Obama is great!...fuck all the racist haters..they'r just mad b/c the old american tradition has died out...there is a place for them underneath the earth called "hell" with a red evil landlord carrying a fork.
You are so good at criticising people. Then why don't you study politics and contest for the presidency. You are running a democracy before decisions are taken you have to go thru something called PARLIAMENT AND DEBATE. the parliament isn't full of people who support you and so they will do EVERYTHING in their power to stop you. It is a miracle that he is still able to achieve anything under that amount of intense pressure. Why don;t you run for presidency and let's see how you do or else SHHH.
Dont like his politics much....yes he became prez when the world was in a crisis, but he still could have done more.....But there is is no denying that he tried and is trying and that he has a good heart (for a politician)...and is very charismatic.
Black, Brown, White, Red, Yellow ...even green ... This man's heart is in the right place - He is Genuine, and he is Trying, and that is ALL that should matter!!!
@tonm08 False. He can can be genuine, and he can try. But that's not helping the crises in America. I understand that he took over at a bad time but when you hold the most powerful office in the country, timing is no excuse. At the end of the day he is not solving the problem.
Not false! Timing did NOT help this president in any way-shape-or-form. He had a HUGE heap of shite on his plate - which was passed down to him to go figure! You can hold the most powerful title in anything, but when you are handed a bucket of shite to deal with - including opposing sides - it is not going to be easy or solved overnight. Lessening such a huge mess will take time!
He is a president, not a magician. Again, he is genuinely trying - That is most important!
@tonm08 No disrespect, but you don't live in America. You don't understand how bad it is. One thing we don't have is time, Or money for that matter. Stop giving him excuses. It's time for him to turn a bucket of shit back into the country we used to be.
2. If you think you can do better & quicker then run for the presidency yourself. And what period are you talking re: the way your “country used to be”? Because the last presidency, along with the USA weren’t very favourable in the eyes of the world! At least that is not so harsh, now. The rest, (economics of your county, etc), will take time. Again, he’s not a magician or a God …he’s a human being, trying to deal with a large scale human crises.
1. Eh, actually we do know what is going on in USA; we do have satellite TV & plenty round-the-clock news channels – which includes NBC and CNN, ABC, etc. “excuses”? Sounds more like you're making up “excuses” to diss him! As for your last sentence, again - from what we see, that is exactly what he is TRYING to do with that bucket of shite – trying to clean the huge mess he inherited.
How about havin' a word in the ears of those opponents who won't agree on ANYTHING he HAS "tried" to move forward with? At least he didn’t FIRST need their approval in order to go ahead and accomplish ONE of America’s biggest wishes ...finally catching the most wanted terrorist in the world.
OR, howz about just referring back to my previous posts - which are in reply to a post basically like yours...The answers are there & as far as things stand, thus will remain the same.
I see Jay Rockefeller and John Boehner in the background. The real problem with America is these career politicians-oligarchs-kleptocrats. Those people only represent the highest bidder.....not the people. They bailed out the people that did not need to be bailed out and screwed the home owners of America. Foreclosures are now at an all time high and Goldman Sachs profits are at an all time high. Awesome bailout from the "REPRESENTATIVES" WHO DO THEY REPRESENT?????????????????????????????
The fact that Obama is nothing more than a corporate sock puppet, a completely hollow vassal being used & manipulated by globalist controllers to carry out their agenda, is emphasized in that the corporate media mogul & Bilderberg luminary Mortimer Zuckerman wrote one of Obama’s speeches.
His own words were. I voted for Obama, I helped write one of his speeches,” Zuckerman told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, which speech? Zuckerman responded, I’d rather not go into that!
Obama is a embarrassment , not good on his feet. A great speaker when the words are written out FOR him. He went to Harvard to be a attorney, but couldn't make it at that either. If he has to think about what he's saying on the spot, he's dead meat. He's going to have a problem unless he sticks to his talking points since that is basically a written out speech. Politicians & Preachers ! Two professions that take just a good sales pitch to get over on the masses.
@josephortizgarcia You got me laughing son. That just about says it don't it? After every sentence the audience stands, starts clapping.
The exact reason I don't watch this man speak, someone writes his speech, he's NEVER held a real job, regardless of what his resume says! That's a fact! He knows how to speak, learned that in Harvard going to law school, never was a attorney. Now he's using his skills to bamboozle the Americans who always like a good fairy tale. But he can't dance!
@LordKaisen You people? Hate You People... hate what people? Whats funny ? Whats cute? Nothing you said made a bit of sense ! Perhaps why your comment doesn't amount to a drop of piss?
@LordKaisen Hate what people? What are you talking about.. Hate...? I don't get it? Whats this got to do with Hating someone. ? The colossal ignorance of the people on the internet is frighting and pathetic. Some on in office that would do there job would be nice.
We are all born ignorant ...but you have to work at staying stupid...
The View has turned into a hate hub for Whoopie to complain about white america and white celebrities on almost a daily basis. Yet she walks off the show when Tiger Wood's gets caught cheating.
we sold saddum checmial weapons, we trained terriost how to fight, we funded al-qaeda from 1989-1992 we gave them 6 billion dollars, osama bin laden was a cia taction, the patriot act wasnt for terrorists its used to shut up any1 who talks about the evil the government does. in my opionion 9/11 was a inside job. do u really thing the Illuminati is just a fucking conspiarcy theory? impeach the whole system
@scribe63 not really because white is also a colour. and white people are not actually white they are cream with a pink/hue. and black folks are actually brown skinned because the name black was emposed on them by the first europeans that collanized africa. so when you mix cream/pink and brown you now have a copper/bronze colour which is obama. so the first half-caste biracial president sounds perfect.
I disagree with Barbara that Wright advances ANY kind of bigoted agenda. Joyce is correct that Wright was referring to the ancient Roman empire which was extremely violent, hateful, and dictatorial -- it was an oppressive, slavery based colonialist empire which brutally & violently oppressed it's own citizens- it killed JESUS! It is amazing that Barbara takes Wright's views (which actually condemn racism) completely out of context. Listen to Wright's FULL interview w/Bill Moyer for the TRUTH
@caviper1 Dont ask for something you dont really want....this is nothing but a PUBLIC view of Obama. It's all show! He is wrong for America...not to say he could be good for a different county! Europe would best suit him.
@sondraavellino So sad that you don't realise what a great man you have as your president! Maybe he is just too damn intelligent for some mid-western, bible belt, 'smoke em out', creationist type Americans to fathom!
Be careful boy don,t let that bulldog mouth overload your puppy dog ass. You might find underneath the tea party boot. Have fun starving to death now that the government titty has pulled from your lazy mouth. Look around titty baby your dumbocrap bedwetters are powerless so go cry to a libtard gaytheist and see if they give a fuck.
