Is it good for blues tones like BB King, and overdrive like Pink floyd too ? i want an overdrive able to play low gain crunchy smooth bluesy tones and great Pink Floyd sounds or ZZ TOP sounds, Popa Chubby too.... thanks great video
This thing cost as much as a Radial tonebone and the price is close to the Effectrode as well, I would get the tube preamps that I mentioned before I got this thing
@Disciple1818 Standard US Tele and Bassman '59 PTP clone if memory serves me correctly. It was a while ago. That pedal is due for a reshoot with some better quality mic/recording process. Cheers.
Took it out of the box plugged it in and did not touch a knob or button and it sounded great! I have hundreds of pedals and this is right at the top of the heap for boost and distortion - Joe Stopka/ Chicago
@Burgerman666 Hm, really? I think it's the best demo ever. You go through the range of the knobs, which most don't, and the sound quality is decent enough to get a "telephone" idea at least [ie, like how you hear things over a telephone, but don't really get an idea of the feel, etc and isnt as good as hearing it first hand through a stereo], so very nice job.
If you set up one drive for a low gain rhythm and one drive for a high-er gain rhythm- and stacked them, would you get a huge volume boost as opposed to one side at a time?
@29396 The stacked volume sum will be largely dictated by the volume set on the second circuit in the chain. The exception to this is if there is little or no gain dialed in to the second circuit and it has enough headroom to reflect the boost from the first circuit. But if both circuits have gain wound in to the point of overdrive, you'll usually find that the second circuit's volume dictates the first's when they're stacked. Hope this makes sense.. :)
Well, it's not quite a hundred, but getting close. I think I've done about 30-40 of them. Check my channel. I'll get through them all by the end of the year. Maybe. :) Thanks for watching!
Heheh. I know what you meant; it's all cool. I've gotta say though, that for all of its charms, this stomp has not earned a fixed place on my board. In fact, it was booted yesterday in favour of the Buster Jangle.
The thing that I like most about it, is that you can adjust the treble/mids and bass with it. Some pedals don't give you that fine grain option, but it would prolly take a while to find your sound on different guitars.
Hey Burg! How do you know where your knob is while not facing it?
That's Cool

@joestopka You've reminded me that I must do a reshoot of this video, with better audio production now that I'm capable. Glad you're enjoying it!

have you used the fulltone gt-500 red?
I want to know if you would pick this over the fulltone.
minibikedude04 2 years ago
Sorry, I've never used any Fulltone pedals. They're hard to find over here and they won't send me any to demo.
Burgerman666 2 years ago
@minibikedude04 I haven't tried the gt-500 but I have tried the Fulldrive 2 Mosfet and I thought the AC+ was a lot better.

Hey Brett, nice video of this pedal. You should also do a video of showing the hundreds of pedals you also have!

I'm thinking on getting one of these.
Don't you think it would be cool for country and blues? I got the BB plus. I use that for rock, and I love it!

oh, I enjoy tweaking as much as you do. I wasn't refering to you as a "crap tweaker" per say, it was a good review. Just a bunch of crap to tweak :)

looks like lots of crap to tweek before you can find your sound.

This is true. However, some of us crap tweakers appreciate the versatility.

I've not tried a Buster Jangle, might have to check it out some time.
