I too lived in the Azores in 81-82. Those folks are so cool. I loved George(RIP), the gang at Foto Iris. True human beings. The Hotel Angra. Churrescaippa in Praia. Marrceinlinos in Angra. To this day the best filet mignon I have ever tasted. God blessed this place. I really want to go back before I die. Reuben, Speedy, Carlos, Augustino, I love you all. The taxi guys were the best!!

Lindo. Eu tive o privelegio de viver em Praia e as Lajes por 6 meses como missionario SUD (aquelles rapazes de camisa branca e gravata e plaqueta preta). Eu sinto muito a falta de la.. Eu tou aqui em America, minha terra, e sai ha um ano atras, mas a ilha nunca saiu de mim. Se virem esses rapazes, falem com eles, que eles realmente amam o povo terceirense. E esta montagem foi linda.

i lived there it was my playground when i was a little boy. i live in the united states now. last month a photographer stoped in front of my house to photograph the setting sun view i have outside my window. its beutiful here also. but you know why im looking at this video.

I love this place and miss it. The Military sent me there for about a week for six summers in a row back in the eighties. It's the most beautiful place I know and it's impossible to describe to people who haven't been there. Words just don't do it justice. I still have three photos I took in 1985 mounted on my wall.

God I miss it! I usually go every year but its been 2 years i havnt gone...my family is there, and it is honestly paradise! I love this island with my heart and soul..hopefully ill be back to drink some sagres and lay on the beach!

I lived in Fontinhas for 3 years. Spent many nights down at the Casa da Povo playing dominoes with the locals...oh, and drinking the Carlsberg. At the time, the exchange was 180 escudos (scoots) per dollar...what a deal. A buddy of mine had a house in Porto Martins...we used to hit golfballs into the surf...way before Kramer did it.

@BeNNi77 ..I lived in Praia for 2 years way back in 1972. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world.I still miss exploring the caves,the bullfights,and drinking beer at George the Crooks.