Absolutely the Worst president in American history. If you give this goon a chance he will rival Hitler. Thank god the people rendered him powerless. Look at all the liberal loons circle jerking now that they are powerless to do anything. We gave them power and they abused it while talking down to us at the same time. So let the gridlock begin.
@carwile75 a typical delusional teabagger deprived of his medicine. Obama's a pretty awesome president. abused power my ass,Obama was far too clement when dealing with pests like you.He should have had the fuck-you attitude bush had,but he's too much of a gentleman. pity. anyway, hitler was right-wing, you inbred corndog-chewing rat-semen.
@xtrmsprts Have you been living under a rock. That piece of lazy welfare trash has done absolutely nothing. If you really think obama is trying to do anything but socialize everyone like the idiotic dictator he is than you are deaf dumb and blind. Do you even know we just voted you dumbocraps out of power. The people have voted and gridlock is a blessing in comparison to what the socialists have planned.
@xtrmsprts INCORRECT Fascists are much closer in ideology to communists who are extreme left wingers. Fascists regimes believed in big government and control of the business sector. Democrats believe in big goverment, where as the Tea Party movement favors smaller government. There are as many delusional liberals as there are delusional Tea Party members. Obama also has a fuck-you attitude as you put it. Look at Obama care. The majority of Americans opposed it yet he pursued it any way.
@carwile75 How was Bush better than Obama and Clinton?, was it by (a) Destroying the economy or (b) Spending Billions of dollars and thousands of U.S. lives on a needless war in Iraq ?!!! There were no WMD's you Retarded Tea bag!
@jimmykola do you not think the tea party are brainwashed then? What are your beliefs?....ps I tried to debate with them, but they lapsed into calling all Obama supporters stupid socialist homo's so I was only speaking their language the only own they seem to understand back to them..These people don't understand intelligent debate unfortunately.
@Uksmith1 Isympathize with you. I've had the same experience dealing with alot of liberals. I remember the nasty names they called President Bush. Dealing with them is like dealing with children. You have to lower the level of logic and reasoning so they understand. Unfortunately ignorance knows no political party or philosophy. Regarding the Tea Party, they are as brainwashed as any extemists, left or right. Thanks for the reply...happy and healthy holidays.
@jimmykola Yes I know what Bush has been called, but in all fairness, Obama is an infinitely more intelligent, thoughtful, eloquent person than George Bush, who if you really thought about it, only got there because of his father and was a puppet of Cheney... I am British and so can be objective, I'm aware that people from every other coutry in Europe pretty much feel the same way about both Bush and Obama. What's your view on Obama?
@Uksmith1 Considering their respective intelligence, both men are Ivy League graduates. Obama Harvard and Bush Yale. Obama is an eloquent speaker in form, but not in substance. He struggles without his teleprompter. Being the son of a President no doubt helps, but you also have to factor in the two men Bush ran against in his elections, both left wingers. As far as those in Europe favoring Obama, that's no suprise. Europe is very much leaning towards socialism just like Obama.
@jimmykola Ulike Bush he likes to think b4 e speaks. Obama wouldn't have been elected president of the Harvard Law society if he was unable to express himself. Examples of Bush's inability to speak English is too numerous to count , 'misunderestimate' is just one. Americans like to think Europe is socialist its not... its just a more a caring form of Capitalism. I think its the next step in America's evolution....considering how Christain many Americans claim to be!
@Uksmith1 Don't forger about Obamas inability to speak, The United States has 57 States, when referring to Navy Corpsman, pronouncing "corpse" man not "core" man the way it should be pronounced...got alot of jokes about that one. Obama also on numerous occasions has used the word Bush is a
He thinks well with a teleprompter, the problem is when he doesn't have one. The US has 57 states, he pronounced Navy Corpsman as "corpse" man not "core" man. Paying tribute to a room of serviceman on Memorial Day clearly mistaking it for Veteran's Day. The word "misunderetimate" similar to Obama's "irregardless", "reoccur". It's colloquial, not a big deal. Obama has been President less than two years....he will catch up if the media covers it like they did to Bush. Caring Capitalism?????
@jimmykola Reoccur is a word meaning 'Happening again' so wha'ts ur point?. Lets face it , Bush's disasterous command of the English lanugage is legendary, they're even posters on sale with his top 20ridiculous statements.'The French have no word for entrepreneur' as if relations with France werent bad enough. Obama isn't a robot and yep if he is being recorded 24/7 there might be the odd tired slip up but NEVER 2 the extend of that joke of man..Bush. ps U not understand caring capitalism?
@Uksmith1 nmThe word he meant to use was recur, different meaning. Listen if you like OBAMA SO MUCH YOU CAN HAVE HIM. He should be available in two years..He's not very popular here because of his failed policies. WE will have to agree to disagree. P.S. , why such interest in U.S. politics, it seems you have your own problems over in Europe? Caring Capitalism .....your right the has U.S. is the most caring, generous, charitable capitalist citizens in the world. Good luck two you.
@jimmykola Its Bush's policies that have failed- He was president when the economy collapased because of a lack of regulation. He was the bloodthirsty puppet who led American into a needless war in Iraq (there were no WmD's) costing your country billions, in dollars and thousands of young lives. Obama is merely trying to undo the damage! If Americans are so caring, generous and charitable why does the phrase 'spread the wealth' instill such fear and repulsion among republicans ???????????????
@Uksmith1 True the lack of regulation happened when the Democrats took control of the Senate and House of Rep. The lack of regulation of the housing industry, failure of oversight of Wall Street. There is enough blame to go around. "Spred the wealth" dosen't srike fear...redistribution of the wealth does. Needless war, I think all ward are needless, but that's just me. It is also possible while undoing prior damage to creat new damage. We
@jimmykola Are you saying the banks were fully regulated under George Bush until the democrats took over in 2006?? Also you think all wars are needless, does that include the war against Nazi Germany?
@Uksmith1 Never said "fully regulated under George Bush" but rather "lack of regulation." As far as "all wars are needless" I said that knowing this would get the reaction from you that it did Diplomacy dosen't always work, you should know that, Neville Chamberlain September 27, 1938 appeasement of Hitler. If Hitler was removed from power then, history would be alot different today. Whether one agrees or not Sadaam Hussein was a tyrant who had shown how terrible he was and could become again
@jimmykola If you knew I was going to mention it, why not refer to it in advance of my reply then?.Hitler was at height of power in1938 and war was inevitable by then either way, U haven't ans my Q as to whether you think war against Hilter was 'needless' as you claim all wars are? Yes Saddam was a tyrant but unlike Hitler he wasn't planning to take over the world. The whole premise Bush was peddeling for going to war was WMD's that didn't exist. Moreover, Why was focus taken off Bin laden??
@Uksmith1Listen, this is getting boreing now, You love Obama, most of America doesn't.... enjoy the next two years he's got left. I try living in the present and hope to have a good future. Bush bashers live in the past and continue to blame everything that happened and is going to happen on him...it's getting old now. Obama's honeymoon is over. It's time for him to step up to the plate. That's what about 60% of American's think and the number is groing. Let's debate on another topic ZZZZ.
