  • James Cameron GET BACK TO TERMINATOR

  • one of the best films of all time

  • 5:12 Best intro ever!

  • Comment removed

  • I get goosebumps when I hear this intro.

  • 1:36 few seconds after this I always get goosebumps ; simply terryfying ; wonder how they made the model move so smoothly.

  • T-3 did not need to exist! It contradicts everything in the first two films. Sarah even states two terminators where sent through time not three. Also John can still be born because the future is an alternate timeline where Johns father is never identified and thus not affected by the present timeline. In the present timeline his father is Kyle and Judgement Day can be stopped because the future is not set.

  • Terminator: A

    Terminator 2: A

    Terminator 3: C

    Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles: B

    Terminator 4: F!!!!

  • Why do the terminators have aimbot, they should be booted from the server

  • no more add!!!!!!!

  • Together with Bram Stoker's Dracula, best intros ever in the history of cinematography...

  • 2:34 = Pause. Bad MF...

  • 1:28

    Epic

  • In the Salvation movie, they used bullets not lasers..

  • @Naruto98553 ...which is why I thought this was a much cooler representation of the war against the machines

  • @Naruto98553 That's because Salvation took place in 2018 but Terminator 2 (the intro atleast) takes place in 2028 meaning within that time period, they found out how to use laser.

  • @Naruto98553 cause salvation is a fail movie. Im with James Cameron, the movie ended with Terminator 2 Jugdement Day

  • @lfgubrs lol I hated Salvation, it was even worst than 3.

  • @Wasp1984 I havent even seen Salvation yet lol, As long as i have Terminator 2 i dont need another Terminator movie :D

  • @lfgubrs Well its just a shame James Cameron had nothing to do with 3 and 4 hence why they were awful. He should of made them both like George Lucas directed ALL the Star Wars movies. Though Episode II was the worst one.

  • @Wasp1984 Yeah i agree, though its better that Lucas made all star wars movies instead of some jerk. Cameron said that he didnt wanted anything to do with the 3 and 4th terminator movie cause according to him the story ended with the second one, and with one of the best endings ever i couldnt agree more. Now they just want to make money with shitty movies

  • @lfgubrs Agreed T-2 was the best by far. But even though it wasnt that great they needed to make a T-3 think about it if it ended with T-2 that Skynet/Cyberdine was destroyed and there was no judgment day thus no war then Kyle Recese would have never been sent back and John would have never been born.

But Slavation and the TV series I think I would rather watch shit flow down a sewer it was that bad !

  • @thebritish25 in an alternate timeline John wouldnt be born yes. You can get insane when thinking about such things:p

  • I like the intro because they actually built the terminators, and both the flying and ground HK's. they weren't mock up's or CGI or anything fake. They were actually built.

  • Best sci-fi picture ever. 2nd place Robocop. and a not so distant 3rd is Aliens.

  • Russia

  • The Michael Edward's John Connor is a major badass & the type of leader that you would die for & be happy that he'll give you a pat on the back for a job well done. The Nick Stahl's Future John Connor looks like you wouldnt take him seriously or care if he dies. And The Christian Bale's John Connor looks like he'll be a total dick and the type of guy that you would even do a Skynet a favour and terminate his ass, Cause the batman voice is really irritating.

  • It is Trust me from the Original Sound Track :D My favourite

  • What's the music that starts at 2:47 ?

  • does anyone know the name of that park that overlooks the skyline of L.A?

  • This is hands down one of the best intro sequences in film history. This 5 minutes put most entire films of modern times to shame.

  • i own all three movies i still say the second was better

  • Amusing how a few minutes of the future war in Terminator 2 is more entertaining than all of Salvation.

  • If you had a chance to morph into any of the terminators, which model would you be?

  • john connor has the same scars on him that he gets in terminator salvation

  • We need a Final terminator Directed by James Cameron himself with as close as team they can get that made this one and the original to conclude the epic series through everything they got at it. That could be very epic :)

  • best movie sequel ever?

  • Does anyone know were i can find the music to this scene?

  • the machines will create irape instead of ipods

  • This opening shows perfectly one of my biggest fears, and nightmares.

And end for humanity brought about by our own works. Our need to stay ahead of one another leading to our ultimate downfall.

    Extinction by our own hand.

  • I don't care how old it is. It's still the best movie intro ever! EVER!

  • one word: epic

  • One of my favorite science fiction films and the Best Made

  • Series should have ended at 2.Nuff said.

  • The Terminator Series is just such an incredible story. So unique and just...awesome. I know a lot of people didn't like the 3rd one or Salvation (well I didn't much like T3) but I still say it's all just amazing. And if it's not unique and someone else has made a similar story...well they just suck, it's epic

  • lol when they show the future in terminator 1-3 it is always so dark and dramatic and full of destruction and mist. and than look at terminator salvation -_-

  • the music is bad ass at 1:44 and on wats it called? or do you guys know were i can get it?

