  • Imanari is awesome

  • すごい( ゚д゚)

  • The loser still act like he is cool, lol.

  • lol at commentator "first of all imanari is a southpaw".....nope, first of all he's a hell of a grappler and the master of leg locks.

  • @mrkiky do you know what southpaw is? the commentator was just acknowledging the fact that his stance is right foot first, aka, left handed. southpaw is a stance, grappling and leg locks is a martial art. its like comparing apples to oranges.

  • @jmbbala Yes I know what it means. I was just criticizing the "first of all" part. The commentator had no idea about Imanari since he actually thought those flying kicks are supposed to hit something. I wasn't comparing "southpaw" to martial arts....just saying that there should be something else following "first of all".

  • @mrkiky oh, sorry, i misunderstood your comment

  • @mrkiky I agree, The commentator seemed to call as he saw...And not acknowledge who Imanari really is...The master of leglocks.

  • The commentator basically went ARRAARRAARRRAARRRHHH by the end due to shock

  • when he did the arm bar did the announcers sound like beaker from the mupit baby's?

  • Omg... i cannot believe my eyes seriously i just found out who this Imanari guy is and HE IS FUCKING CRAZYY ! I LOVE HIM!

  • flying axe kick up kick mutation hybrid to arm bar..wow..

  • LOL when "steve" the commentator was about to criticize Imanari

  • Comment removed

  • That guy is a genius! He faked and ax kick which actually landed just to get his leg up by the guys head!! the whole jumping up in the air and crazy flamboyance made an arm bar even further from the guys mind I bet!

  • @Mattjudo26 watch iminari's instructional DVD man, he's has lot of crazy techniques that are actually extremely useful.

  • Rofl at commentarist screams haha sick transitioning by Imanari

  • すっげ

  • He is Genius Japanese!!!

  • wow these commentators just sound retarded

  • are you american? becuase alot of americans cant understand british people. and dont say its becuase we talk wrong becuase its our language :P

  • its not how they talk its how they scream FLYING ARMBAR!!!!!!! when its just a normal transition from a triangle to an armbar

  • and there was nothing UNBELIEVABLE!!!! about that victory

  • @ufc910 WOW what a hater you are dude. u know anyone else who wins in 27 seconds like that? so what they were screaming flying armbar. they just mistaked it cause he was in the air. get over it...and yourself o.o

  • Wow your fucking annoying. I hope you contract syphilis and die slowly. You do realize big fighters can be technical too right?..I guess with your apparent IQ probably not. Look at Frank Mir fo instance. Theres plenty of huge judokas that win fights without ever striking. And you should work on not being racists as well.

  • Insecure?

  • BJJ works well with MMA because of the fact that it is a finishing technique and people fight in the same weight class. Judo is a starting technique in a fight.

  • ...continued...

In other words Judos main focus is to master the arts of taking someone no matter the size to the ground and maintaining control.

BJJ main focus is to master the arts of grappling and having control on the ground.

Knowing the two styles would be almost unstoppable as they work hand-in-hand.

Comparing the two would never work out as one style may be needed more than the other depending on the circumstance.

  • All of you arguing about Judo and BJJ need too learn your stuff. Judo and BJJ you can say are one in the same but focus on entirely different stuff and both styles have different strategies as their focus.

Complicated, highly trained methods of taking someone to the ground has rather limited value to BJJ's strategy.

Complex highly trained positional grappling is of limited value to the Judoka's strategy.

  • beatiful armbar

  • you forgot about misaki beated dan henderson, yoshida beated tank abbott and fujita beated bob sapp etc etc

  • Exactly my point. Try reading below where i stated: "its the individual and art, not the race that counts"

Diaz had a prescription for medicinal use of marijuana. He was not banned for taking the drug, he was banned for not declaring the prescription. If he had, everything would have been legal. Also, marijuana slows down reactions an hinders the fighter, not helps him.

In any case, American Penn beat Gomi, lol! Abbott and Sapp?lol my sister could beat them.

  • thats not fair, comparing a country has immigrants from all over the world and a country has one ethnicity.

  • If you pause it right at the beginning of (:24 seconds) you can see how Imanari could have pulled this down.. You can also see how he makes no effort to remove it.. He just rest it on the shoulder of Robbie.

  • Also wanted to point out in this clip that Imanari (pulled) an Axe Kick to the back of the head, before the arm bar..

So I see that he defeated Robbie twice in one fight..

You can see how Robbie leaned forward right under the Axe Kick of Imanari.. Imanari could have easily pulled this down to the back of Robbie's head.. Not sure if it would have been a legal kick.. Might have killed him.. At any rate Imanari pulled the Axe Kick, and showed Robbie mercy before submitting him.. Watch again

  • If you don't believe me, research it.. How a tiny Country like Japan dominated and murdered millions of Chinese..

These Japanese are no joke.. What I have stated sounds like BS, but no one will ever speak more truth in this video section, than what I have stated..

  • Is that why the Japanese fighters tend to lose to a lot of Americans? Are they re incarnated from the soldiers who surrendered at the end of WW2?

