  • Gotta miss the old blackpool <3

  • Loads better then than it is now

  • Its sprinkling how many of them rides are still there.

  • pleasure beach looks well different without the big one

  • What happens to the tunnel of love?

  • @thebadboybrothers nothing it is still there

  • @thebadboybrothers

The Tunnel Of Love is called The River Caves.

the sign is there because in 1994, ITV filmed an episode of Corronation Street in the Pleasure Beach and used River Caves as said ride.

  • -__- I so hate that laughing king. Which is now a joker.

  • the funhouse was great to, a big shame it got burnt down

  • Fab vid i was in BPB in the 90s as a young adult and loved everything LONG LIVE THE MONSTER a ride that should never have gone

  • the lauging man still freaks me out, but it wouldnt be the pleasure beach without him

  • Great vid. I still don't think those Rocket Ships (or Flying Machines I think it's called) are safe and one will go flying off!

And that laughing man creeped me right out as a kid!

  • Haven't been to Blackpool since 1994 or before.

    Too tacky and run down.

Last day trips have been to Skeggy.

    Why?

Because even though it don't have the rides as does Blacky, it is CLEAN now.

    Do remember the rides, though.

Come back log flume.....all is forgiven...

  • Your right, its a dump,Alton towers is so much better.

  • Wow! The "Octopus" was still there then! That's long gone!

  • This is how I remember Blackpool...when I was a child going to the pleasure beach in the 90's!

  • Same m8y, used to getr sutch a buzz when mum told me we were goin on sat. Now if someone tells me were going.. I'm like, can we go to Alton or Thorpe instead!

  • I went the other weekend when it opened for the new season. Took my younger brother and he loved it (Blackpool).

Alton Towers is brilliant but i've never been to thorpe park......bit of a treck from leeds

  • Yeh it is! I live in Manchester myself so no how you feel. I was at Blackpool on the second day of opening, went alton for its first opening day this season instead!

  • Did you go on the Sunday? That's when I was there. I used to live in Darwen (near Blackburn) so was a lot quicker to get to Blackpool than what it is now.

Would love to check thorpe park out, did you do the trip in one day or did you stay over? How's the new ride coming along at alton, is it still a secret?

  • they have had to pull back plans cos of complaints from the dam locals, (aparently it would caouse to mutch noise and traffic).

Yeh i was at Blackpool on the Sunday =P.

Last time i went to thorpe, it was thorpe blast (fireworks night). and we stayed in a hotel in Stains (about 5 - mins from thorpe). I supose if you wanted to, you could just go down for a day. It would be a hell of a long day though, its about 4- 5 hours buy car. Not sure about train though, I'm guessing its around the same.

  • @danfobia89 Since posting my last comment about a year ago I have been to Alton Towers and tried out the then named Secret Weapon Thirteen. A bit disappointing to be honest (maybe because of all the hype and marketing) but loved the drop feature.

Last week I went to Thorpe Park for the weekend, I stayed in Slough and made I full weekend of it. I've got to say it is a brilliant theme park and the rides are fantastic!

I've made a video of my trip to Thorpe Park if you fancy checking it out...
