  • This story is way too eerily similar to what happened to me this summer, except I wasn't hiking with my wallet on me at the time, lest I be ID'd by story hungry journalists and plastered all over the news.

  • Glad you are ok! I had to wonder, though- am I the only one that noticed the misspelling at 0:23 on the newscast? I believe it's spelled, "vertical", not "verticle"! Haha!!! That editor should reconsider their job choice! Amazing story, however... again, glad you are safe.

  • poisonfume@ i see what you mean your mother and father new the risks but they went ahead anyway and 9 months later you came along they brought it on them selves!!

  • hope ya make it ok mate shit it must of hurt

  • So, you're out of your fucking mind, right?

Who do you think doesn't deserve health -- The one who has an accident and rolls with the punches, or the one who acts like the world revolves around you and that you can decide who deserves pain and who doesn't?

  • It was never implied that what happened wasn't a mistake, as we've all acknowledged that many times. But you had no right to say the things you did. You obviously weren't involved in any way, and don't know the extent of everything that happened. So why come in here and pretend you have a clue, when you've made it quite clear that you don't? Also, comparing this to that beer can thing isn't even close.

Oh, learn to spell. It might make these riveting conversations of ours easier to read.

  • I guess your just another one of those losers here on youtube.. Oh well

  • damn bro, almost the same shit happnd to me, except i fell off a cliff about 50 ft high, left me paralyzed from mid-chest down, t-5 complete.

  • Glad your alive, so obviously this type of rock crawling is of the question, would it be possible to outfit a Jeep to hold your wheelchair and allow you to rock-crawl in a Jeep? I imagine setting up a vehicle for a wheelchair is expensve but hey at least you could get back on the mountains. Wish you the best!

  • You don't need to customize a Jeep more than putting in hand controls for the gas and brake.

  • Primarily was wishing you well, but since tech talk is your main concern it really depends on the severity of the paralysis, guess with waist down cases that's all you need. Many of the Jeeps in our group do events where we take wounded soliders out on the rocks and have seen various conditions. Sounds like your done with any form of rock crawling since you didn't respond. Good luck with whatever you do.

  • @Oblivion718 man, gas and brake with hand controls.. like driving a boat :D, happy your alive bro.. Keep the happiness up.. and keep fighting bro...

  • are you from MN?

  • I'm not from Minnesota. I'm from Utah.

  • props to SAR!

  • Definitely! I don't know where I would be now with out them. I had also been lucky because SAR was up there for some boy scouts that were up there.

  • dude im so sorry...

  • good of you to post the video as a warning

  • Thank god you are alive, sure people will help

  • I guess the waterfall is near the bottom of the canyon? I've been near there, but up on the hog's back between Rocky Mouth and Big Willow, probably too far up to see the waterfall.

  • It is towards the bottom. The video mentions it's just a quarter of a mile from the trail head.