  • yeah?? like gomi beated pulver and like sakuraba beated rampage?

  • No, like Diaz beat Gomi, Oishi and Inoue, and Matt Hughes destroyed Sakurai.Ive got a list as long as my arm and they're not doing too well in the UFC these days...lol actuallyI love Japanese fighters as they are flamboyant an exciting, I was merely trying to point out the idiocy of the dude who was making out that Japanese were untouchable wariors reincarnated to know neither defeat nor pain and are superior to other races. They arent, as its the individual and art, not the race that counts.

  • diaz had drugs in his system when beated gomi. so the question always remains if he could have done it without drugs

  • You've never smoked weed, huh.

  • You think marijuana helped Diaz beat Gomi? LOL.

  • lol look at the size different and look how gomi dropped diaz and gave him a busted eye. lol.. how did diaz win again? submission. lol.. as big as he is cant even knock the lil japanese guy out.

  • Diaz is known as being a weak puncher, who stops guys with TKO's,(9 of them) not KO's. (only 2) He busted up Gomi, took his legs and heart, then subbed him. Ask yourself this...who's highlight reel is that fight going on? I don't think Gomi put it on his. "Hey guys remember that time I got Gogo'd by a guy who had just smoked some weed?" lol

  • LOL Diaz is so light, they had to create a 160lb division for him. Gomi is 154. 6lbs? Woah what an advantage lol!

If you didnt see the fight, youd think Diaz lost? lol if you did see the fight, youd think Gomi lost! He was out on his feet, swinging wildly for the last 5 minutes. Diaz cuts when you breath on him. He had to have his skull shaved down to stop him bleeding.

Diaz put it best when he said 'I boxed him up, then slapped on a Gogo!' YOU are missing the point. he tapped=SURRENDERED

  • yea after he gave diaz a busted eye. LOL!! im not talking about the weight different im talking about the height! LOL!

  • lol Diaz got his eye busted, then smashed Gomi sensless and tapped him out...and you see that as a victory for Gomi? ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha LOL LOL LOL fuuunniest thing ive ever heard! lol! You are the most stupid person on youtube, and that's saying something! hahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • how did he smash gomi senseless? lol.. why are u getting so offensive that a smaller guy put an ass beating on a bigger guy? yes diaz won that fight, i never said he lost. im saying he got his ass handed to him before he made gomi tapped. yes thats a victory if i was gomi.. im the smaller guy and put a good beating on a much bigger guy than me and all he did to me was make me tapped.

  • @norcalonerz you my friend, know shit about fighting. Why don't you try training b4 posting such asinine comments.

  • Imanari is the kind of fighter which the Emperor of Japan would keep standing Guard inside the Castle, right in front of his bedroom door..

So if the Kingdom were invaded while he were sleep, and they somehow made it to the Emperors Palace, Imanari would be the last line of defense..

    This is a badass!

I believe the Japanese are using the Ancient Art of Re-Incarnation. Imanari is a re-incarnation of one of the soldiers that invaded China and slaughtered thousands of Shaolin Monks!

  • Love Imanari.

I'm pretty sure Quadros creamed his pants at the end there.

  • That guy is...I don't know what he is...xD

  • Jesus I thought that only happened in Kung fu theater!! this asian ninja is the real deal! He was so confident to try to pull off such a wild risky move!

  • fabulous.

Mr. Imanari is my very favorite fighter.

I am proud of being his fan.

  • this guy has some impressive submissions.

  • CRAZY ASIAN NINJA FLYING ARMBAR!!!!

  • The guy is good point blank.

  • That octagon is huge! Is it an octagon? Don't remember much from geometry.

  • the announcer called it a flying armbar... it really wasn't

  • it was a flying armbar

  • i guess...but if you compare it to sato's...they're different. Imanari's happened because he went for a kick and got stuck on Olivier's back and got taken down, so he really transitioned into it.

  • just like how you can transition into a flying triangle into an armbar...

  • MASAKAZU!

  • Haha, he's 10-dan in leglocks, and 2-dan in armlocks!

  • Sorry, I have nothing technical to add. Just wanted to know if anyone else thinks Robbie Olivier is hot!

  • if ya look up moonjets on here you'll see robbie's brother james as their drummer

  • look robbie is a great fighter and fireman and had all of crc public services behind him now and forever

  • That video is the definition of ownage

  • rankings in bjj really mean shit...Not that i am taking away any accomplishments from anyone with a black belt, but its just a rank.... Someone who has done bjj for years with no belt system can role with a black belt

  • true

  • Yes and no.

If they had been grappling as long and as often and had the same amount of talent, no gi, yes, you're right.

Gi, probably not - it's a completely different game.

As for ranking in BJJ meaning shit...uh, no. Almost every purple belt I've rolled with has been a grappling-beast. Once you get past blue belt, we're getting to the time they've put it, not necessarily grappling talent. But a legit. black will destroy you, every time. Unless you're Randy Couture or Faber.

  • highly disagree. i never see any grappler who wins abudhabi without a ranking in bjj or judo.

