  • 5:5 cool modeling & texturing.

loved how you combined the finished render with the wire frame to get a smooth camera movement.

    good work !

  • Very solid work!

  • Garfler...Im not a VFS student lol. I went to Full Sail, I dunno if that explains anything...but I didn't have a lot of time to put this together...about 15 days. Not to excuse it either, but it was my very first reel and I know it lacks in areas...but I am not displeased with it being my first reel. Much better reels to come I am sure.

  • Looks really great! I like how you present the models with a piece of environment, like a small diorama. Classy music lends itself very well to the presentation. That being said, you need to add a lot more models, and speed up the tempo. Employers don't have a lot of time to look over reels, so if they want to have a closer look, they'll just pause the reel. So no need got slow panning, but show diversity and energy :D You're a class A modeller! Show that you can handle everything.

  • @kredepops hey man fuck that. u dont have to defend urself...this shit is good, while there may b sum room for improvement you r progressing i would assume. clearly stated its your first n dammit its good

  • yeah sure, fuck it... no need to take advice from someone who has 6 years of experience in the business. I do agree though that he's good, as I also wrote in the previous comment a year ago.

But I actually know what game companies look for in a reel, and I've been involved in hiring 3D artists before, have you, cruthik33?.

  • the point wasnt to discredit you in any way. the point was that this garfler clown put him down because he didnt go to VFS so that in turn makes his effort inferior. i agree with what u said totally. ur sarcasm gave me a snicker as well

  • awesome, but not as good as some vfs reels I've seen, u shoulda trained some more. Why the weird music, it doesn't fit.

  • There are many, many fields within the 3D graphics category. You can work on special effects, rigging, animation, low polygon count 3D modeling, UV mapping, texturing, high polygon count 3D modeling or sculpting, lighting, modeling environments, scripting, compositing (2D actually but using 3D renderings) and so on. He simply showed a few of his models in this one, not special effects and such.

  • yeah but still, I think he's good, but he can be even better :P

  • Looks good