  • when you see this intro, you know this is gonna be goooood!! t2 the best!

  • RIP STAN

  • Those cyborg endoskeletons are scary as hell. Holy shit.

  • 16 people's lives ended on August 29th 1997

  • Best intro ever!

  • The story and setting of the Terminator movies are very much like The Matrix movies. I bet The Matrix was influenced by Terminator.

  • this is so epic.. the sound, the story, war: human vs machine, burning playgrounds, world in flames.. I dont think anything could ever beat this

  • @chris1980x I agree completely!

  • holy f*ck i really miss this movie, if i rememeber back in 98 this is one of the most anticipated movies

  • @boomstix accually the movie came out in July 3, 1991.....the teaser trailer to this movie is the greatest of all time

  • even in the year 2011 this still looks like a believable view of the future. amazing.

  • fuck halo this shit looks better!

  • You notice no red bands on the arms of the Resistance fighters in this movie? I know they introduced the concept in Terminator Salvation, but mythology-wise, the Resistance would've dropped the red band because John Connor came to rely on reprogrammed T-800s increasingly as the war dragged on, and Skynet had to make their units more and more human. The point I'm making is that both sides had to become increasingly like each other in their efforts to achieve final victory.

  • dam... just epic... epic fucken movie, epic intro.. everything.. even the dam music...

  • The burning playground is such a powerful image, it truly shows that none were spared, and how dire the situation was. Films nowadays wouldn't have the balls to put something like that in theirs.

  • All those people didn't put the cookies down, it seems. Now machines have their revenge on them.

  • humans are weak pathetic scum!!

    lol

  • @repulic5 then what are u a robot

  • T2>T1>T4>T3

    3 & 4 were just awful

  • I think a movie just about the future war is unnessary, because for one, the footage in the first two shows enough to tell the story, but not too much to become bored. a story could be told, but strangly it would have escape the prequel formula because we know everything that happened. too bad they blew it with T4

  • One of the best intros to a film I've ever seen!!

  • i think james cameron should remake t3 and t4

  • I'll be back!

  • EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC !!!!!

  • T4 was a lot better than T3 but T2 was the best, by far the best.. very emotional

  • hope skynet will one day be real and we humans will get f**** up by the machines

  • @cox87 Me to,,just imagine we people destroying us selfs.Machines would don't do that

  • 16 people prefer to die when Judgement Day comes instead of fighting against the machines

  • @beow85 arent the machines ex-humans?

  • @beow85 I lol, but in a real apocalypse like the Terminator series, wouldn't you? Even if humanity won the war and recovered, it wouldn't happen in your lifespan. Besides, 3 million deaths in one day is just horrifying. Glad it hasn't happened... well, in one day, but that's neither here nor there.

  • @thatkindofguy234 everything

  • Love T1 & T2 !!! T3 just wasn't as good as the other 2, never seen T4 so i don't know how i'd like that one!!!

  • @blackiesmommy I saw T4. It was crap, like something that was quickly slapped together and given the terminator title. T3 was alright. T2 was my favorite one and I think the real last terminator film.

  • Whats wrong with T4? I love that film

  • wish they made a movie of this(salvation didn't count)

  • LOL Thats is after 18 years, i must pack my thing!

  • I watch the brilliance of this film, and wonder where all that talent for creating great characters went when cameron shat out avatar.

  • 1:31 makes me jump every time

  • 5:14 - still terrifying.

  • me: when i grow up i want to be a terminator.

mom: no, son. you have to lead the resistance. its our only hope.

me: fuck that. i want an iron cock.

  • @mculrik1 LAME -.-''

  • 5:11 love this sequence with the terminator surrounded by fire. Incredible. The music is totally in sink with the moment.

  • Saw this movie first in about 1999, when I was 10 yrs old. Didn't understand the story but this theme stayed with me forever, absolutely epic. Avatar, POTC, LOTR and Harry Potter cannot hold a candle to T2, imo the best movie ever made.

  • @Noblesixzombie 3 billion died not 3 million. Thats most of America, Russia, NATO allied countries and former eastern bloc countries. Skynet only left the third world countries survive because they could not pose a threat to it's existence. The nuclear holocaust took place in 1997, and the war raged on until 2029. Even then, there could not be many of those 3 billion survivors left.

  • I wish I'd the chance to watch this in cinema.... damn you parents, why do I have to be born in 83 an not earlier? :)

  • @TeppichPilot Haha I was born in '85 and my parents took me to see this when I was 5. The nuclear war sequences pretty much traumatized me.

