On 9/11, 100's of charities and corporations performed an admirable helping hand. With this devastating crisis, the SA reached-out and captured an opportunity for massive fund raising. Within hours, the $80 Million a year PR dept. was at the ready, releasing appeals to the press and the Internet using images of horror, as though this group had suffered great injury. None of the 25,000 brass band hobbyists suffered one gash or dent to a tuba or a cornet.
