Glenn Beck has made numerous accusation against ACORN that were unfounded. Specificly, he used video taken by a Conservative and used it as evidence that ACORN was enabling the establishment of a brothel. The tape Beck used was heavily edited. Later when the cut scenes came to light, it was discovered that the ACORN workers were telling the woman posing as a prostitute not to give up looking for assistance in finding a home. Beck has never made a correction and stands by his claims

I hereby challenge any hard standing liberal to a dual: I would like to address these specific "Glenn Beck" lies. I'm very curious myself as to whether there is any justification for calling this man "racist, hatemonger and liar". If he has indeed lied about anything related to the theme of his shows (we want big lies here, not petty BS). It works like this, you pick out a theme, provide proof it is a lie, and I will do what I can to disprove (or concede) your accusation. This could be fun..

I'll take your challenge although I consider myself to be a progressive and not a liberal. Before you suggest that's splitting hares, allow me to demonstrate the difference. I believe in most of the Democratic philosophies in regard to economic issues. Likewise I am opposed to the Conservative economic policies "trickle-down" and all that.
Where I differ from Liberals is on some (not all) social issues. For example, I believe that "Affirmative Action" is a form of racism. Continued

Congressman Weiner cares about the well-being of American citizens. Yes he probably doesn't like Glenn Beck. Why should he? Beck's a fear mongering, self rightous, nationalist who deliberately misleads Americans on a daily basis. So yes, Weiner saw a chance to strike a blow for the American people and took it. I on the other hand hate both Beck and his viewer so I urge you most ardently to buy Goldline's products. And yes you will get screwed and I will laugh at your stupid ass.

Strike a blow for the American people? Beck is a loon. I'll give you that. But is he really THAT dangerous that he has to be directly targeted for silencing? One has to wonder, if congressmen want to shut him down that bad, he must be worth listening to. The issue here isn't Goldline, it's the government trying to finish the job Van Jones and his little group started- They want to choke FOX's ad revenue. If you think that is in anyway OK for gvmt. I am just curious though, how specifically does Beck mislead his audience? Most of his ramblings while littered with theatrics and stage-play, are steeped in fact. A study was done in one of our local Universities, initiated by the Pol-Sci department. It turned out that Beck was not only NOT lying much of the time, but that Olberman on an average had more facts wrong than Beck. So again, what SPECIFICALLY are you upset about Beck saying?
