.

  • both sides are right to an extent. Banks denying loans to some black who can afford it. Banks giving loan to people who can't afford them. Banks causing people who couldn't afford the loan in the first place to loose their homes later. People getting loans on a house they can't afford. Yes, there are many corners to this table. If you havent seen them, here it is. Banks using unlawful mean to give the loans to people...just plain messed up.

  • Banks using unlawful mean to give the loans to people...just plain messed up. I agree with that, but she was not talking about that! Acorn uses people for their cause, and hardly does nothing for them, they get grants when the poor rise up, but most of the money goes to ACORN agenda that is how to get more grants!! They did help the poor with loans low interest loans, but if you checked republican on the application (yes they asked) NO HOME FOR YOU I worked for them I know what their all about

  • Put a fucking banana in this nigger bitch's mouth. Stuart should have broke out a dictionary and opened it to the word "delinquent" because it's obvious this monkey bitch doesn't know the meaning of the word.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron Wow... Just wow. You're a fuckin moron dude...

  • Good for you, Stuart! Thank you! This whole victimization song the blacks constantly sing is so tiresome and aggravating. Why doesn't she just come right out and speak the ACORN philosophy ~ we're black so we're entitled.

  • Yay Racism

  • The contract between the bank and you is fraudulent and therefore you do not have to abide by it. They have not signed the contract, meaning it is not lawful, meaning you have a right to your property. Fraud is a common law.

  • as usual its taking out of context ....and yes it has ALOT to do with the banks . Its too simple to just saw that we are all responsible for our our house payments -how about regulating the banks ! the only ...only ...winners are still the banks . I think there might be a problem with some sections of acorn but so many organisations have problems here and there, why not look at the bigger fish . No this lady is absolutely not wrong .

  • "First of all, you are wrong..." 3:29

Haha she has NO FREAKING IDEA.

  • This woman is a nut.

  • acorn and the stupid boon can suck my dick

  • Seriously? I don't know anything about Stuart Varney, but I can tell just from this video that he's a condescending prick. There is no point to this video other than to see him constantly interrupt his guest. I didn't get ANY useful insight from watching this.

  • Liberals are losers.

  • @rujtj Yeah thats why all the conserative states take more federal aid than the liberal economic engines in the US.

  • @Vkob Did you get that so-called stat from your liberal heros "the young turks"? Go crawl back into your little ice box that you call Canada. By the way, little canucky, maybe you should research real facts and you'll see that liberal states are the states which are deeply in debt. Deeply in debt thanks to liberal social programs. Better yet, stick to commenting on your ice box nation. Although I'm sure you don't know many facts about your own nation neither.

  • @gobacktoschoolmoron Do my research? How about the fact that the same republican state officials that didn't pass the stimulus took the money and ran? Btw Cali state debt is 367 Billion and Texas debt is only 261. However take into account that the GDPs are respectively 1.95 trillion and 1.16 trillion. Do the math, which I'm sure you can't, and you find that the Dept to GDP ratio is higher for texas than california. Btw this "little" icebox is your biggest trading partner. Idiot...

  • Stuart tells it the way it was concerning this issue at 3:50, (concerning Obama's plan), through 4:28... She even admits it's true and not a 'lie'...

  • ACORN members are paid for protesting.

DELINQUENT on mortgage isnt being behind on your bills?

This is why theres so much racism in America. Blacks like her that get on TV are so uppity and arrogant, wanting everything for free, show no shame, and NEVER admit when they are wrong.

What a fucking bitch. She doesnt care, she's all "against the man" and hates Whitey. Then whites watch this and say "Wtf? That N****!"

See how it NEVER ends? People like her needs to SHUT THE FUCK UP FOREVER.

  • In Soviet Rrrussia..............

  • "Right to persue happiness" doesn't mean a right to own a home, or a right to healthcare. The founding fathers understood that this would be government takeover, That's why the main purpose of the constitution was limited government. They understood what socialism does to a country. The fathers didn't want a welfare, spoonfed, victim mentally because we will then eventually fall under the same dictatorship of a King George. This women is a typical Obama supporter ("what's in it for me?")

  • @tonyg0123 a "right to persue happines", does not mean a "right to happiness". If you are handed everything by the government, then what is your persuit??? The ability for an individual to persue happiness comes from the national defense of the federal and state governments, which allows protection of the free market systems and the free flow of capital. Unfortunetly, we have current presidents who believe the federal government must run everything.

