Thank you SO much for posting this. I taped it off Peely at the time but the tape has just about given up the ghost. Those were the days. Where are Johnny Moped, Patrick Fitzgerald, The Prams et al when you need them?
Just found this again after all those years on a CD compilation of the Brighton bands from my local library, I still remember the Peel introduction as I used to tape his whole show most nights when I was meant to be revising for school exams.. this is easily the best track across the whole cd
Tell your friends to listen - I've told my one. This record needs the attention and love it has deserved for 30 bloodly years! My god - I'm getting bloody old.
Love it, love it, love it. Darris explained to me on a railway bridge near Falmer Station Brighton that he'd just written a song that contained following lyrics...... (words to Bloody...never seen snow ectmmm)
Coming down from London to see him and all was one of the main reasons I fell in love with Brighton and have therefore now lived here for the last 20 years! Reunion gig rock on! (Cudlip)
Many thanks....I had this recorded from the show on a c90 tape.. which I played a thousand times .... but bust after 15 years..excellent tune...really enjoyed heaing it again....
The Goliski brothers were my reason for living back in 1979. Saw them loads of times - loved Poetry in Motion and had huge crush on Will. Brighton rocked in the 70's and 80's - it WAS a great place to grow up.
The Golinskis are planning a reunion gig in Brighton at the end of October / beginning of Sept. 2009. Stay tuned ! say hi to the sax player if you make it...
I prefer the cover version of the "Long Tall Texans"...
but as always..just a matter of different taste :-)

Oh My God I can't believe I found the Golinkskis again! The best song ever written was poetry in motion. Maybe on the boulevard. :)
