Not a big supprise...the Vikings have been speaking about North America (Vinland) for over a 1000 yrs...which suggests they new about it more than a 1000 years ago. There is an old Viking settlement in Canada that pre-dates Columbus by 500yrs.

i can believe this these ppl even found some african words and stuff in natice american languages and shit.i even heard some of those native american chants and drum beats originated in africa.
That is very interesting, and we have the answer to his question at [1:28] There was a group of Israelites, travelling with a ship from arabian to the americas, and they brought this scriptures with them. You can read the whole story in the Book of Mormon.
@Juengerchristi : In the book of Mormon it is said also that Jesus peace upon him lived in the Americas before the coming of native indians to the land and therefore before his birth . Come on guy use your brain !
@TheCourgettebedouine You should read the Book of Mormon first before you write about ist. Sorry, but your words arent right. The Book of Mormon describes the settlig of the americas and the coming of Jesus Christ after his ressurection many hundred yeras later. Its all very logic.
@Juengerchristi : I did read the Mormon book given to me when I lived in the US , by those girls and boys in white shirt and grey suit. It is nothing else than a regular evangile book which talk about Joseph Smith got the revelation and the wars in middle east between the Hittiles and others tribes. It is these boys who told me many times that Jesus was in the Americas before the coming of natives and that means to me 30 000 years ago before his birth. It is all very logic to me if they lied
@TheCourgettebedouine I dont know, waht about these missionaries spoke. The book of mormon clearly says, that Jesus Christ appeared after his death and resurection in the americas, not any other time. maybe he visited this land in spirit, because he lived before in heaven, but the book of Mormon dont tells about this.
This young missionaries meant something else, I think, when they spoke about "natives"
Does anyone know if there are any artifacts associated with this site?? I am pretty sure they date from the mid-woodland phase which puts them around 1200 yrs old. If anyone has any archaeological information on this site please let me know. thanks
@Bureyeanne "..boldly declaring profound truths..", eh? I guess I could go on and on about the absolute lack of tangible evidence for any deity, and claim that a rational human would discontinue his/her belief in such a deity when presented with tangible evidence and absolute facts. But I wouldn't go casting pearls before swine.
Now comon! We can't just go willy nilly claiming that this is reformed egyptian... after all... walking by faith and not by sight is the Lord's way. It's all too condemning to provide absolute proof or evidence because instead of things being a denial of there being actual evidence the focus then shifts to "rebellion against the revealed light."
I would do all that I could to keep the sign seekers away from this video purely because I love them and would rather they remained in ignorance.
This is akin to the Los Lunas Decalogue Stone. I find no history or dating of the stone done, so its origins, while interesting, still have a long way to go to be considered 'Lamanite' in origin.
Entertaining. But, not dated, and no evidence of it anywhere except where Brigham Young (Read Mormons) people supposedly found them. FOr all we know, they carved them themselves after visiting Oman. Mormons have been trying to prove the veracity of the Book of Mormon for years. I'd wait for independent verification from unbiased sources.
Having studied rock art from various world leaders in the fields of both prehistoric art history and cultural anthropology, I can say with good authority that there is now way these carvings are a fake.
My professor was Dr. Tepher-Jacobson. I also received training for 2 other professors of cultural anthropology on the subject of "rock art", with additional commentary from a grad student working on the subject.
I don't think this proves the Book of Mormon is true by any stretch. It only proves that there were trade routs in the ancient world. One thing for sure is these are not fakes. There is too much patterning for the above to have been created in a post industrial world.
I find no mention of such professor. What university? Again, you claim too much patterning, your opinion. Do you have the backing of a recognized expert in the field?
I may have misspelled the name due to going off memory.
Dr. Esther Jacobson-Tepfer from the University of Oregon. She happens to be one of the worlds leading authorities on the subject. The repatterning of the rock is such that it couldn't have been created within even the last couple of hundred years.
That is possible. I went off memory when I writing her name. I figured it was correct. Also I commend you for going to the source for information. Since she is retired you are likely to get a quick response.
Oh we both know that if an LDS archeologist makes a discovery, it's somehow tainted.
That's the problem nowadays. It isn't how educated they are... it's whether they're LDS or not and that's a sad state of affairs. I get irritated to see good archeology fall by the wayside by those who would make their own ignorant assessments of their uncovered work.
I'd love to see just where this one is heading and perhaps: a translation of the writings? This one's got my curiosity peaked to the utmost!
@Salsassin What would constitute solid evidence? Fact is that some accounts of the history of this great country are being challenged and rightfully so. Everyone automatically falls back to their middle school American history books with outdated information. Modern archeology suggest that there were many sea going peoples who visited this Country long ago. One fascinating example is the unearthing of Clovis Points, google it. We are just beginning to scratch the surface of history.
I probably would not doubt that because Oman is well known historically even before Islam as being a great sea power nation, so if a group of Omanis settled in the new world before Europeans that would be possible.
interesting, shahri language shares many things with old akkadian langauge and is completely differnt form the westsemitic languages(arabic, hebrew, aramaic, canaanites)
Actually All of Arabia has rich history and ancient ruins that are covered with layers of golden sand..
The lost city of Ubar is an ancient city on the Arabian Peninsula in southern Oman, believed to be the city of the people of Aad who are mentioned in the Holy Quran. Remains of the city were discovered in 1992 by archeologists using remote sensing equipment.
I am sure there are lots more to be discovered : )
That's strange (that Akkadian would have nothing common with other semitic languages), because if I remember correctly, it is a Semitic language itself.
mubz77 ur right my ancestors are from yemen and all my female family member arwe white in complextion this guy that is air look like he is indian honestly he has no arab inside him he looks more southeast asian and no arabs arent brown we are either tan,or white
That depends on your definition of Arabs. There is much disagreement over this definition, even among archeologists, historians, and other scholars. Here in America, people tend to believe that all Middle Easterners are Arabs and Muslim. The strictest definition of Arabs includes only people from the Arabian peninsula and their descendants. But the term (according to Wikipedia) can be applied much more broadly than I have enough characters to explain.
Are Omanis typically that dark? If so, that's wonderful. It's so nice to see other dark people. Some photage on the media and pictures on the Internet seem selective in how they show Middle Easterners with very light skin. As if to portray Arabs as white-skinned people.
The ancient Middle Easterners were not brown hawk-nosed Semitic Arabs. They came after the 7th century, energized by a new religion. This guy is just another racial activist, with funding from a theocratical Islamic government. Lastly, B-R-O-W-N isn't even a color.
no, you should study the history of the origins of the people mentioned in scripture. When you do a search of the Khazars (that is where your modern day Jews come from) it and they are EUROPEANS.. WHITE.. with no historical traces to Abraham or Shem. Because they claim to be of Abraham does not make it true, though it be said by millions. Do the research. Look at historians accounts of the Hebrew ppl. They described them as looking like Ethiopians & Egyptians, not looking like Greeks. GOOGLE IT
Ancient Arabs are the Semitic people that migrated of Arabia, some became famed as the Akkadians, Amorites and the sub groups that branched out of them. The original Muslims are a later Semitic group that came from Arabia bringing new Semitic tribes that just converted to Islam.
Judaisim, Christianity and Islam are religions not races!
The original Semites belonged to the Arabid race identified by Arabid J Y-DNA marker, its has two subgroups Bedouinid J1 Y-DNA & Sirid J2 Y-DNA