@Uksmith1 Answering your questions in advance takes all the fun of it. I love debating with liberals, especially ones who bash America, but don't live here. They hate America until they need to get bailed out or rescued in a war. I knew my useless war statement always gets reactions from liberals. Nine out of ten time bring up Nazi Germany...you didn't dissapoint me. Any how I think we are wasting our time debating. Fix your own country , students rioting in the street, etc. Thanks.
@jimmykola Ps I don't hate America at all!! You r confusing the world's disregard for Bush as a disregard for America. Bush really destroyed America's credability. He made some disasterous decisions & spoke like a cowboy.ie .'smoke em out'..cringe!. Meanwhile Clinton who I actually met, was making far more intelligent statements such as, " We need to make it clear that America and Islam do not need to be enemies as there are six million Americans who are both happy to be both Muslim & American.
@Uksmith1 He wasn't planning to take over the world, just the middle east. Hitler was in the height of his power in 1938? I guess Chamberlain waited to long. I think Hitler was in the height of his power on December 7, 1941. The next day the United States got invovled in Europe and you know the rest.
@jimmykola It seems I hit a nerve as u r getting miffed, America knew about Hilter and had a policy of 'oh just leave them to it'... as u know it wasPearl Harbour finally brought America into the was war as u had not other option then, but it still took 4 years of combined effort. You conveniently did avoided ans my question why was the focus switched from Bin Laden who boasted about 9/11 and claims to be planning more attacks, especially on the US to Saddam who had no WMD's?...
@Uksmith1 Like I said already, it’s was a fun debate, buts it’s getting played out. It is obvious that you have extreme distain for President Bush and great admiration for Obama, I feel the opposite. This discussion is now all over the place. Now Bill Clinton and Pear Harbor and Bin Laden are part of the discussion. As far as hitting a nerve, not at all, it’s been entertaining. But this discussion has drifted to so many topics. I’ve also had the opportunity to have met Bill Clinton in 1993.
@jimmykola In fairness Jimmy, u were the 1 who said u wanted to debate something else & then u complain when the debate naturally expands into other topics. U still haven't answered why focus was taken off Bin Laden and on to Saddam? Is it because you have no ans that u think its getting boring. Also u give say The U.S.helped out in WW2 out of pure charity for Europe, but it was Pearl Harbour. Also if Hitler had conquered Europe, then America would have been next..what's ur opinon on Clinton?
@Uksmith1I don’t think I was complaining, it’s a matter of opinion again, I guess. The U.S. involvement in WW2, as you know was a direct result of Pearl Harbor, Pacific theater. I never said our involvement in Europe was charity, but rather it was aid and protection of its allies. I don’t think Hitler had the military capacity, or desire to wage war on the U.S. on U.S. soil. The reason Germany declared war on the U.S. was to support its ally Japan.
@jimmykola Well saying it was getting boring and using Zzzz sure sounded like a complaint.. Anyway if Hitler had conquered Europe then America would have been under serious threat, as the combined resources and population of Europe would have surpassed that of the U.S who also had to fight a war in the pacific. Rem Hitler wasn't logical just very greedy, insanely egotistical and on an ethnic cleansing / world domination mission..
@Uksmith1 “Well saying it was getting boring and using Zzzz sure sounded like a complaint”, lighten up it’s just a joke, not a complaint. Loosen your collar. It’s a friendly debate. We also disagree on your view of WW2, but that’s okay too. I’m moving on to a global warming debate that’s getting interesting. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
@Uksmith1 I don’t think focus was taken off Bin Laden. The U.S. is probably the only country that has the military ability to multitask at such a level. Clinton had him; Bush wanted him, Obamas still looking for him. Clinton was a good President for the most part. Good on domestic policies, like the economy and taxes, weak on international issues. He was offered Bin Laden as you know, but turned him down because of “legal authority” Good with the ladies. Not a supporter of the military.
@jimmykola Re Bin Laden..yes the focus was taken off him which is why he is still at large &Saddam, who yes was a tyrannt, but had nothing to do with 9/11 was hunted down and exceuted. Of course this was so the US could take over the oil fields and pretend it was all about the freedom for the Iraqis, over half of whom resent Amercia being there .Life is worse now for the average Iraqi. Anyway I take it you are dedicated Bush supporter as u are refusing to admit he made any mistakes.....
@jimmykola This is the problem we are having. “Re Bin Laden..yes the focus was taken off him” It is pointless to continue…we don’t agree. I disagree with your oil point because if that were true, our oil princes in the U.S. wouldn’t be at historic highs. I am not refusing to admit Bush made any mistakes…never said that. Being resented is not unusual for America, case in point the French. We bailed them out of two wars and they resent us.
@jimmykola Its funny u used the word 'our oil princes in the US' instead of 'prices'..freudian slip me thinks! US didn't bail the French out, Russia played a huge part in defeating Germany a did Britian, yes the U.S. helped but only because you had no choice but to join in (2 years late) after Pearl Harbour. Please stop smugly claiming full credit for something ur country had a delayed & only partial contribution to.Ps. what mistakes do you admit Bush made then?...just out of curiosity :)
@jimmykola Im aware I've had typos too, but your one was quite an ironic in my opinion, Reason I said u were being smug is that you've previoulsy said that if it wasn't for the U.S. that all of Europe would be speaking German and you bailed out the French etc, when it was a combined effort, not soley and American one, who made a partial contribution. Hope u keep well too but before I bid you happy holidays can I inquire as to what mistakes to you think Bush made?
@jimmykola Ah Jimmy are you mad with me now? I explained why you came across in my opinion as smug.. its clear you are a die hard repulican, as u refuse to say what mistakes you thinks Bush has made. Its ok the debate was enjoyable but if you answered my last question, it may have made me think twice about my opinion of Republicans..ah well...
@Uksmith1 What is smugness to one is pride to another. Yes we have made a lot of mistakes, but overall we have done many great things. We learned this from our over seas cousins. Bush mistakes: not regulating the banking industry and housing market enough. Not doing enough to secure our southern border with Mexico, not doing enough regarding education. P.S. you spelled previously and solely wrong. LOL.
@jimmykola Aw Jimmy I've lost some respect for u now; pointing out typo's just 4 sake of it is petty & beneath u. Only reason I pointed out ur typo was because of the IRONY of mispelling it as 'our oil 'Princes' in US' instead of prices, but maybe that point went over ur head Nothing wrong with having pride in ur country, but when u claim, we'd all be speaking German without the U.S is forgetting the huge contribution made by Britain & Russia ,which comes across arrogant & a bit delusional,
@Uksmith1 I’m not mad at all, rather I told my wife I have a liberal friend over sees, and find our conversations very interesting. I used spell check because I couldn’t find my glasses and that’s how princess not prices came about LOL. My friend, I’m a proud American, proud of my great country.
