Amazing lyrics and soulfully delivered by Irene Cara. This is a difficult song to sing, I sang it as a duet in 8th grade and that was a long time ago. Glee today is what Fame, (the series) was to my generation. An amazing and talented cast on Glee. I remember hearing this song years ago and then was reminded when I watched Glee this last week. I love Glee and their version, but Irene Cara has just the right blend of strong vocals with sweet tone to her voice which is perfect for the song. At a closer look, when I looked at the lyrics, I realized how much this song spoke to me, since I'm dealing with a difficult disease and sometimes feel like an outcast. I'm glad this song has touched so many people, just like it has for me.
