megan racing are way to drone'y.... if you want a good exhaust for a protege get CorkSport. Seriously the best exhaust hands down

@mejiseike lol you do realize the corksport is louder right...but I do agree, the corksport is possibly the best exhaust for the protege, if they made the 80mm for the P5 then I would have it already lol

and @englishhomework1 it depends, I love my car, put alot of money and time into it (obviously this is an old video) proteges are awesome cars, but they do need more maintenance then most cars

@simonnoitalay I have 200,000 miles on my PR5 and only thing other than normal maintenance I have done is an alternator (just recently) and an oil pump at 80,000 miles. Other than that, nothing. I'm in CA so I think that has a lot to do with it. I have a K&N cold air filter, Magnflow exhaust & computer reprogrammed. Much quicker with still the same "zoom, zoom" feel!!

@yipper47 my 626 just died (auto trans did) and it had 255K miles. i got it for 4K and didn't do too much the last 4 years. that thing was solid and pretty fast for a stock V6.

this car got great ratings and is supposed to be very reliable. so i agree with your assessment.

of course if i didn't have a student loan killing me i'd get a newer car but if i can get something for 4K and have it last then why not?

Where did you get this exhaust? Sounds far better than all the farty exhausts on YouTube...I have P5 too by the way, just hard to find anything that doesn't sound like ass!

def turbo that shit i got the same whip in yellow. its a good car but at around 90k i had to replace my sensors its like a g so make sure ya got enough for that most proteges have this problem

unless the exhaust comes from the factory with aftermarket similarities no car should be left alone beefed up without an exhaust upgrade, you'll clog the asshole up if you force more shit through the intestine

they have alot of exhausts there and u could try horsepower freaks dot com too, if ur lookin for a really insane sounding one go for the corksport power series there the best ones make sure to get it from the horsepower freaks website, they sell it cheaper then corskport does lol oh if u want to hear it type "corksport mazda protege dx" into the search bar^^ and ull see a vid of my brothers car,its nice