@jimmykola Ps Friend, having said all that I do actually like you and your manner of debate and think America is a great country for the most part, but just the certain things i've mentioned grate on me bit .Also I think its so sad that Obama is being demonised and villified by Fox news who is owned by the Australian tabloid king, Rupert Murdoch. He doesn't have America's best interests at heart, but rather that of his profits at any sensational cost.
@Uksmith1 Trust me your point didn’t go over my head, like you said it was an IRONY on your part. I was just joking with you. If you sat down with me and had a black and tan you would understand that. True Obama is highly criticized by FOX news. The station gears it views towards its audience. But the same can be said about MSNBC and CNN, that for all intensive purposes have canonized Obama.
@Uksmith1 Like when Chis Matthews the host on MSNBC said when Obama spoke “I felt this thrill going up my leg”…objective journalism? Interesting enough FOX news has a bigger audience than MSNBC and CNN combined. Americans as a rule lean more to the right. Middle Americas, those from the heartland are conservative in their beliefs. The ones George Bush appealed to, the farmers, construction workers, factory workers, etc. Obama appealed to the North East and Pacific States.
@jimmykola No that wasn't objective journalism, but an opinion piece in a newspaper is still considered journalism when its clear its just ' the journalist' s opinion'. Same can be said about the Chris Matthews show which is not hard news but rather a news talk show where hosts are expected to give their personal opinions. What do u think of Jon Stewart btw? sure he acts goofy but a genius lurks beneath. Ps I laughed when u said share a Black & Tan as it has a different meaning over here :)
@Uksmith1 The reason Obama got elected wasn’t because of Democrats and hard leaning leftists, there weren’t enough votes. Rather many independents, and as CNN and MSNBC like to call racist, homophobic, rich white male republicans voted for him also. Granted the far right Republicans and conservatives didn’t vote for him, and never would. The problem now is he has lost the independents, and moderate republicans he once had, as the recent elections showed. I still enjoy our debates my friend.
@jimmykola Re point of the factory, construction workers etc leaning more to the right.. I think its fair to deduce that many of those people (not all) are generally less educated than many West and East coast liberals..and are probably more suscetible to media maniuplation by the likes of Fox news. You should google/youtube Rupert Murdoch, he was caught on camera admitting he tries to shape the views of his audience as opposed to merely reflecting them.. food for thought!
@Uksmith1 As far as the black and tan, I have no idea, but it doesn’t sound like it came out the way I wanted it. Like the time when my friends and I were drinking in a Washington D.C. bar and we heard one English guy say to his friend he wanted a fag. Needless to say the bar went silent, until he explained he wanted a cigarette. Same language, I wonder sometimes.
@jimmykola Haha Ah yes the double meaning of fag always gets a laugh, its like the Irish when they say they are looking for some 'Craic' it means innocent merry making, but sounds exactly like the drug 'crack'.
@Uksmith1 Granted there are a lot less now. Initially when he was new to the scene he was like a shepard leading his flock. A lot of the flock has strayed away, but the hard idolizes the man. To a lesser degree, do to a much smaller audience, George Soros is like a mini-Murdoch. He is a primary financial backer of The Open Society Institute, Center for American progress, Media Matters, America Coming Together, and Democracy Alliance.
@Uksmith1 No doubt that Murdoch learns right, I don’t think he has ever tried to hide that. Interesting enough, his New York newspaper the Post supported Obama in the election, and he himself hosted a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. Manipulation, that’s an interesting point you brought up. Obama has manipulated like a pro himself, almost brainwashed the alleged educated class in America. We refer to them as Obamanites in the U.S.
@jimmykola How has he brainwashed the educated classes who generally r well able to think for themselves?.He knew Healthcare bill wasn't popular, but it meant millions more Amercians would have access to afordable health care, surely that's a sign of an evolved society. What's the point of being a rich country if many cannot afford healthcare. He had 2 b clever to get into office, but now that he has he is genuinely attempting to do the state some service & undo damage from previous admin.
@Uksmith1 A plan that just focused on the minority of insured would have been better than the one now that adversely affects the majority of Americans who are happy with their existing insurance. Fortunately the plan can not be implemented without funding approval from the House of Representatives which come the New Year will be under Republican control. Hopefully some compromise can be made so everyone has affordable insurance.
@Uksmith1 .” Few if any doubt that reform was needed, but not radical, poorly thought out reform. The problem did not happen overnight and should not have been fixed overnight. There is a major constitutionality problem with the bill which is the forcing of citizens to have to accept the governments plan if they aren’t insured or face criminal/civil liability.
@Uksmith1 Those who have insurance have already seen increases in their insurance premium rates. Legitimate fear that private insurance companies may be forced out of business, thus forcing those subscribers to have to take the government plan. The legislation was pushed thru so fast that even the members of government voting on it didn’t have time to read it. 2000 plus page legislation with less than 48 hours to read. As Speaker Pelosi said, “we will see what’s in the bill after voting on it
@The problems with the health care bill are far too many to mention, but here are a few. The number of uninsured Americans ranges between 16 mill. to approx. 40 mill. depending on which statistics you use. Some numbers include illegal immigrants, approx 15 plus mill. to 20 plus mill. Illegal immigrants should not be entitled to free health care on the tax payer’s wallet. The taxes are being levied now for a plan that doesn’t kick in until 2014. The majority of Americans did not want the plan
@Educated people can sometimes be sold a bill of goods because they can be as gullible as anyone else, and hear what they want to. Intelligence and common sense don’t always go hand in hand. No doubt he was clever, but so are con artists and snake oil salesman too. Clever is synonymous with politicians in American, as well as a lot of other less flattering words.
@jimmykola No matter what Obama does, Republicans slate him, on one hand they say he's done nothing, on the other that he is rushing the bill both Clinton & Ted Kennedy attempted to pass. The Insurance companies seem to have a stranglehold on healthcare in the US & when actually a pay out was required by a client/patient there are many documented cases of Insurance companies not coughing up. They greedily want to hold on to all profits & don't give a damn! Profit & Healthcare should not mix!
@Uksmith1 Brainwashed, maybe temporary insanity would have been a better choice of words. This temporary insanity, infatuation, has since passed, as reflected by his dismal popularity, even among his own base. His popularity is among the lowest of any modern President at this point in his term.
@jimmykola To indirectly compare President Obama 2 a snakeoil salesman is such a misjudegement of character, he could have stayed a top lawer and had an easy life. Instead he has really tried to improve things for the less well off and middle income families..but of course the rich industrialists who claim to be oh so Christian hate putting into practice what they preach.... Bush fits the bill of snakeoil salesman so much better & is sadly responsible for death of thousands of young Americans
@Uksmith1 He came to the police station where I work, in NYC. I also met Obama in 2007. (Pictures with both) I’ve moved onto another board with some other people, but thanks I enjoyed the back the forth….stay well. I hope to have another exchange with you on another fresher topic.
