  • @Phillyguy....Totally WITH you...the best BAND of all time!!! And then I had the good fortune of meeting Bono exactly a week later in NYC. Awesome!! They are definitely the soundtrack that lives in my head at all times!

  • Phillyguy. I couldn't agree more.

  • Modern day Beatles !!!! They are one of the greatest bands ever ! Saw them for the 11th time in philly on thursday night , Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree with the positive comments ,u2 is still one of the verry best

And they sound awsome and the lyrics are also great allways.

They do release a dvd after every tour check it out ,so no live cd but a dvd is pretty cool

  • Vinnie Colaiuta is the real professor !

  • I agree that Peart is The Professor but I don't think we should compare drummers as they all have a different job in the music they play...I mean it's like comparing Michael Anthony from Van Halen to Jaco' Pastorius ...There is NO need !

p.s Vinnie Colaiuta is God ....BAHAHA HA HA HA !

  • Someone decided Neil Peart was the best drummer of all time so everyone just went along with that idea to sound "educated."

    PS RUSH RULES!

  • U2 are legends and Bono are amongst the best frontman of all time.

  • They should do live albums after every release. They are so much better live. Amazing.

  • this song gave me chills

  • There ARE still rock stars in this world. These guys are amazing

  • Sorry there is no greatest drummer ever,

A guy driving a garbage truck could be

the best drummer ever!!!! Larry is a great

solid drummer for sure, and gets the

    job done.

  • Bono - vocals... Duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Louder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 22 grammy's & 145 million albums.

  • So sad you can't feel it. Let yourself in the sound.

  • The greatest rock drummer of all time...Larry Mullen Jr.

  • U2 is a great band, but Larry Mullen Jr. as the greatest rock drummer of all time is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

  • I understand you might be dumb, but c'mon pal even mentally retarded people can read english...albeit a bit slower.

Let me retype this is bigger words so you can understand......

LARRY MULLEN JR IS THE GREATEST ROCK DRUMMER OF ALL TIME.

  • I agree completely. I'd love to be the drummer in U2! What a fun job!!!!!

  • Maybe so, but he adheres to the rhythm and time, which are the two most important aspects of playing drums in a rock band or any other band for that matter.

  • I think so too man!

  • U2 is a religion!!!!

  • great performance. how often do you hear a band get on a late night show and sound horrible (think Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters, even KOL a little), the singer sounds nothing like the album etc... these guys sound great and gave a great performance in a small difficult venue.

  • fuck you man!

  • I concur. Fuck you, man!

  • kendoll: super-great absolutely super-great song, has nuances in writing. he Has to make a thing of making his presence known, that's his job. they do want to get noticed, how else can they get people to listen to their songs?. bono is one of the most powerful men in history and most recognised celebrity.

  • Saying that, you cannot just apply that to Bono, but every other band out there. Everything is borrowed now. Ridiculous comment. He's the front man in the biggest band in the world and much of that role includes connection with his audience. Maybe it's not what you like, but it's what the band needs. It's easy to knock a band who've been on top for 30 years.

  • is that a joke? if not then youre fuckjng stupid you prick

  • They have never in their whole career used lip sync they once did it for the guitar but thats it

  • fuck in deadly lyrics¡¡¡¡

  • fuckin badass song

  • I plan to get the album but Get Your Boots On did not impress me. It sounded like a mishmash of U2 sounds from every era of the band. But you know it took time for some of their other albums to grow on me too... "Atomic Bomb" never worked for me so I have high hopes for this one.

  • I liked this song on the first listen. It builds nicely.

  • my fav from the live performances in the last week from the bbc rooftop and ross show to the letterman show in new york....breathe is everythin ive loved about u2 from being 14 and im now 38 and its great to see them back on top notch form..great album, great band!!!

  • ...Seriously...from a ZZ Top fan?? Away ye go.

  • Haha, I second that.

  • gorgeous

  • Great performance! I saw this live and had not heard record yet. It rocked! I finally bought record tuesday and it is one of their best!!!! I love U2!!!! ROck on!!

  • From Boy to No Line On The Horizon.....Amazing

  • Amazing!