  • @tonyg0123 and that`s communism, very un-American

  • @keybladeblastcalibur this might even be below communism. Our system now consists of some people go to work everyday busting their ass to put food on their tables while the rest of the people sit on their ass leaching on those workers through government force. As long as we have people like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid in power, the circus will continue and more and more people will be on government aid with less and less people involved in the markets, innovating and creating private sector jobs.

  • @tonyg0123

I don't know if anyone has told you, but unemployment checks existed long before the Obama administration and they'll exist long after.

  • @11111110 of course, and i'm not against unemployment, but Obama is constantly increasing the time you can be on unemployment and the amount that is paid. As of recently, it was 2 years!!! So, you work at a job for a year, then go on unemployment for 2 years...do you see the problem here? I was on unemployment for 3 months and they didn't even check me once if i was looking for a job, they just sent me a check every couple weeks. Unemployment for 2 years is a disaster...Search Peter Schiff

  • @tonyg0123

Well, unemployment checks are without argument the best kind of bailouts, since the people who get unemployment spend it all within their communities right away. It all gets invested back into the economy.

  • @11111110 and that is the problem right there. You have to ask yourself where all this unemployment money is coming from. The problem with the U.S. economy today is not that we don't spend enough, it's that we don't save enough. Our spending and lack of savings and investing to create jobs for these unemployed is the problem. It's the fact that we don't produce manufactured goods on a scale that we use to (just services), so instead we run huge deficits with countries like China and Japan.

  • @tonyg0123

There is a reason why its called an "investment". If more Americans are employed, tax revenues increase all around, thus offsetting the cost. Unemployment benefits and job creation programs pay for themselves far better than any tax cut. Not that anyone is a huge fan of deficit spending, but Americans in general are more receptive to it if the spending is done to rebuild our own country as opposed to some middle-eastern ones.

  • @11111110 ok, how are you gonna get those people employed when people starting up a business are getting hammered by the government?? Any smart business owner will take their jobs overseas do get away from government intrusion of taxes and regulations. Our country IS NOT rebuilding itself. Do not pay attention to those people that say the economy is recovering, they are delusional. Much worse is yet to come with runaway inflation. Again, if you want a true economist, turn to Peter Schiff.

  • @tonyg0123

I don't see a 3% federal tax increase as "hammering". Taxes were much higher during every single previous administration, so you'd have to wonder how anyone in America ever prospered in the first place. Taxes were higher during the Reagan administration, yet for some reason I don't see anyone ready to label him as "anti-business"

  • @11111110 Obama is about to end Bush's tax cuts and what about VAT taxes, death tax, cap n trade..ect? Not to mention, the fed printing money at will at the government's expense that we will have to pay back in interest. So, no, maybe our taxes won't go through the roof (even thought they already are), but the real issue here is a devaluing of the dollar that this administration deserves an A+ for. This countries entire industrial revolution was brought about by lack of government regulations.

  • @tonyg0123

Obama isn't going to end the tax cuts, the tax cuts are going to expire on their own, just as the republicans intended them to when they wrote the bill.

And when you say that our taxes are "already through the roof", I have to ask, compared to what? It's been two years and the Obama administration has yet to raise any taxes, they are still at the "through the roof" levels established by Bush after he twice lowered them. If Obama is a socialist, then Reagan is practically Stalin.

  • @11111110 people are going into so much debt because interest rates are set at 0% under Bernanke. The first thing to recover this economy and stop inflation is to raise interest rates, which will eventually hault spending...every economic downturn is ignited with the federal reserve making poor decisions. The free markets should determine the interest rates by supply and demand principles, not artificially controlled by the fed. The U.S. dollar is a sinking ship and not backed by anything.

  • @11111110 bailouts of any kind are the problem because they distort the market place and favor one business over the other, which completely eliminates risks and competition for that business. Have you realized that every bailout has failed and now Obama is pushing for another one? The government and fed interferes with the markets and causes problems then blames it on capitalism when it fails and wants to install more regulations and bailouts. The spending needs to stop or the U.S. is done

  • @tonyg0123

Keep in mind the banks were bailed out by the previous administration. Obama bailed out the car companies, to which I don't know if you've checked lately but they're running in the black again.

  • @11111110 of course all these business that were bailed out will fail again...it's inevitable. Why would a company try and earn profits when all they have to do is go under by making ridiculous offers and then wait to get bailed out by our government? It's a scam from the get go...just another government intrusion...oh, and don't get me started on Bush and the TARP funds for the banks. Both the dems and the repubs answers to all the problems is to add more government=disaster

  • @tonyg0123

Nobody wants multiple bailouts for that obvious reason, but both parties know that bailouts are an unpopular option, the CEO's of these companies have to deal with bad press, shareholder complaints, and large government debts. They won't happen again, at least not under this administration.