  • @hawrnball

In Germany the movie is not allowed under age of 16.... No chance my parents would've gotten me through the age control at the ticket counter ;)

  • im goin to get a petetion to get these damn ads off here or at least have a skip tab

  • Wouldnt the humans die of radiation?

  • @MrSayanthan sorry but you can't defeat movie logic

  • @MrSayanthan Fallout decays exponentially over time after several months. But I'm sure millions of people here who were not killed on J-Day died from radiation exposure, genetic mutations, or cancer down the road that can take years to happen.

  • This movie just grabs your attention with its frightening imagery... the battle among the decimated playground lined with human skulls... the nuclear firestorm ripping through the playground equipment, the swing set and an overturned tricycle on which children and their parents frolicked not moments before but had been vaporized in the blast. Yikes.

  • @hawrnball

It is images like this why James Cameron is a legend as a movie director. He had an amazing keen eye for making epic theatrical moments. I wish I knew where he got his inspiration to make such classic films.

  • The Playground makes it very dramatic!

  • Exo-skeletons scared the shit out of me.

  • The dude killing the T-800....WAS THAT KYLE REESE?!

  • Wow seriously Vertical AND Horizontal black bars?

  • Best movie ever, hands down!

  • Epic Intro!

  • Terminator 1 awesome

    Terminator 2 epic f#cking win

    Terminator 3 ass

    Salvation okay

  • The future sucks.

  • Like the song at 0:23 to 0:40. Reminds me of a song on the nintendo 64 game Aidyn chronicles which was an exceptional game.

  • what I notice is that the sounds of the plasma rifles differ the ones used by the machines sounds deeper maybe indicating a more powerful bolt?

  • T4 was significantly better than T3, but it still wasn't the real thing... and now Schwarzenegger is planning to do a T5, well I can only hope..... .... you know.

  • I wish Terminator: Salvation was more like this

  • 1:43 I would pay good money for a back massage with that! 0_o

  • dip shit rise of the machine was 2 tell john connor more bout wat he had 2 do in the war it wasnt 2 stop the machine terminator told him he cant stop it just learn 2 fight it an tell more people bout it an help lead them in the war duhhhhh if u really watch it

  • I love that the last two shots of the war show a soldier destroying an injured T-800 and a another soldier firing a rocket launcher in to an HK, effectively killing it. It shows that the humans are capable of standing their ground with Skynet and the machines. Killer movie!

  • @ryanseabass Sick movie isn't it. You know how you can tell it so good! Because you can watch over and over again and still like it. That's what you call a movie that has been produced properly. The set designs, models, special effects, music, acting, casting, everything is properly done. 10/10 movie easily. It's rare a production team does their job so well considering how many people it actually takes to make a movie! Not even the first Matrix was as good as this!

  • Amen man...One of the best movies ever. It's shame that I was born in 1990 and didn't get to see it on the big screen

  • @jonbz17 Same here. I missed the cinema release. Didn't hear about it until it got released on video. When I saw it I was soooo blown away!

  • @jonbz17 Same here man! Wtf's up with that? =(

  • @ryanseabass well u gotta think it took a human mind to build Skynet

  • I think all the movies have their merits, if only for telling a bit more of the story with each one. I'd rather have had them made than some stupid rom-com.

  • The effects in the Future War scene in T2 look more realistic than in T3. Even though I do like T3.

  • OMG! SKYNET IS ONLINE IN THIS MOMENT!

  • Christian Bale really looks like adult John Connor from T2 :D

  • @wleikko FAR from it.

  • really best Intro, the music makes everything!

  • @GerrardCarra87 I agree about the music, but the intro also makes the awesome footage that captures the feeling of the judgment day perfect... a children playground in flames... One the best intros ever, yes, pure art.

Also, the camera work in the whole movie is pure art, really can't think of other movie that is so well directed...

  • oh wasnt her name dogfood????

  • Best action movie of all time...I'v seen it over 100 times....

  • nice... The Terminator will never stop;-)

  • Yeah, 3 and 4 were only good in as much as one could see Arnold do anything. Personally I think the real T-1000 shoulda come back as arnold and he shoulda gone against a super terminator that was a t-1000 that could control other machines. Took me 30 seconds to figure out something better than the producers came up with in a year for T-3.

  • the rat and the snail house....

  • this is like Halo.

  • @malcolmmorin No, just no. T2 is good.

  • 28 robots later

  • wow the humans suck at aiming

  • 0:13

  • The best intro in the history of actions movies ever!!!

  • James Cameron at his best....

  • Man, that opening was really epic!

I would have loved to have seen James Cameron make the 3rd Terminator movie based on this apocalyptic future.