@Uksmith1 The end result of removing this mini-Hitler from power was millions of people were freed from oppression. Iraq is far from paradise, but neither was the U.S. after our freedom from oppression. There are those who feel the U.S. should stay out of other nation's business. Should we have minded our own business in Europe in WW2, it wasn't our war. If we had kept out, all of Europe would be speaking German today. It is to soon to judge, history will, and I I think it will approve.
@Uksmith1 The end result of removing this mini-Hitler from power was millions of people were freed from oppression. @Uksmith1 The economy as you put it collapsed during the last 2 years of President's 2nd term. That is the period when the Democrats took control of both the houses of government. Deregulation of the housing industry and lack of oversight of Wall Street. Google Barney Frank and Chris Dowd you might find it interesting. There is enough blame to go around. It's not the phase "spread the wealth" that srikes fear, but rater redistribution of wealth" big difference. Charity vs Socialism.
@Uksmith1 Like I said Obama should be available in 2 years if you want him. His mystique apparently still shines in Europe, but in the U.S. his mystique has turned into a masquerade. His popularity has continues to sink at a steady rate.(failed and unfulfilled promises) A recent CNN poll, far from a conservative bastion showed that Bush would beat Obama in a election now. Obama is well like as a person by myself and most Americans as a person, not as a politician, as is George Bush.
@Uksmith1 It is obvious that we are diametrically opposed in our views. I did enjoy the debat, but it is pointless. We are both strong in our convictions, as well we should be. The world economy is failing, alot to blame on one man. American is rejecting Obama, as well as his Democratic party. I want nothing more than to see American continue to succeed. I don't care under who's watch it is. I just doubt Obama's abilities due to his lack of executive experience. I don't doubt his intent.
people, it dosnt matter if hes on a hour show once ina while. its not like hes at a desk ALL the damn time. if he has a hour hobby to touch base with fans of the pres. well i dont see a issue with it.
Carwile75 : Your 'comment' proves my point EXACTLY - I rest my case. Bell-ends! (And for the uniniated .... that's a perjorative term here in the U.K)
Good heavens .... this man is intelligent. This makes a refreshing change for America ... and then, along comes those right-wing bell-ends .... the Tea Party ('we're not a Party ... we're a Movement!!! - then why have the word 'Party' in your name?!!!) ........... heaven help us all if these eejits are allowed to persist.
@MadAsABoxaFrogs Look around we are doing more than persisting. We are in control and the pansy party of nanny state socialism is coming to a screeching halt.. Obama is a 1 term dead beat president who can,t pass gas.
@martinimix79 Obama is already hated more than any other president in American history. If you don,t believe it you are in denial like the 3 24 hour rag bags on this 1 sided so called view. Obama is gonna lose in a landslide if he runs again guaranteed. I am gonna go get my kid a happy meal now while the toys are still in them.
@carwile75 .. those that watch Fox miss news are bound to get a bullshit view of the world.. small minded right wing agenda that has very little to do with the truth..
@TheJoeB1Kanobe And those whom watch MSNBC get the real truth? Bull shit. Both parties are blind to the simple truth that Obama works for the same elite bankers that Bush worked for, and Clinton before him.
@TheJoeB1Kanobe Learn how the federal reserve works....they printed the money to create a boom for clinton. Clinton is as evil as Bush, and Bush is as evil as Obama. Check out my channel
@RageAgainstNWO .. so what do you want to do about it? we all know there are problems but nobody offers solutions just complaints.. You are trying to tell me that clinton had nothing to offer? really! why would anyone bother when there is no recognition for anything good that is achieved!
@TheJoeB1Kanobe Oh yeah what does the gaystream media have to offer. They want to herd you in a little box and socialize your stupid ass and brag about how rich they are and how stupid you are for making them rich. Wake the fuck up are you deaf dumb or just brainwashed. Your party has one goal collapse the economy and make us into socalized bricks. Not me i will kill everyone of you brainwashed fuckers and die trying if that what it takes. I would rather die fighting free than live as a slave.
@carwile75 .. You will die fighting alright.. Repulicans have started a couple of wars that will make sure of that.. And if that does not get you.. running a debt that has crippled the country for generations to come.. The wheels fell off the economy just as Bush was leaving, laughing all the way to the bank.. Do not know why the replublicans would want to be in power again? there is no more maney left for them to waste!
WOW he is grey. When he first came to office he looked like Will Smith now he looks like Morgan Freeman. His ratings in the UK have gone very low, not as low as Hilary Clinton but low. I think it was when he kept calling BP British Petroleum. It has not been that for the last 10yrs and the US have more shares than the UK. Is he still popular in the US? Are the celebs still ass kissing him.
@wickedfan5172 Change you and who can believe in i know you are not speaking for the majority of the people. Look around dumbass the campaign of bullshit is over and the people hope they can keep the change in their pockets. You are in the minority of idiots on the lunatic fringe. I bet you are gullable little sheep.
@carwile75 No. Actually I'm not a gullable sheep. And are you capable of having a political discussion with somone without calling them names or trying to bully them? Don't try to use the shield of the internet to bully me because it's not going to work. Just shows your educational and maturity level.
OMG! YOU PEOPLE ARE INSANE! DO SOME RESEARCH! You'll find Ford started with deregulating transportation, then came Reagan (with the most damage). Reagan began the union-busting (decreasing livable wages), and "trickle down economics" (absolute joke). Even Bush Sr said Reaganomics was "voodoo economics." Clinton then enacted NAFTA, which exacerbated the problem, but then came Bush Jr, with so many trade agreements and tax breaks, it was ridiculous, not to mention a war fought by contractors.

I read somewhere that he has taken the most vacations than any president before, and that he has worked so hard. That laser-like focus got that health care bill to go through, how many homes have been lost to that redistribution of wealth? IM SORRY MR PRESIDENT THAT HEALTH CARE BILL DOES NOT PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. MAYBE IF YOUR PRIORITIES WOULD HAVE BEEN 1.JOBS, 2.HEALTHCARE MY MOMMY AND DADDY COULD HAVE KEPT THEIR HOUSE.
12 seconds in, he got so choked up because he was laughing in your faces, that he could not remember how to repeat the words. Even if bush did dig a 2 foot water hole obama did not have to fall in thrashing his arms like a wild man drowning. "Bush did this, Bush did that" Obama saying he hated that oil companies were throwing .. wait .. lol.. here it comes... "BLAME, AND FINGER POINTING..." Can you believe he did all the finger pointing getting elected now he is mad about finger pointing.
@mmorrellwilson - Really? You must be joking. This guy is abusing this country and its people every second he is president. You must be extremely intellectually challenged. Sorry for all of us if there are more like you our there.