Well, it depends largely on how old the rock carvings are. The age of the rock carvings would indicate approximately how long ago the ppl who made them came into that region of the US and it could indicate approximately how long ago those ppl, or their ancestors, entered North America.
Since is it is fairly common knowledge that the earliest Native American ppl came into North America a minimum, which is AT LEAST, 18,000 years ago we should also take into account the possibility that it..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
...was those native ppl who made those carvings! Which means that the carvings were made by ppl who either came from the Middle East, OR, they were made by ppl who came from somewhere, probably in Asia, where those ppl learned that language.
We know that the native ppl came from eastern Asia? Why is it so hard to believe that some of them either came from the Middle East, or that they came with knowledge of a language that we know today as being native to the Middle East?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
ALL of this would mean however that Muslims did NOT discovery the US, but that their ancestors may have. Especially if they left the Asia prior to 700 A.D., as that is when the Muslim religion was founded. And since the ancestors of Native Americans entered North America a minimum of 18,000 years ago, they would had to have left a VERY long time ago!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This would also indicate that the ancestors of perhaps most Americans today and perhaps most Asians as well, including arabs/Middle Easterners, are the same ppl!
There were other people but Muslims who were Arabs, I was being sarcastic. I am a Christian Arab and my family goes way back with roots in Bethlehem. They have records and notes and they
Alternatively, the Afro-Asiatic languages originated in the Upper Nubian Nile Valley (Blench 1993, 134-37 and fig. 2). Another branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family, Semitic, was evidently spoken by Saharans who crossed the Red Sea into Arabia and became ancestors of the Semitic speakers there, possibly around 7000 B.C.E. Of the Nilotic peoples...
only the Nubians of later times are distinct, speaking Nilo-Saharan but those presently living in the Nuba Hills are still very close to Nilotic peoples in their cultural traditions."(F. Yurco "An Egyptological Review", 1996)
You notice they never give refrences to where the Arab writings originated.
Nor did they say which people lived in that region at that time. Mabye because the time would suggest that mabye the worlds first Arabs were black Africans.
Arab is a race, so the first arabs were arab by definition! What you probably meant to say was that the first Muslims were black Africans and that is not true also! They were arabs, who were probably Jews, or ppl of other religions, who converted to Islam when the religion was first created, which was in the Middle East around 700 A.D.
Sumerian, Elamite and Dravidian languages are related. Not only are they related to one another they are also related to the Niger Congo languages especially : Mande, and Wolof.
The original inhabitants of South and West Asia were the Anu people. A catastrophe took place and many of the Anu centers of civilization outside the Nile Valley were destroyed.
If you knew anything about the first people to inhabit the Arabian penensula they were of the Dravidians or black heads of South East Asia.
This should also explain why Romans never mentioned todays arabs because they didn't exist during pharonic times.
I looked myself but the only people discribed by Greeks and Romans living south of Europe were Black Africans. Never modern day arabs or semits only black Africans, like Ethiopians and Ancient Egyptians.
The peoples of Egypt, the Sudan, and much of East African Ethiopia and Somalia are now generally regarded as a Nilotic continuity, with widely ranging physical features (complexions light to dark, various hair and craniofacial types) but with powerful common cultural traits, including cattle pastoralist traditions..
Language research indicates that this Saharan-Nilotic population became speakers of the Afro-Asiatic languages, including Cushitic and Omotic, Egypto-Coptic, Berber, Tuareg [Tuareg is a Berber language], and several Chadic language [sic]; latest findings suggest that they spread out from the Sahara as the climate deteriorated (Fulco 1981; Hodge 1971; Haaland 1992, 58-61).
Skeletal evidence strongly suggests that the first settlers in the Americas had a distinct morphology - which can be seen today among Africans, Australians, and Melanesians.