  • @11111110 "nobody wants multiple bailouts"? They sure do! Companies like GM and Goldman Sachs donated to Obama's campaign for that particular reason. All these companies should have gone bankrupt. We keep evading the inevitable and distorting the markets by artificially creating winners and losers. We continue to dig a dipper hole and people are having their doubts weather we can ever climb out of it. China will eventually pull the plug on us once they realize our IOUs are worthless.

  • @tonyg0123

When I say "nobody", I'm referring to 99% of the American public and most politicians. Though its easy to sit back and say "let the car companies go bankrupt", such an event will directly cause 100,000+ jobs to be lost, plus an entire economic collapse in several states. Closing a few plants was all it took to turn the once-prosperous Detroit into a cesspool of poverty and crime. Closing all of them is a scary thought, even to Republicans.

  • @11111110 that is exactly what we need. We need people to lose their jobs, sure times may be tough and we may need to sacrifice for a while, but in the long run we will have a full recovery...instead, the government puts fear into us by saying our economy will collapse if we don't save these companies. This is total rubbish and again, all it is doing is digging us deeper in a hole while giving the illusion that jobs were "saved". It's all politicians saying whatever to get re-elected.

  • @tonyg0123

No, they're correct in saying the economy will collapse if the car companies tank. Not only would over 100k people lose their jobs as a direct result, but the dozens of parts contractors and other individual companies would also lose business and close their doors. The total job loss estimates approach 1 million. You can say that the plant shutdowns in Detroit will help the city recover in the long run....but that's a tough sell, especially to the people living there.

  • @11111110

In fact, the crime and poverty levels have driven Detroit property values down so much, that several parts of the city would be more profitable if there were completely razed and turned into farmland. It's only gotten worse in the pass two decades. When will the hand of the free market pick it up again?

  • Stuart Varney doesn't want to talk about the bank bailouts because he's a corporate shill.

  • This looks like a Black terror organisation full of pig ear eaters

  • SHE thinks they should stay in the house until the government pays all their shit !!! ACORN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FUCKING RECESSION BY CALLING MORTGAGE COMPANIES "RACIST" FOR NOT WANTING TO GIVE LOANS TO PEOPLE WHO JUST DON'T QUALIFY. FORCING THEM TO GIVE OUT TONS OF SUBPRIME LOANS CAUSING MILLIONS OF FORECLOSURE.

  • I like this Varney dude! Almost felt sorry for the Acorn lady though. She must have felt a little more exposed than she wanted.

  • This bitch wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit her in the ass.

  • @buisyman SHE'S A CRAZY LYING BITCH !!!!!

  • ACORN brought all the trouble on themselves for be notoriously un-organized and ignorant of the local laws, where they operate.

Most of the "activists" are completely uninformed as to the people's legal rights, that they purport to represent. It is rather frustrating, since they were the largest community group in the US and now they are nothing.

  • @MrShadyJeff - Our country is great! Jealous? Bite me! Your opinions of ACORN have the same validity as your opinion of menstrual cramps. You have a right to your opinion, however uninformed, but you truly don't know what you're talking about. If you did your research you'd discover what a pervasive and destructive force this government funded organized crime ring is really all about. Go do something else with your time; you look more ridiculous every time your fingers hit the keys.

  • This lady and Acorn is so stupid its not even funny.

  • Here is a novel idea. Don't buy shit you cant afford!! These people believe that they are entitled. Just like Obama, they hate America. They hate the fact that your success or failure is based on one thing, YOURSELF. They hate the fact that actions have consequences. If you are poor, then get a good education, stay in school to get a good job, work hard at whatever you do and YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL. Don't drop out at 16, have a kid at 17 and then complain about being poor. OWN YOUR DECISIONS!!!

  • Obama voters have no clue. Their idea of success is to get enough rich people to give them money. They want to punish successful people because they LOATHE success acquired independently. They're ignorant to the fact that increased taxes on the wealthy actually DECREASES revenue to the government for their pet social programs. So by denouncing those who are successful and screaming for higher taxes, they are actually helping to DEFUND their favorite government entitlement programs. Idiots!!!!!!!

