  • She helped fund a whole Brazilian village clean drinking water for them. This was way back in 2005 I believe. Read some interviews/articles about her from years ago b4 you assume things please.

  • privileged german white girl reveals her ignorance and

that she believes the Kenyan gov is to blame.

I'd laugh, if it wasn't so sad.

  • @dawoderpfeffer Gisele is Brazilian not German. There is something else I find sad is the fact Gisele never did go to any slums in Brazil. In many slums you can find a close reality to what happens in Kenya.

  • @akririumbutterfly Thanks. Her Name is VERY german though. And after some research, if she hasn't already, she could apply for german citizenship, because of her ancestry.

That she hasn't visited the slums in Brazil would be unbelievable!

In Kenya you can find real ugly situations in IDP Camps several millions strong.

Kibera is in midtown and bad, yes, but not real bad compared with so many other areas. Especially in Brazil.

  • @dawoderpfeffer I don't know anything about the German Legislation on citizenship but I don't think Gisele could get one because according to her she belongs to the Sixth generation of Bundchen in Brazil and the surname of her mother is Nonnenmacher looks like she is very far away from the first Nonnenmacher in Brazil. Gisele would never want to be German because she is Brazilian and that is enough. Germans are the only ones who would be happy, perhaps you're one?

  • @dawoderpfeffer I don't think I made a fair assumption about the similarities of slums in Brazil and Kenya, they do have similarities no doubs about that but looks like in Kenya the circumstances are much worse.

Perhaps one day Gisele will visit slums in Brazil. She did went to an Indian reservation with very poor conditions of life years ago in Brazil and that visit changed her not much but thanks to it she started her first steps as "charitable" public person.

  • The best!

  • Thanks Gisele and thanks Practical Action.

  • It's awesome to see celebrities using their money and power for good. good for her.

  • Go Gisele !