  • Shit Hot, So much to get your teeth into. This is real music made by real men! not adolescent whining! Album will be appreciated more as time goes on. There is nothing to touch these guys, (never was)

  • I totally disagree. This album has amazing songs, sounds, and lyrics.

  • imgastro, you gotta be kidding, this is a quality song by any rock/pop standard, at least, and possibly 'the best' on the current album.

  • If this is the best song on the album, then I am way disappointed. I do not like "get your boots on" at all...that's my opinion. We'll have to agree to disagree on this song though.

  • No way, there are a couple weird song, but magnificent , is well, just that.

  • Loving' that they are on Letterman this week. Great album and I can't wait to see them live. Great musicians, great showmen and GREAT human beings.I love them.

  • 5pm isn't bad to sing but it's still early. AND Bono is sitting 'cold' for 45 minutes. That's very hard on a singer. He sounds fantastic, as always. U2 forever.

  • amazing performance

  • For the person who said Bono's singing 'flat': no he's not. He's singing like anyone would when it's early in the day. Try singing mid-range early in the day, full out and see how it feels. Not so good. They rock and he has one of the best voices in the business. He's almost 50 and he still top his top register. They rock! Love them, always will.

  • Thank god for Morrissey!

  • bitchin

  • pretty cool -

  • Bono is still wearing those awful franken shoes!!!

  • Yeah that's his height enhancers.

  • @chowie1974 He should wear MBTs....

  • Funny how some of the older guests stand there watching their neighbours and look like thinking "WTF??????"

  • Still got it,always had it.

    dig U2.

  • Only Dave Letterman can get away with saying, "Nice job shoveling" to Larry.

  • U2 and Artie Lange....

    Does life get any better?

  • Geeks into shazzle, U2 is a Nixon-Carter-Reagan surveillance vid gig. Sexy boots? SOX THE CAT GOT PUT TO SLEEP, A-heads. THE WHOLE EAST COAST IS A RIPOFF PUNK SCENE, DRINKING THE BLOOD OF THE WORLD, TO MAKE A Pimple, pimple-economy, around New York, NY and Washington, D.C. Whoopi even stole, yo. Obama is Dick-7.5v trying to get EVEN LUCKIER, but he's a blackhead, trying to improve a ZIT. 360.yahoo/

  • do you enjoy rambeling on and on about nothing on youtube? your life is amazing

  • i love U2, but Bono sounds flat on it.

  • Dear Lord. Such lofty expectations of singers from their public. Yes, he was flat a couple of times, but he isn't a god (some might disagree) - he can't sing flawlessly ALL the time. He sounds amazing here and has done every night on Letterman this week. This fucking society. Driven by perfection. I'd rather experience the human element of a performance and that includes minor, minor flaws such as the one you pointed out.

  • Stunning.... I can't wait for tonight.

  • Hi, I'm Mr. Ihateu2. I hate everything really, especially people that make money. Nevermind that I sit on a computer made and sold to me by corporations, I actually live in a hut and ride a horse drawn carriage. That's how much I care for the third world.

  • Awesome song!!

It just kills me how the haters take time to post. If you're not feelin it don't bother yourself with it. Or could it be>>>there's something they have that you need???

  • My thoughts exactly. Well put.

  • ... in reply to what u2joy2004 wrote

  • im agree with everything u said, but the magic of U2 is that is still about music, that is their point..... and sincerely this is a great album

  • Exelent performance! I love those guys so fucking much!

  • I can't remember the last time a musical act got a TV audience to get up on their feet. That's the true power of these guys...they have the conviction and the charisma to break through the noise of our culture and make us sit up and listen.

  • Snowbound streets of New York!!!!

  • Yeah, U2 should stop making money this minute. Tell you what, go to work and tell them to keep your paycheck. That Edge is a real bastard, huh Eddie?

  • what you mean they like to make money oh my godddddddd .and they suck do they .its a good job eddie you came on here to warn us. lol

  • "that was the s***!!!" thanks for posting..gives new faith that REAL rock-n-roll is not dead!!!

  • church on a Monday night! I love it!! These guys know how to bring it!
