I see this everyday. I have wondered if perhaps that the material is being discharged from planes as there is no other way to get rid of it. Or in the alternative the methods available are too expensive? Something is coming out of these planes, and the trails last for a very long time.

I Filmed a strange object coming through a cloud as it appeared from the edge of the cloud two arm things came out took a chunk out of the cloud and then the arms went back in and it went off with great speed.I still have it on my webcam but dont know how to put it online its a 90`s cam any ideas on how to please contact me thanks

Just talk to any veteran pilot from Vietnam. Or DS1 a contral like that is a huge bullsEye. Kerofuels if not burning right darken like suit from an old wood burning stove.The aerosal being dumped over us is also heated and at 35thousand feet creates the rapid expantion holding it up there for we all know how heat rises gradually cooling but still expanding upwards displacing cooler air creating the convection being seen as the Chemtrail. Or the natural product of crystals of water ice gathering into larger, heavier crystals, making them weigh more so gravity pulls them away from the lighter less dense part of the contrail and then being pushed by the wind. All against a background of mixed, mostly cumulocirrus, clouds. Simpler answer is usually the better, a concept known as "Occam's Razor". Perhaps you should get a cloud indentification guide; I've preferred the one by theAudubon Society.
