The R5 is nothing special. It is the low-spec 5 cyl inline diesel with 174hp. The same engine is also available in the Transporter.

for the record, im not saying the toureg sucks, or that VW sucks. i have an explorer, which is a great suv. this vid did nothing to make me want to buy something else. thats all im saying. i would say i would buy another explorer, but.......ford just came out with the F-150 Raptor, and i think i need it. might have to skip a generation of the explorer. i guess i'll just keep the one i have and add the raptor to my arsenal. my driveway is going to be lookin sweeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttt
