i just played solo`s and songs for as long as i can remember, before you know it, pewpew finger dexterity

It's actually more than dexterity, i just said that as an umbrella term.

the chromatic permutaion exercises, then those arpeggiated emulate ALL possible patterns used in soloing and just regular playing.

It gets the fingers used to playing those patterns .