  • Best intro ever

  • OK, now you listen to me. That movie soundtrack, those cut beats sounding like pounding iron with hammer, are the most EPIC movie soundtrack EVER! I don't care what are you going to say about Vangelis, Clint Mansel, Lord Of the Rings or anything else. That music peace right here is the shit! When I hear it I want to put my sunglasses on and my leather jacket on walking like nothing can stop me, with no facial expressions and just go and punch a hole into the wall! Damn that's awesome! :)

  • @Raao1 That hammer on iron sound, along with that similar sound from Goldeneye (the "bohhh") are the most epic sounds ever. Hard to choose between them.

  • When the Terminator Step on the human Skull head the war come LOL.

  • And he failed and the Terminator became Evils.

  • What happen to the World

if somebody making a Teleportation to the Future

and somebody are making a Terminators.

  • Fuckin-A Brad Fiedel!

  • I love the film, always have, wished that Terminator 2 was the last, but If there had to be a 3rd and 4th, I wish that it was by James Cameron.

I'm just curious, at the start, you see the demolished bridge and next to it are ruins of buildings, why is that the cars on the road haven't moved at all/tipped over or destroyed :P

  • Weeeeee Pyro

  • @Junriel1 Then you have learned nothing from what Kyle Reese said about the future in the first Terminator movie... Everyone peed their pants 24/7 ...fear nothing but fear all day long. And did Kyle lost his emotions?? No.. its just a bad excuse to justify Bale's worthless acting.

Bale is a failure just like the movie.... Then again that movie and 3 are no-canon because we know the story ended in the end of Terminator 2. (special edition Sarah Connor reflecting on how Judgment Day was averted.)

  • This is the BEST intro to a movie EVER!

  • hey... that guy besides john conner at about 3:09...think he's a reprogrammed terminator?

  • this future war scene was better than both T3/T4 combined!!!

  • james cameron i hope you watched part 3 and especially 4 and hate your self for letting that garbage fallow T2 when you could have prevented it!!!!!

  • james cameron i hope you watched part 3 and especially 4 and hate your self for letting that garbage fallow T2!!!!!!!

  • terminator movies>avatar

  • Why doesn't Arnie appear on the credits?

  • @gangleri2007 he does :P

  • Fuck Titanic And Avatar come make more of these movies James Cameron LOL

  • Sarah Connor is a kick-ass heroin !!!!

  • Does anyone else get chills hearing that intro music playing while watching the remains of modern society burn?

  • You know for years and years and years while waiting for a Terminator flick to show the war I so wanted that guy there to be John Connor but instead we got that prick in T3 Nick Stahl and I think Chris Bale was quite good but for me Anthony Edwards the actor who is the adult John Connor here should have got the role

  • See now this is what people wanted to see in terminator salvation, not some stupid fallout 3 ripoff with a huge damn robot and a really fake looking cgi arnold schwarznegger. Although Sam Worthington and Christian Bale could have completely made another trilogy do-able but they had to make the dumbest mistake of making it completely unsalvagable by killing off the only character that made t4 remotely awesome.

  • @cHeEzMaN1 Christian Bale sucks hard, he has less emotion then a corpse.

  • Something I really hate with the sequels is that they killed Sarah Connor. She is one of the important characters in the whole saga and her role in these two films made her a legend. Killing Sarah Connor is like killing Ellen Ripley or John McClane or even Jack Sparrow. She was to important to be dead and those bastards who screwed James Camerons legacy didnt even give her a worthy death!

  • This movie is wihtout a doubt a socialist propoganda. which i like of course

  • Where is terminator 1 intro? It kicks even more ass! :)

  • they will never ever and i tell you never make movies like this again!

  • Greatest James Cameron movie ever.

    Ever.

  • Greatest intro in an action film.

  • I thought T3 was ok. Not sure why everyone is hating on it. It felt a lot like T2 to me. That's a good thing. I thought that the "hacking" sequence was overdone, though. Bottom line, T2 had a better ending and the intro was kickass. T4 didn't feel like a terminator series movie from what I could see in previews. I haven't seen it yet. But as I'm saying, it looks and feels too different. What happened? What I've seen doesn't remind me of the future war scenes in preceding movies.

  • @gukonni Three reason why people hate T3. 1, because the actor who played John Connor was terrible. 2, it was basically a cheap knock off of T2. And 3, because the ending ruined T2, the whole ending of T2 was to stop Judgment Day and then they say that it is inevitable, the Terminator gave its life to stop Judgment Day and then they say it was a waste. T3 doesn't exist to me, the series ended with T2, the rest don't exist.

  • @WeylandYutaniInc91

Amen my friend! To me, T3 and T4 are two totally different movies. There are only TWO terminator movies! (like you already said).
