Smoke does not mean power it means wasted fuel. Do some research before you start plugging shit into your truck. Black smoke might look cool but that just means there is so much more potential!

For a given amount of boost highest power will be achieved with smoke to make more use of excess air around outer edges of flame front, 2x fuel is not 2x power though so in that respect fuel is wasted.

Black is carbon.

ie HxCx + O2 results in H2O + CO2 or H2O + CO + C if less O2.

dood thats way too much smoke. you need to change some stuff up. You should get a rail pressure gauge. The programs have a lot of pulse width, which will drain the rail down quickly. If below 18,000 psi then u'd be better off running a lower tune or a mod'd cp3 to maintain 23,000 psi or better.

good pump runs about 30,000 psi peak and sustains 28,000 on a WOT run. cut's down on the smoke and makes better power. It's about getting the fuel in the cylindr at the right time.