  • Shame on all fool Obama Voters! Even the ones that just didn´t want McCain to win!

null was the way to go

  • ACORN is a criminal organization. Varney is 100% correct. The Congressional Black Caucus forces Fannie and Freddie to lower their standards for extending mortgages. Fannie and Freddie comply. Then when those people who got loans because of the CBC default on their loans, ACORN barricades themselves in the homes that they cannot afford and claim the banks have no right to reclaim THEIR property. Thank GOD ACORN has had their funding taken away. They're the scum of the earth

  • @meast36 Yes let's throw people on the street you stupid asshole. I doubt you've ever gone to a city and lived a hard life, learn some fucking perspective you asshole.

Fuck you and whatever political agenda you've sailed in on.

  • Thats just about the reaction I expect from a liberal. No substance, just name calling. I'll have you know that I grew up in Prince George's county Maryland, one of the most violent, poorest counties on the eastern seaboard. Libs don't understand how its possible for a minority to depend on themselves, and not the government, to pull themselves out of poverty. You should try working sometime instead of looking for those who have worked hard to give you the fruits of THEIR labor.

  • @meast36 That's weird because I'm not a liberal, because I'm not from America, I'm merely a humanist. And I don't expect people to work me I do work hard. It just seems to me that "fuck 'em" is the is one of the most immature responses to a problem like this ever. Considering almost anyone who isn't comfortably wealthy is in some level of debt, you might think there would be an alternative. From a country thats supposedly made for the people you really don't give a fuck about each other.

  • News flash...You don't have to be from the US to be a liberal. There is a reason that we are the most successful, wealthiest, most powerful nation in the history of human civilization. It's because we work hard, we are innovative and we don't make excuses or believe that we are entitled to other people's money. If someone believes that they are owed money by those who are more successful, they are liberal regardless of nationality.

  • @meast36 OK well I won't get into that statement I don't want to argue with what is clearly a patriot, which is commendable by the way.

I didn't say those who live in hardship deserve the money of the richer people, all I supposed was that people can help eachother, and the difference between the trivial thickness of a millionaire's wallet is lifechanging for another American, and possibly their family.

  • You say that we have a "fuck 'em" attitude yet Americans are the most charitable citizens on the planet. We give more aid to Africa than the rest of the world combined, we gave more to Haiti than everyone else combined, same for Chile during the earthquake. We have no problem with charity, we give more to charity per capita than any other country. What I DO have a problem with is the government telling me I'm not paying enough or that someone else deserves the money Ive made more than me.

  • @meast36 Well to be honest this isn't going anywhere really. I'm not saying that they deserve money that you made yourself, believe me, where I'm from a similar situation to this is occuring and the effects really are taking their toll, it's a massive issue and is causing serious national issues.

I just thought at the time your comment at the time was really useless and it got my blood up.

  • @meast36 Oh yes and you may be intelligent and reasonable, but Varney is an idiot and a complete bullheaded asshole. From what I've observed he seems to be the type to give republicans a bad name.

  • I'm not even close to being rich. I earn 55,000 per year. That's it. If I buy a home I can't afford, I get foreclosed on. Why should I not be foreclosed on if I buy a $750,000 home and can't afford the mortgage? If I lose my job, I wait tables or work at McDonalds to pay my mortgage but I dont expect to live rent free! Do you honestly believe that you shouldn't have to pay rent or a mortgage at all? Because that is what this crazy ACORN lady is saying. And it sounds as if you are supporting her.

  • @meast36 I'm not supporting her, I'm just not supporting you. The issue isn't black and white. I'm not with you or against you.

  • @MrShadyJeff ....."i'm not from America" that says it all.

you have no rights here, no right to comment, no legitimate opinion that can be offered in the realm of an American exchange of ideas...and as far as I and any other American can see you are another bystander...a mere observer of the American experience which is first and foremost: the envy of the world. You are someone who has an opinion, a nose and an asshole...just like the rest of the world's tedious and uninspiring citizenry.

  • @s6u6r6f6 Once you've done masturbating on your own patriotism, maybe you'll realise opinions can't be legitimate, and that the American experience is total bullshit, this "realm" isn't an American exvhange of ideas, and God knows how you can call the rest of the world unispiring when your countries own gluttonous nature is raping the whole world of its culture and heritage. It's great you don't know what relativism is, but your opinion, to me, as an outside observer, is completely laughable.

  • Comment removed

  • @katty2trips

The Vietnam war resulted in 2 million civilian casualties as a result of the American campaign.

The Iraq war resulted in over 100,000 violent, avoidable civilian deaths if it wasn't for your pillaging military policies..Get the idea Amigo?

Let's not forget your esteemed heroes of the War of Independence who massacred an entire race of people. 11 million American Indians, and you dare to call Hitler bad, let alone lecture me about crime. Nice one.

