@modoranemanuel yes exactly what I'm thinking too Armin is a great dj but his productions are not following anymore his last album is disapointing as was Imagine, except for gaia-tuvan (and I really prefer the Gareth Emery remix actually) He became a lot more commercial and its not pure beautiful trance like A&B, Super8&Tab, Gareth Emery or Aly&Fila just to mention a few ;) In fact, it's a bit like Tiesto but not so extreme, anyway dJ mag is a pure joke just see the number 2... david guetta...

@pieyre88 i personally like adam nickey, funabashi, and temple one. its the smaller groups of trance that i follow that appeal to me the most. above and beyond is pure class though, and not to take anything from armin, he's amazing, but not the best out there.

@pieyre88 I never thought Armin was a talented producer to begin with. Benno de Goeij works on almost all of his tracks, and despite that fact they're usually very generic sounding going all the way back to 76. But back then trance was still more underground than it is today so even lame tracks were pretty good. That David Guetta point speaks volumes, but the rankings still impact the careers of the not so famous DJs in terms of getting more gigs, so it's unfortunate that it's a farce.