These women are are as funny as a cancer diagnosis. And whats with the red head with the facial tick. The only good thing I can say is that the black chick from sister act is better then that fat loadmouth that used to feature in the promo clips. God awful show. Just an infomercial for celebrities.
As for Obama, I don't know much about him, but I can guess that in the USA he must be down in the poles for him to appear on this crappy production.
Between the actually relevant, educated comments are the totally irrelevant, UNeducated exclamations like "WORD!" and "GET OVER IT!"....OMG. What the FUCK is the matter with people in this country nowadays? They don't even do ANY thorough research on what they are talking about before they put in their half-cents. FOLKS! You have access to the internet obviously...here's an idea: why don't you USE it to EDUCATE yourselves before you start offering your stupid, ignorant comments!!!
Barbara Walters can`t even move her face. One mare face-lifting and she will have a triangeled beard. Sorry, you were an amazing person... when you were authentic years ago.
Folks, this is not a Democrat isse. This is not a Republican issue, either. The whole "team Dem's" and "team Rep's" is an illusion...to keep us distracted and divided by small issues. It's all good til the puppeteers agenda starts to get treaded on...then they reach down and cut some strings, if necessary. By "cut strings" I mean KILL PEOPLE, too. Look up Obama's, Bushes and Clintons family lineage. See how they are all connected. "Barack" is not even our president's real name--it's BARRY!!!
@TheKayanna12 Bill Hicks quote “Go back to bed, America, your government has figured out how it all transpired. Go back to bed America, your government is in control......."
@TheKayanna12 (Bill Hicks quote, continued) "....Here, here's American Gladiators. Watch this, shut up, go back to bed America, here is American Gladiators, here is 56 channels of it! Watch these pituitary retards bang their fucking skulls together and congratulate you on the living in the land of freedom. Here you go America - you are free to do what well tell you! You are free to do what we tell you!”
@TheKayanna12 I believe the great Mr. Hicks was referring to you, Kayanna, and all your ignorant brethren! Time to flush your blue pills down the toilet, sweetheart; time to recognize your true reality...if you have the actual intellect and the courage to do it, of course. Good Luck!

Again, he is genuinely trying - That is most important!
tonm08 9 months ago 3
@tonm08 No disrespect, but you don't live in America. You don't understand how bad it is. One thing we don't have is time, Or money for that matter. Stop giving him excuses. It's time for him to turn a bucket of shit back into the country we used to be.
MIKElikestoMOSH 9 months ago
@MIKElikestoMOSH
Again, he’s not a magician or a God …he’s a human being, trying to deal with a large scale human crises.
tonm08 9 months ago 4

Listen to Wright's FULL interview w/Bill Moyer for the TRUTH

carwile75 1 year ago
@xtrmsprts INCORRECT Fascists are much closer in ideology to communists who are extreme left wingers. Fascists regimes believed in big government and control of the business sector. Democrats believe in big goverment, where as the Tea Party movement favors smaller government. There are as many delusional liberals as there are delusional Tea Party members. Obama also has a fuck-you attitude as you put it. Look at Obama care. The majority of Americans opposed it yet he pursued it any way.

jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Yes I know what Bush has been called, but in all fairness, Obama is an infinitely more intelligent, thoughtful, eloquent person than George Bush, who if you really thought about it, only got there because of his father and was a puppet of Cheney... I am British and so can be objective, I'm aware that people from every other coutry in Europe pretty much feel the same way about both Bush and Obama. What's your view on Obama?
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Considering their respective intelligence, both men are Ivy League graduates. Obama Harvard and Bush Yale. Obama is an eloquent speaker in form, but not in substance. He struggles without his teleprompter. Being the son of a President no doubt helps, but you also have to factor in the two men Bush ran against in his elections, both left wingers. As far as those in Europe favoring Obama, that's no suprise. Europe is very much leaning towards socialism just like Obama.
jimmykola 1 year ago

Obama also on numerous occasions has used the word Bush is a
jimmykola 1 year ago
He thinks well with a teleprompter, the problem is when he doesn't have one. The US has 57 states, he pronounced Navy Corpsman as "corpse" man not "core" man. Paying tribute to a room of serviceman on Memorial Day clearly mistaking it for Veteran's Day. The word "misunderetimate" similar to Obama's "irregardless", "reoccur". It's colloquial, not a big deal. Obama has been President less than two years....he will catch up if the media covers it like they did to Bush. Caring Capitalism?????
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Reoccur is a word meaning 'Happening again' so wha'ts ur point?. Lets face it , Bush's disasterous command of the English lanugage is legendary, they're even posters on sale with his top 20ridiculous statements.'The French have no word for entrepreneur' as if relations with France werent bad enough. Obama isn't a robot and yep if he is being recorded 24/7 there might be the odd tired slip up but NEVER 2 the extend of that joke of man..Bush. ps U not understand caring capitalism?
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 nmThe word he meant to use was recur, different meaning. Listen if you like OBAMA SO MUCH YOU CAN HAVE HIM. He should be available in two years..He's not very popular here because of his failed policies. WE will have to agree to disagree. P.S. , why such interest in U.S. politics, it seems you have your own problems over in Europe? Caring Capitalism .....your right the has U.S. is the most caring, generous, charitable capitalist citizens in the world. Good luck two you.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Its Bush's policies that have failed- He was president when the economy collapased because of a lack of regulation. He was the bloodthirsty puppet who led American into a needless war in Iraq (there were no WmD's) costing your country billions, in dollars and thousands of young lives. Obama is merely trying to undo the damage! If Americans are so caring, generous and charitable why does the phrase 'spread the wealth' instill such fear and repulsion among republicans ???????????????
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 True the lack of regulation happened when the Democrats took control of the Senate and House of Rep. The lack of regulation of the housing industry, failure of oversight of Wall Street. There is enough blame to go around. "Spred the wealth" dosen't srike fear...redistribution of the wealth does. Needless war, I think all ward are needless, but that's just me. It is also possible while undoing prior damage to creat new damage. We

Whether one agrees or not Sadaam Hussein was a tyrant who had shown how terrible he was and could become again
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola If you knew I was going to mention it, why not refer to it in advance of my reply then?.Hitler was at height of power in1938 and war was inevitable by then either way, U haven't ans my Q as to whether you think war against Hilter was 'needless' as you claim all wars are? Yes Saddam was a tyrant but unlike Hitler he wasn't planning to take over the world. The whole premise Bush was peddeling for going to war was WMD's that didn't exist. Moreover, Why was focus taken off Bin laden??