  • LOL this lady is ghetto trash living off taxpayer labors. I want any politician who supports this ideology and organization like ACORN brought up on charges for thievery of my tax dollars. Maybe its time we all stop paying our property taxes and let the government figure out how they are going to support degenerates like this woman in the future.

  • i agree u cant pay then move......hmmm..take that back!! again where the fuck did the tax payers 700 billion dollars go..but not one word about that..the banks stole our fucking money..

THE PROBLEM IS THE GREEDY BANKS AND THEIR PAPER ASSES GETTING THEIR MILLION DOLLAR BONUSES.

    Black lady wins this one!

  • @dakota you are a fool and it amuses me...they demanded homes they got them...then say sorry cant pay and we arent leaving so the 700 billion should go to these dead beats well shit I will stop paying my mortgage and say im not leaving eaither...thanks for the great idea!!! ps their should have been no bail out to ANYONE

  • I thought Obama was going to fill our gastanks and pay all our mortgages himself. He hasn't done shit in well over a year in office.

  • Thanks to Democrates us taxpayers are STILL funding/supporting ACORN after all the scandals this past fall.

  • @alpharben Do you know what new names there working under?

  • varney's a childish moron and i bet he HASN'T READ the CONSTITUTION

  • This rot of this corruption from the head of the organization the encourages this illegal behavior that has been displayed in the videos shows that a complete house cleaning and FULL airing of ALL records of ACORN needs to be done. To ignore these facts and say that it is just a couple of bad apples flies in that face of overwhelming evidence of wrong doing that have been shown in the publicized videos.

  • I'm going to reiderate my point one more time, because I feel so strongly about this. Ahem. D U M B B I T C H !

  • I'm stunned. This woman is a fucking idiot. I wish I could find where she lives, break into it, plop down on her furniture and when she walks in all bitching and stuff I'll say, "No, no, it's okay, I'm going to buy this house soon. No you bitch, listen, I'm buying this house soon, so it's my right to live here even though I haven't paid for it yet."

  • Exactly. What right does ACORN need to take my hard working money that I earned by giving it to these people who can't pay their mortgages on there homes.

What right does ACORN have to hard working tax payers money?!

    ACORN are bullies and thugs.

  • Those poor, poor bankers!

  • its not black or white. its an AMERICAN issue.

  • It's not a matter of white people waking up, it's a question of when black people will wake up. The black community's so-called cultural leaders and elected officials are destroying the community and selling it back into slavery.

  • acron is a terrorist organization

  • acorn is cancer to the USA and needs to be scraped out.

idiot liberal. classic "i am owed" mentality.

  • I cant help but be reminded about "reparations" every time people argue as she is. I stay trapped in the middle of these types of arguments but the TOO BIG TO FAIL concept has sparked a TOO SMALL TO FAIL concept. All political correctness aside, Ya kinda Gotta let people fail big AND small to figure out where the problems are. Else ya cant FIX the problem.

  • I love this guy. He tells the facts unlike a lot of weak asses. Wake up people!

  • yeah he tells it like it is. He moved here to get away from a certain life and he dont mind pointing out that we are headed for being taken back by Europe.

  • I think they both have a valid point but he's right...if you cant pay your bills then get the hell out, should have thought before you bought....

  • she sounds like a liberal drone...

  • Stuart you bamf

  • There's no point engaging with this lady. She's ignorant and doesn't care. She couldn't address any of Stuart's arguments.

  • It is true that people of this type don't deserve to be accepted and welcomed, but instead of thinking so much about how these people should be punished we should be thinking about HOW these people come to be in the first place, and HOW we can fix it. You start by believing in people, not a system. And thats where this Stuart guy, and practically all of political television misses the mark.

  • I find that Stuart DOES believe in people and folks like you believe in amorphous societal systems. Even in your emotional plea to "fix it" you fail to recognize the "it" is a "who" or more accurately , several "whos". America (and capitalism) works when government gets out of the way of the individual so they can achieve. Collectivism destroys individual achievement and there is enough data proving that from worldwide historical records to fill YouTube's servers to capacity.

  • When you turn them away and define them as products is when conflict comes into the picture. Terming them "products" is turning your back towards them, slamming the door of prosperity in their face. Its says: "you are not wanted, nor are you as good as I am." And thats when these "products" begin to hate and fear you. When people are fearful and hateful they become unproductive, counterproductive, criminals, etc.

