And God bless Corbetta for the hope of extending their career, but really when all is said and done, this is the 2nd and last decent tune they did. Probably best that CBS turned 'em down 'cause they would have sucked CBS for all they were worth...
Great song! Skynyrd, Grand Funk Railroad, Steve Miller Band and so on! ear candy all of them from the good old days, just like this one as well!!! The key is: vocals!!!
1975 Arkansas sinsemilla was $15 for a big fat four finger lid. Still, the medical MJ is 1000% better than that old stuff, and I'd rather pay $55 for a quarter oz of OC Kush than $15 for an oz of that sinse.
@roccotanto I don't know where you lived to have payed $40 an ounce for weed in '75, but in Indiana it was only $30-35 an ounce, and that was for the Redbud and Goldbud. A quarter pound was only $95-105 back then, and we thaought prices were high. LOL
I hear two familiar keyboard riffs; Frankenstein by Edgar Winter Group. And at 2:35 I really hear Stevie Wonder's intro to Superstition. Still, this is a damn fine song.

Ah memories of my Pa's old Alfetta, which he'd fitted with a sophisticated (in its day) Pye car hifi with Aiwa amp & speakers, always playing the rock 'n' roll. Memories of watching the sun set through the windscreen as Pa would zoom down the N2 at 150 kms, after a day of whale-watching in Hermanus, my sunburnt kid brother asleep on the back seat as I'd sit back in the co-pilot's seat and let the cool sea air blast me through those little triangle vents that cars had in those days....
Any way, we cut a hit and we toured a bit with a song he said he couldn't use And now he calls and begs and crawls It's telephone deja vu We got percentage points and lousy joints And all the glitter we can use, Mama So, uh huh, don't call us now, we'll call you Listen kid you paid for the call You ain't bad but I've heard it all before Don't call us, we'll call you Don't call us Don't call us, we'll call you
SUGARLOAF - "Don't Call Us We'll Call You" A Long distance directory assistance, area code 212 Say hey, A and R this is mister rhythm and blues He said hello, and put me on hold To say the least the cat was cold He said, don't call us child we'll call you I said, you got my number He said yeah, I got it when you walked in the door Don't call us, we'll call you Don't call us, we'll call you
This video,I have no idea if was made back in the day when song was popular, but it just hit me it is a lot like the Peter Gabriel video for Sledge hammer? Just a thought..