It's time for him to step up to the plate. That's what about 60% of American's think and the number is groing. Let's debate on another topic ZZZZ.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Answering your questions in advance takes all the fun of it. I love debating with liberals, especially ones who bash America, but don't live here. They hate America until they need to get bailed out or rescued in a war. I knew my useless war statement always gets reactions from liberals. Nine out of ten time bring up Nazi Germany...you didn't dissapoint me. Any how I think we are wasting our time debating. Fix your own country , students rioting in the street, etc. Thanks.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Ps I don't hate America at all!! You r confusing the world's disregard for Bush as a disregard for America. Bush really destroyed America's credability. He made some disasterous decisions & spoke like a cowboy.ie .'smoke em out'..cringe!. Meanwhile Clinton who I actually met, was making far more intelligent statements such as, " We need to make it clear that America and Islam do not need to be enemies as there are six million Americans who are both happy to be both Muslim & American.
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 He wasn't planning to take over the world, just the middle east. Hitler was in the height of his power in 1938? I guess Chamberlain waited to long. I think Hitler was in the height of his power on December 7, 1941. The next day the United States got invovled in Europe and you know the rest.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola It seems I hit a nerve as u r getting miffed, America knew about Hilter and had a policy of 'oh just leave them to it'... as u know it wasPearl Harbour finally brought America into the was war as u had not other option then, but it still took 4 years of combined effort. You conveniently did avoided ans my question why was the focus switched from Bin Laden who boasted about 9/11 and claims to be planning more attacks, especially on the US to Saddam who had no WMD's?...
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Like I said already, it’s was a fun debate, buts it’s getting played out. It is obvious that you have extreme distain for President Bush and great admiration for Obama, I feel the opposite. This discussion is now all over the place. Now Bill Clinton and Pear Harbor and Bin Laden are part of the discussion. As far as hitting a nerve, not at all, it’s been entertaining. But this discussion has drifted to so many topics. I’ve also had the opportunity to have met Bill Clinton in 1993.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola In fairness Jimmy, u were the 1 who said u wanted to debate something else & then u complain when the debate naturally expands into other topics. U still haven't answered why focus was taken off Bin Laden and on to Saddam? Is it because you have no ans that u think its getting boring. Also u give say The U.S.helped out in WW2 out of pure charity for Europe, but it was Pearl Harbour. Also if Hitler had conquered Europe, then America would have been next..what's ur opinon on Clinton?
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1I don’t think I was complaining, it’s a matter of opinion again, I guess. The U.S. involvement in WW2, as you know was a direct result of Pearl Harbor, Pacific theater. I never said our involvement in Europe was charity, but rather it was aid and protection of its allies. I don’t think Hitler had the military capacity, or desire to wage war on the U.S. on U.S. soil. The reason Germany declared war on the U.S. was to support its ally Japan.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Well saying it was getting boring and using Zzzz sure sounded like a complaint.. Anyway if Hitler had conquered Europe then America would have been under serious threat, as the combined resources and population of Europe would have surpassed that of the U.S who also had to fight a war in the pacific. Rem Hitler wasn't logical just very greedy, insanely egotistical and on an ethnic cleansing / world domination mission..
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 “Well saying it was getting boring and using Zzzz sure sounded like a complaint”, lighten up it’s just a joke, not a complaint. Loosen your collar. It’s a friendly debate. We also disagree on your view of WW2, but that’s okay too. I’m moving on to a global warming debate that’s getting interesting. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 I don’t think focus was taken off Bin Laden. The U.S. is probably the only country that has the military ability to multitask at such a level. Clinton had him; Bush wanted him, Obamas still looking for him. Clinton was a good President for the most part. Good on domestic policies, like the economy and taxes, weak on international issues. He was offered Bin Laden as you know, but turned him down because of “legal authority” Good with the ladies. Not a supporter of the military.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Re Bin Laden..yes the focus was taken off him which is why he is still at large &Saddam, who yes was a tyrannt, but had nothing to do with 9/11 was hunted down and exceuted. Of course this was so the US could take over the oil fields and pretend it was all about the freedom for the Iraqis, over half of whom resent Amercia being there .Life is worse now for the average Iraqi. Anyway I take it you are dedicated Bush supporter as u are refusing to admit he made any mistakes.....
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@jimmykola This is the problem we are having. “Re Bin Laden..yes the focus was taken off him” It is pointless to continue…we don’t agree. I disagree with your oil point because if that were true, our oil princes in the U.S. wouldn’t be at historic highs. I am not refusing to admit Bush made any mistakes…never said that. Being resented is not unusual for America, case in point the French. We bailed them out of two wars and they resent us.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Its funny u used the word 'our oil princes in the US' instead of 'prices'..freudian slip me thinks! US didn't bail the French out, Russia played a huge part in defeating Germany a did Britian, yes the U.S. helped but only because you had no choice but to join in (2 years late) after Pearl Harbour. Please stop smugly claiming full credit for something ur country had a delayed & only partial contribution to.Ps. what mistakes do you admit Bush made then?...just out of curiosity :)
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Spelling error ,not a slip, you have had a couple also. Uksmith1 I have not been smug. If you feel I have than stay well.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Im aware I've had typos too, but your one was quite an ironic in my opinion, Reason I said u were being smug is that you've previoulsy said that if it wasn't for the U.S. that all of Europe would be speaking German and you bailed out the French etc, when it was a combined effort, not soley and American one, who made a partial contribution. Hope u keep well too but before I bid you happy holidays can I inquire as to what mistakes to you think Bush made?
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@jimmykola Ah Jimmy are you mad with me now? I explained why you came across in my opinion as smug.. its clear you are a die hard repulican, as u refuse to say what mistakes you thinks Bush has made. Its ok the debate was enjoyable but if you answered my last question, it may have made me think twice about my opinion of Republicans..ah well...
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 What is smugness to one is pride to another. Yes we have made a lot of mistakes, but overall we have done many great things. We learned this from our over seas cousins. Bush mistakes: not regulating the banking industry and housing market enough. Not doing enough to secure our southern border with Mexico, not doing enough regarding education. P.S. you spelled previously and solely wrong. LOL.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Aw Jimmy I've lost some respect for u now; pointing out typo's just 4 sake of it is petty & beneath u. Only reason I pointed out ur typo was because of the IRONY of mispelling it as 'our oil 'Princes' in US' instead of prices, but maybe that point went over ur head Nothing wrong with having pride in ur country, but when u claim, we'd all be speaking German without the U.S is forgetting the huge contribution made by Britain & Russia ,which comes across arrogant & a bit delusional,
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 I’m not mad at all, rather I told my wife I have a liberal friend over sees, and find our conversations very interesting. I used spell check because I couldn’t find my glasses and that’s how princess not prices came about LOL. My friend, I’m a proud American, proud of my great country.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Ps Friend, having said all that I do actually like you and your manner of debate and think America is a great country for the most part, but just the certain things i've mentioned grate on me bit .Also I think its so sad that Obama is being demonised and villified by Fox news who is owned by the Australian tabloid king, Rupert Murdoch. He doesn't have America's best interests at heart, but rather that of his profits at any sensational cost.