  • They don't hate and fear based on their flawed understanding of sociopolitical definitions like "product" and "unproductive". They hate because hate and selfishness are in their heart. It is selfishness that tells someone that they deserve the results of someone else's efforts without repaying them. It is selfishness that says I am entitled but I shouldn't be expected to contribute. It is selfishness (and criminality) that says you must not care about me because you won't give me what I demand

  • In fact we should expect that every citizen is looked after and cared for, and that anything less is a crime against humanity. No shit people rise and fall in the capitalist system. But many of the fallen were brought up in unequal circumstances to those who are the elevated. And when they hear that they are just a negative product of the capitalist system they get angry. Because they are not negative products, they are people! Just like you and me.

  • Americans help people more than any other group in the world , google The Fraser Institute, Canada 2006 generosity index. The "fallen" are brought up in this society if they so choose. There are alternatives to "the street" for EVERYONE and those alternatives do not need to involve breaking the laws.

  • But it is the capitalist system, which we built, that says they are not deserving of housing. Think about it! We have let a SYSTEM determine what is right and what is wrong, and systems are imperfect (everything is). Yet we accept its imperfectness, even DEFENDING it. A system should not tell us who deserves housing and who doesn't, as civilized intelligent human beings we should know that putting people on the streets is oppression, and we shouldn't accept that. We should help those people.

  • You have divulged a fundamental lack of understating of the contextual meaning of the word "system" and are basing your argument on that misunderstanding. Capitalism is a system in as much as an eco-system is a system. There is no central control nor over-arcing structural support to define it. It is organic and more importantly it IS PEOPLE. Capitalism is US, WE the PEOPLE. The morality or lack thereof is divulged by the laws of the people and the enforcing of said laws.

  • better off we all our. This is what Bertha knows and this is why she is fighting for these people. And it is WHY she came on the show. But not once do you get to here her explain that! Not once! She was never allowed a moment to talk about the REAL ISSUE! Instead she was scolded for supporting people with hopes and aspirations of their own, and they have every right to try and fulfill them. She was told that because these people weren't making anyone a profit, they were not deserving of shelter.

  • Nobody said the people don't have the "right to fulfill hopes and aspirations" they don't have the right to other people's money to pay for their mortgages nor squat on property that doesn't belong to them. It's fairly straight forward, stop obfuscating.

  • very well spoken. Its easiest to tell what people dont deserve what they have, or "demand" when it boils down to it, they really cant handle it. like a child asking to fly a plane. WHY? cuz its fun? cuz Others do it? cuz you feel somehow you could do it better? then they crash and burn and destroy all around em. All in the name of "fairness" or lol "equality" because someone who didnt earn the knowledge or ability themselves wanted to feel "equal".

  • Since these people have shown initiative in their lives then they deserve an equal opportunity to success. The street is NOT a home that fosters a sense of belonging, self-respect, or initiative. For children and adults alike who live in poverty and homelessness do NOT feel that they are cared about nor do they feel self-respect. Forget about "rights", people NEED housing in order to be successful, contributing citizens in our country. And, no shit, the more citizens we have like that, the...

  • Go Bertha and f that foreigner trying to tell you about American Rights!

  • maxangst... You mention "American Rights". In America we have something called 'proprty rights'. If you fail to pay your mortgage you have no right to remain in the house because the bank owns the house... it's their property.

But I don't expect you to understand this...

  • tylers we also have something called "banking laws" that should have prevented all this fraud that almost took our entire system down. Don't you think we might want to spend more of an effort uraveling that 787 billion proven FRAUD before you go after some little community activist group?

But I don't expect you to understand that.

  • I bet you are one of those buying into the argument that our entire economy was almost taken down because Pookie and Tanisha wanted a house.

  • Is Varney an American citizen now???

  • Its the government's job to fix this. Its true most people don't pay their bills or taxes. This guy doesn't care at all because he is making at least over $150,000 a year and he has the money to pay his taxes and bills. The problem is that there needs to be more jobs in America and the salary difference are causing problems too.Minimum salary a year full-time is about $13,000 where some people are making over $250,000.And people who make that little are working just as hard.Something is wrong here.

  • Hahaahaa...she just will not answer Stuart's question! Side-stepping, double-talking, entitled, clueless queen of thuggery (AKA ACORN).

  • Stuart barely let her get a word in. Bertha is concerned about the people in her community because she has a human connection and understanding with them, and with that comes an interest in their benefit because she cares about them. Housing is not a right guaranteed by the constitution, nor should it be. But it is key to fostering a sense of belonging, family, and self-respect- all of which are keys to success.