The term arab is not confusing to arabs! We are part of the caucasoid white race. We have a thousand shades of whiteness, Just like negroids have a thousand shades of blackness! I am proud to be arabic white. My ancestors whgo are the Phoencians are also seafarers, spreading our knowledge and wisdom to the world.
in Libya was found writing in a cave on a big Stone some writing like that, but the pope of Rome has asked our president to seal the cave and placed an army base next to it, they said that it was written by jesus(PBUH) Apostles when they were escaping persecution from Rome long time ago

it were the muslims who found the americas...but ppl r unaware cuz they "christians" dont want it to be known that we are the real founders .....hello islam conquered spain and some other parts of europe...
I read somewhere about arabs from north Africa who travelled to the Americas. there is archeological eveidence for their existence in the Americas way before Columbus and co...
The Arabs of North Africa didn't use this script. The Script technically goes to the period between 750BC - 750AD.
The Phoenicians could have crossed the sea at that period but they were known for avoiding the inlands. They never went beyond few miles of the coast, so it has to be nomadic Semites who made there way all the way to the inlands and Dhofaris had an ongoing trade tradition with Far East Asia so they could have accidently crossed further more to the East reaching America.
so what? this was history!!

Not a big supprise...the Vikings have been speaking about North America (Vinland) for over a 1000 yrs...which suggests they new about it more than a 1000 years ago. There is an old Viking settlement in Canada that pre-dates Columbus by 500yrs.

That is very interesting, and we have the answer to his question at [1:28] There was a group of Israelites, travelling with a ship from arabian to the americas, and they brought this scriptures with them. You can read the whole story in the Book of Mormon.
Juengerchristi 1 year ago
@Juengerchristi : In the book of Mormon it is said also that Jesus peace upon him lived in the Americas before the coming of native indians to the land and therefore before his birth . Come on guy use your brain !
TheCourgettebedouine 1 year ago
@TheCourgettebedouine You should read the Book of Mormon first before you write about ist. Sorry, but your words arent right. The Book of Mormon describes the settlig of the americas and the coming of Jesus Christ after his ressurection many hundred yeras later. Its all very logic.
Juengerchristi 1 year ago
@Juengerchristi : I did read the Mormon book given to me when I lived in the US , by those girls and boys in white shirt and grey suit. It is nothing else than a regular evangile book which talk about Joseph Smith got the revelation and the wars in middle east between the Hittiles and others tribes. It is these boys who told me many times that Jesus was in the Americas before the coming of natives and that means to me 30 000 years ago before his birth. It is all very logic to me if they lied
TheCourgettebedouine 1 year ago
@TheCourgettebedouine I dont know, waht about these missionaries spoke. The book of mormon clearly says, that Jesus Christ appeared after his death and resurection in the americas, not any other time. maybe he visited this land in spirit, because he lived before in heaven, but the book of Mormon dont tells about this.
This young missionaries meant something else, I think, when they spoke about "natives"