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Trust me your point didn’t go over my head, like you said it was an IRONY on your part. I was just joking with you. If you sat down with me and had a black and tan you would understand that. True Obama is highly criticized by FOX news. The station gears it views towards its audience. But the same can be said about MSNBC and CNN, that for all intensive purposes have canonized Obama.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Like when Chis Matthews the host on MSNBC said when Obama spoke “I felt this thrill going up my leg”…objective journalism? Interesting enough FOX news has a bigger audience than MSNBC and CNN combined. Americans as a rule lean more to the right. Middle Americas, those from the heartland are conservative in their beliefs. The ones George Bush appealed to, the farmers, construction workers, factory workers, etc. Obama appealed to the North East and Pacific States.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola No that wasn't objective journalism, but an opinion piece in a newspaper is still considered journalism when its clear its just ' the journalist' s opinion'. Same can be said about the Chris Matthews show which is not hard news but rather a news talk show where hosts are expected to give their personal opinions. What do u think of Jon Stewart btw? sure he acts goofy but a genius lurks beneath. Ps I laughed when u said share a Black & Tan as it has a different meaning over here :)
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 The reason Obama got elected wasn’t because of Democrats and hard leaning leftists, there weren’t enough votes. Rather many independents, and as CNN and MSNBC like to call racist, homophobic, rich white male republicans voted for him also. Granted the far right Republicans and conservatives didn’t vote for him, and never would. The problem now is he has lost the independents, and moderate republicans he once had, as the recent elections showed. I still enjoy our debates my friend.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Re point of the factory, construction workers etc leaning more to the right.. I think its fair to deduce that many of those people (not all) are generally less educated than many West and East coast liberals..and are probably more suscetible to media maniuplation by the likes of Fox news. You should google/youtube Rupert Murdoch, he was caught on camera admitting he tries to shape the views of his audience as opposed to merely reflecting them.. food for thought!
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 As far as the black and tan, I have no idea, but it doesn’t sound like it came out the way I wanted it. Like the time when my friends and I were drinking in a Washington D.C. bar and we heard one English guy say to his friend he wanted a fag. Needless to say the bar went silent, until he explained he wanted a cigarette. Same language, I wonder sometimes.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola Haha Ah yes the double meaning of fag always gets a laugh, its like the Irish when they say they are looking for some 'Craic' it means innocent merry making, but sounds exactly like the drug 'crack'.
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Granted there are a lot less now. Initially when he was new to the scene he was like a shepard leading his flock. A lot of the flock has strayed away, but the hard idolizes the man. To a lesser degree, do to a much smaller audience, George Soros is like a mini-Murdoch. He is a primary financial backer of The Open Society Institute, Center for American progress, Media Matters, America Coming Together, and Democracy Alliance.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 No doubt that Murdoch learns right, I don’t think he has ever tried to hide that. Interesting enough, his New York newspaper the Post supported Obama in the election, and he himself hosted a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. Manipulation, that’s an interesting point you brought up. Obama has manipulated like a pro himself, almost brainwashed the alleged educated class in America. We refer to them as Obamanites in the U.S.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola How has he brainwashed the educated classes who generally r well able to think for themselves?.He knew Healthcare bill wasn't popular, but it meant millions more Amercians would have access to afordable health care, surely that's a sign of an evolved society. What's the point of being a rich country if many cannot afford healthcare. He had 2 b clever to get into office, but now that he has he is genuinely attempting to do the state some service & undo damage from previous admin.
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 A plan that just focused on the minority of insured would have been better than the one now that adversely affects the majority of Americans who are happy with their existing insurance. Fortunately the plan can not be implemented without funding approval from the House of Representatives which come the New Year will be under Republican control. Hopefully some compromise can be made so everyone has affordable insurance.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 .” Few if any doubt that reform was needed, but not radical, poorly thought out reform. The problem did not happen overnight and should not have been fixed overnight. There is a major constitutionality problem with the bill which is the forcing of citizens to have to accept the governments plan if they aren’t insured or face criminal/civil liability.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Those who have insurance have already seen increases in their insurance premium rates. Legitimate fear that private insurance companies may be forced out of business, thus forcing those subscribers to have to take the government plan. The legislation was pushed thru so fast that even the members of government voting on it didn’t have time to read it. 2000 plus page legislation with less than 48 hours to read. As Speaker Pelosi said, “we will see what’s in the bill after voting on it
jimmykola 1 year ago
@The problems with the health care bill are far too many to mention, but here are a few. The number of uninsured Americans ranges between 16 mill. to approx. 40 mill. depending on which statistics you use. Some numbers include illegal immigrants, approx 15 plus mill. to 20 plus mill. Illegal immigrants should not be entitled to free health care on the tax payer’s wallet. The taxes are being levied now for a plan that doesn’t kick in until 2014. The majority of Americans did not want the plan
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Educated people can sometimes be sold a bill of goods because they can be as gullible as anyone else, and hear what they want to. Intelligence and common sense don’t always go hand in hand. No doubt he was clever, but so are con artists and snake oil salesman too. Clever is synonymous with politicians in American, as well as a lot of other less flattering words.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola No matter what Obama does, Republicans slate him, on one hand they say he's done nothing, on the other that he is rushing the bill both Clinton & Ted Kennedy attempted to pass. The Insurance companies seem to have a stranglehold on healthcare in the US & when actually a pay out was required by a client/patient there are many documented cases of Insurance companies not coughing up. They greedily want to hold on to all profits & don't give a damn! Profit & Healthcare should not mix!
Uksmith1 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Brainwashed, maybe temporary insanity would have been a better choice of words. This temporary insanity, infatuation, has since passed, as reflected by his dismal popularity, even among his own base. His popularity is among the lowest of any modern President at this point in his term.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@jimmykola To indirectly compare President Obama 2 a snakeoil salesman is such a misjudegement of character, he could have stayed a top lawer and had an easy life. Instead he has really tried to improve things for the less well off and middle income families..but of course the rich industrialists who claim to be oh so Christian hate putting into practice what they preach.... Bush fits the bill of snakeoil salesman so much better & is sadly responsible for death of thousands of young Americans

Charity vs Socialism.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 Like I said Obama should be available in 2 years if you want him. His mystique apparently still shines in Europe, but in the U.S. his mystique has turned into a masquerade. His popularity has continues to sink at a steady rate.(failed and unfulfilled promises) A recent CNN poll, far from a conservative bastion showed that Bush would beat Obama in a election now. Obama is well like as a person by myself and most Americans as a person, not as a politician, as is George Bush.
jimmykola 1 year ago
@Uksmith1 It is obvious that we are diametrically opposed in our views. I did enjoy the debat, but it is pointless. We are both strong in our convictions, as well we should be. The world economy is failing, alot to blame on one man. American is rejecting Obama, as well as his Democratic party. I want nothing more than to see American continue to succeed. I don't care under who's watch it is. I just doubt Obama's abilities due to his lack of executive experience. I don't doubt his intent.