  • The people being thrown out of there homes obviously are not irresponsible miscreants, otherwise they would not have the knowledge or the courage to protest. Technically, yes they have been delinquents, but more importantly they are people. People who are obviously employed, hard working, and passionate- otherwise ACORN would not support them. (NO organization receiving government money is fighting for the interest of people who are who don't care about their well-being, ecspecially ACORN.)

  • I guess acorn thinks that a mortgage bill---is not a bill.

  • wow lol that guy really doesnt like the idea of poor people getting financial help when the economy crashes but its ok for the rich too get 700 bill for there bonuses at the banks . Its interesting to find out that alot of the bank have made RECORD profits for the first part of the year lol. The bankers must be laughing there arses off at us (tax payers) for allowing the bail out.

  • Letting people fall who don't deserve financial help is part of the capitalist system. This applies to big businesses and corporations as well. If they are going to fall, then let them fall. These bailouts will only serve to put us in a worse situation then we're already in. Many economists are predicting a second wave to this recession. Way to go feds!

Protectionism will get you nowhere in a capitalist society. It's a socialist philosophy that time and time again has been proven not to work.

  • "...put us in a worse situation than we're already in." (Typo)

  • Is this image of the future leader(or our current) of this country? Be afraid, be very afraid.

  • Theft is so hard to justify. Thanks for trying, Bertha. Remember, if people are paying their mortgages, nothing bad happens to them. If they're not, they're foreclosed on. No one is arguing that people who pay their mortgages should be evicted. This is a perfect example of why STUPID should hurt.

  • the rushie herbert hoover neocons is the obstruction party of NO .. the neocons are mind controlled mega ditto heads ... & for the first time the military may have killed bin laden's son ... one down & 18 more to go ... but it sends a message that the bin laden family can no longer count on our govt hiding & protecting them & giving them special priority flights back to their home country at a higher priority that our country's citizens .. they are not dealing with their business parters anymore

  • typical idiot democrat. Not one bit of sense but full of emotion with her hand out. I love seeing unemployed libs being thrown out of the houses they can't afford. Hope and change baby!

  • Comment removed

  • so why didnt the banks just go thru the foreclosure and assume ownership of the home due to non payment and then have everyone still in the house arrested for trespassing or better yet since they would still be inside the home be arrested for breaking and entering

  • wow - that woman is wacked out of her mind.

Made me laugh - good comedy!

  • black = dumb

  • Holy Hell, this lady isn't listening to a word Stuart is saying...

DELINQUENT MORTGAGE = NOT PAYING BILLS

  • As much as it sad to see people lose their homes, i have to agree with Stuart Varney on this. Because people should not buy beyond their means. Buy a house that is in your means.

  • yeah...my friend is dating his daughter

  • i hope white america had a good dose of what it's like to have africans run the show.

stuart varney is a financial expert and she is a street organizer with marxiist ideology. when mortgage holders don't pay their mortgages and stuart varney points it out to her and she denies it. pointless.

black folks in charge is a non-starter and will never be successful. the radio is on in my bedroom talking about william jefferson's trial...that la. rep. that hid 90,000 in cash in his freezer. ha.

  • You Sir, are a racist!

  • obama is doing all he can to rapidly destroy the economy of this country. what she is advocating is communism or total government control of everything. stuart varney trying to discuss rationally with her is like trying to argue with a child. useless.

  • Also, she is NOT a nice lady. She is a disgusting human being.

  • Political thugs like the likes of ACORN. She admitted to wanting to 'force' banks to her will. Utterly disgusting!

  • Hey Panther you would do well to listen to danco he seems to have his head on straight. Who do you think gets stuck paying for all you think Obama is "Helping" with. It wount just be the rich - it will be everyone even those who don't pay income tax by way of VAT and other taxes they will come up with. If you don't know what VAT is... Value added Tax. And If you are calling me a "repub" perhaps I shall call you a socialist.

  • I bought my house in 1994 when the home prices were normal. When I saw the value of my house and my nieghbors and friends quadruple in only 10 years, I knew something was wrong, and I knew that I could not afford to buy my own home at those prices. But there were idiots everywhere that thought they could make monthly payments of more than $2000 and they only made 30,000 per year. Do the freakin math, you cannot afford it, so don't sign the dotted line. If I cant pay for my home, I leave.

  • danco35 - you are sooooo right. We lived in Vegas for 6 years. In 2003 we moved from a 1900 sq. ft. house to an 1100 sq. ft. house in the small town I grew up in. I too saw it coming, Vegas was about to fall and we would lose. All I have is my common sense which has gotten me farther then my AA degree.

