A lot of salespeople love to push these 100Hz and 200Hz TVs (in PAL countries of course, where I'm from), but I personally don't like to artificially increase the frame rate. It changes the overall feel of the production. My TV is 100Hz but I leave that function switched off. Beyond 50Hz, video based material looks no different to seeing it with your own eyes in front of you, so what's the point? And I like film to look like film, not video.
There is no point for having a tv that has a refresh speed more than 60Hz. No cable provider or blu-ray movie runs more than 40 frames a second. The only exception to this rule is for people who hook their high end computers up to them, then you need a higher refresh rate. And thats BS what they said about response times. Im a PC gamer and i can tell a big difference between 2ms and 5ms. Ghosting is real and you dont have to live with it.
no game is even playable above 150fps. Ill say this, no average consumer needs a tv more than 60Hz. My computer monitors are 120Hz and i have 3 of them. They play my PC games perfectly. If your just watching tv, its just a waste of money
from making youtube videos I learned one of two things....One: People are really simple and can't wrap their mind around things...or TWO: they are trolls who say the same things over and over to get a rise out of people...I will safely say the majority of people more then likely fit into the latter...
It takes a little while before youtube processes the HD version of the video... if you check back in an hour you should see the HD version of this video :-)
As always thanks for providing great content. It's amazing the misconceptions that still plague plasma TVs. We get that question all the time.

@mapnxyaha2k10 Yes, just get a console that can run the game at over 200 fps, and you should be good.

youtube videos come out in standard form until they finish rendering the hd stream. So, waiting a bit usually solves the problem.

Youtube has to process HD videos after they are uploaded, this takes awhile. until then you get this pixelated mess.

uuuh....whats up with the video quality? Shouldn't a show named "HD Nation" be in HD?
Guess not...

It is, once YouTube has enough time to process the video into each different quality before trolls like you comment about it.