Bureyeanne 1 year ago
So quote them directly.
Salsassin 1 year ago
My professor was Dr. Tepher-Jacobson. I also received training for 2 other professors of cultural anthropology on the subject of "rock art", with additional commentary from a grad student working on the subject.
I don't think this proves the Book of Mormon is true by any stretch. It only proves that there were trade routs in the ancient world. One thing for sure is these are not fakes. There is too much patterning for the above to have been created in a post industrial world.
Bureyeanne 1 year ago 2
I find no mention of such professor. What university? Again, you claim too much patterning, your opinion. Do you have the backing of a recognized expert in the field?
Salsassin 1 year ago
That might be because Dr. Jacobson-Tepher retired about 5 years ago.
Bureyeanne 1 year ago 2
I may have misspelled the name due to going off memory.
Dr. Esther Jacobson-Tepfer from the University of Oregon. She happens to be one of the worlds leading authorities on the subject. The repatterning of the rock is such that it couldn't have been created within even the last couple of hundred years.
Bureyeanne 1 year ago 2

Actually modern archaeology is not showing that, and at most you are getting fringe claims. Like the Solutrean claims on clovis.

WHITE.. with no historical traces to Abraham or Shem.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Well, it depends largely on how old the rock carvings are.
SpookeyR 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
...was those native ppl who made those carvings!
SpookeyR 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
ALL of this would mean however that Muslims did NOT discovery the US, but that their ancestors may have. Especially if they left the Asia prior to 700 A.D., as that is when the Muslim religion was founded. And since the ancestors of Native Americans entered North America a minimum of 18,000 years ago, they would had to have left a VERY long time ago!
SpookeyR 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
This would also indicate that the ancestors of perhaps most Americans today and perhaps most Asians as well, including arabs/Middle Easterners, are the same ppl!

Of the Nilotic peoples...
gimmedat22 3 years ago 2
only the Nubians of later times are distinct, speaking Nilo-Saharan but those presently living in the Nuba Hills are still very close to Nilotic peoples in their cultural traditions."(F. Yurco "An Egyptological Review", 1996)

You notice they never give refrences to where the Arab writings originated.
Nor did they say which people lived in that region at that time. Mabye because the time would suggest that mabye the worlds first Arabs were black Africans.
gudlokingout 3 years ago 2
Well, as we already know, in the middle east there is only one, out of many, branches spoken from a big tree of Afro-Asiatic Languages.
All the rest of the Afro-Asiatic Languages are spoken in Africa, exactly where they (Afro-Asiatic)originated.
Afro-Asiatic languages, including Cushitic and Omotic, Egypto-Coptic, Berber, Tuareg [Tuareg is a Berber language], and several Chadic language.
KnowledgeisKey626 3 years ago 4
Arab is a race, so the first arabs were arab by definition! What you probably meant to say was that the first Muslims were black Africans and that is not true also! They were arabs, who were probably Jews, or ppl of other religions, who converted to Islam when the religion was first created, which was in the Middle East around 700 A.D.
Jesus was a Jewish arab as well!

The Sumerians were negroes , just like Africans.

Never modern day arabs or semits only black Africans, like Ethiopians and Ancient Egyptians.
gudlokingout 3 years ago
The peoples of Egypt, the Sudan, and much of East African Ethiopia and Somalia are now generally regarded as a Nilotic continuity, with widely ranging physical features (complexions light to dark, various hair and craniofacial types) but with powerful common cultural traits, including cattle pastoralist traditions..
gimmedat22 3 years ago
Language research indicates that this Saharan-Nilotic population became speakers of the Afro-Asiatic languages, including Cushitic and Omotic, Egypto-Coptic, Berber, Tuareg [Tuareg is a Berber language], and several Chadic language [sic]; latest findings suggest that they spread out from the Sahara as the climate deteriorated (Fulco 1981; Hodge 1971; Haaland 1992, 58-61).