  • you repubs always complain about everything

  • that is not the problem. the price of the house is supposed to go up at least 3000 a month while the mortage is 1000 a month so you can make at least 2000 a month till you sell it. next year before the arm resets Anybody can affoard it, that's why we bought.

  • Panther it sounds like you got into one of those ARM scams, like nothing down and pay only the interest stuff. That is NOT the way to buy a home, it's how you can flip a house and make some fast cash, but you can also get caught holding the bag if you can't sell fast enough. I bought mine the way you buy a home, I saved for years to get a 20% down, then got a FIXED 6% 30 year loan. I make 40k a year and my home pyments are $790/ mon. I cant pay more than $1000/mon with my pay. I did the math

  • Look, that is the safest way to buy a house. When you underwater, you just live in the house as long as you can and don't pay the mortgage. Obama helps, and you save up a few months rent, and you now have a few grand spending money. It pays to buy houses.

    GET PAID!

    YES WE CAN!

  • This woman has the I.Q of a door knob. And she is CEO of ACORN.The lowest common denominator is the reason why a street agitator is president.GOD help us

  • acorn is full of shit period

  • Go Stuart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have the "right" to a home that I can't afford?

  • This is exactly how all the Obama supporters and poor Democrats on welfare feel. They think they deserve a free ride from the working class.

  • Yep

  • Look, we just stand for equality.

    YES WE CAN!

  • so tired of the left saying things are "rights" just because some people can't afford them. You don't hear middle and upper class folks very often say that these things are "rights." They actually work hard, save up, and can afford these things. I mean, we'd all be better off if we eliminated the welfare state, invested in better education at the local and state level (as well as vouchers and choice), and worked to provide real economic opportunity for the disenfranchised. That will help

  • Yes, you have a right to protect your house, but that's only if it's actually YOUR property. And it's not yours if you can't afford it! These housing-rights idiots act as though houses are the only form of homes that exist in this country, as if apartments, condos and townhouses, among others, don't exist! Condos and townhouses are pretty nice, too. Rent those and save up for a mortgage and THEN buy a house. Don't get ancy and take out a bad loan that will result in eviction.

  • Housing is bought and sold on a PRIVATE market with realtors and companies. The government doesn't own all the houses. No one has a right to tell a bank and a realtor that sold a borrower THEIR house that he/she has a right to stay in it without paying. That's THEFT, you moronic ACORN people!

ACORN should just die and stop encouraging blacks to feel entitled to all this crap and keep them in a gov't dependency mindset. ACORN is not "reform." It's DEFORM.

  • It is not theft. Sometimes you need to help people who are on the down low. If someone were smart enough to invent a homeless shelter or some place the people can go, then we maybe able to move them out, but we are faced with reality.

  • You people are so heartless and shameful it is amazing. These people are going to lose their homes. What do you want them to do now, RENT?

  • YES - What is wrong with renting?

  • Rents prices aer too high, and they will be homeless. We need to get those people renting into affoardable housing.

    HOPE AND CHANGE!

  • It seems to me all the apartments I have lived in, rent had been less then the mortgages I have paid. "HOPE AND CHANGE" comes from within, from ones own fortatude.

  • If that is the problem, then how can we blame the greedy renters for paying such a low rent. The rent needs to be higher. We need the rent affoardable!

    GOT CHANGE?

  • Housing, education, healthcare, and WELFARE: these are not rights!! You don't have a right to mooch off taxpayer dollars. You have a right to find what you can afford and compare prices and quality. Certainly, prices should be as low as possible (without gov't intervention), but no one can have a free lunch. If you want a right to all these things, go to a socialist country. Don't bring that Marxist trash in here.

Fuck Acorn. They'd be extinct if all the blacks moved up economically.

  • The banks were bailed out because people were not making mortgage payments, and continually failed to make payments. Unbelieveable. This lady cannot actually believe what comes out of her own mouth. THIS, PEOPLE, IS HOW OBAMA WON. OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST, AND THIS LADY IS BLIND.

  • True that.

  • The bullshit actions of Acorn is one of the reasons banks are in trouble today.

The people who received these loans knowing they could not repay them should be evicted. Now Acorn wants these people to squat on property they have no right to. Some people got caught up in the trap of these BS interest scams. The "Obama plan"only pertains to Freddie & Fannie lowering interest rates on loans. You aren't eligible if you are upside down in your mortgage or you haven't the ability to pay.

  • Plaese send one of these ACORN retards and I mean retards to my house. you talk about getting their