  • the gracies didnt do shit. all the same techniques were in judo. triangles, armbars, platas.. everything. just go look up some of the old judo videos on here. shit the gracies dumb asses had to 'reinvent' the triangle in the 70s because apparently kano never taught it to them back in the day. sorry bro, all the gracies shit was just judo ne waza from the 20s.

  • Where are all the judo fighters than smart ass??? Mediocre people are just like you, nobody ever knew about all that shit you are saying about judo cos that`s bull crap, why they never used that then...You should shut your fucking mouth before talk about gracies, they made MMA famous with their technique, BJJ is the best marcial art ever thanks to them and it was proven so many times, but there's always an ignorant like you to post crap...Imanari would tap me...what a loser!!!!

  • youre an idiot, bjj is not the best martial art and its never been proven, just cuz it works against karate and kung fu doesnt mean there the best. and bjj only works against people who dont know how to grapple

  • Shut your fucking mouth you stupid...the only proven thing is your lack of brain cells. Such imbecil comment i could only expect from an ass with nick "judoka". you judo guys are jealous cos BJJ took over and IT IS the most complete martial art. You idiot ANY martial art works against people who don't know it.You know what...Get back to your Xbox. What about Royce Graice in the early UFC you asshole and Nogueira?? Get Lost, count up to ten in japonese and shoot yourself.

  • alright first of all youre a total idiot. bjj is not a complete martial art, all it is is a style of fighting off your back, and theres no striking and its only submissions. so how complete is that? judo is actually a complete art cuz theres more than just submissions, theres also takedowns, pins, and strikes. bjj has NONE of those. and hey genius both royce gracie and nogueira that you named are JUDO BLACK BELTS!!! youre the fucking idiot, do some research before you talk shit pussy

  • oh i almost forgot, lets go ahead and talk about UFC since you brought that up, every single title holder has a JUDO BACKGROUND. bj penn is a judo black belt and trains with the camarillos, GSP is currently doing Gaidojutsu (greg jacksons mix of wrestling and JUDO!), anderson silva has a S/C coach who is a judo black belt, and he got his bjj black belt from nogueira who you apparently know so much about, guess what hes also a judo black belt, rashad evans also trains in Gaidojutsu. so your dumb

  • oh im not done yet, "judo guys are jealous of bjj" uhm you know bjj is a form of judo right? all it is is a style made of up only the submissions of judo. so you apparently dont know anything about either bjj or judo. and how can bjj be more complete than judo, bjj is only 1/3 of what judo is, literally. another 1/3 is wrestling, and another is karate strikes and jjj. bjj is only the submission part, which every single judoka knows. bjj is very incomplete compared to judo and lacks A LOT

  • and the early UFC's royce gracie only won 3, big fucking deal. and since you know everything and i dont, you should know royce is a 6th dan in judo. that means hes a higher rank in judo than he is in bjj. HAHAHA i cant believe how dumb you are. oh and you brought up nogueira, hes a black belt in judo and bjj and hes been doing judo long than he has bjj. LOL and if you used youre head, you would know the ONLY successful bjjers that fight in MMA in general ALL mix it with judo, every single one

  • I think YOU should do a better research before writing this load of crap. jiu jitsu IS the oldest martial art in the world created by the monks in India years and years ago you stupid, and Judo came through Jiu Jitsu, judo is only 1/4 of Jiu Jitsu. If you had brain cells you would notice that a Jiu Jitsu fights starts standing, without the take down you can only use afew techniques. Judo is a small fraction of Jiu Jtsu. All the fighters you named are known by their Jiu Jisu and not Judo.

  • oh i should be doing research? alright genius you fucked up again. you spelled "jiu jitsu" which is bjj, youre thinking of JuJitsu, which is what judo came from, and bjj came from judo. so bjj cant possibly be the oldest martial art, dumbfuck. and neither is Jujitsu, if thats what you meant. the first established martial art is Pankration. and Jujitsu actually came from japan, yes monks in india used it but the japanese invented that art, then came judo, then bjj or "jiu jitsu". RESEARCH DUMBASS

  • yea bjj fights start standing, how come they dont do anything standing then? oh yea cuz they dont do standup, its a little hard for a guy who knows only ground fighting to start standing. and you said judo is a small fraction of bjj, ok genius ill explain this again. judo has standup, strikes, and ground. bjj ONLY HAS GROUND. bjj is a VERY incomplete style. and out of "all" those fighters i named, bj penn is the only one known as a bjj fighter, nogueria is known as a judo and bjj black belt

  • holy shit are you blind...

EVERY FIGHTER IN THE WORLD TRAINS BJJ FOR SUBMISSIONS...

Frank Mir, Anderson Silva, GSP, BJ Penn, Minotauro, Minotouro, Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio Shogun, the list goes ON - are all BJJ BlackBelts...

Blackbelts status in BJJ is something every MMA fighter tries to have, its the ultimate ground-credential proof.

Before everyone started learning BJJ just looked at wht happened to other fighters in the early UFC fighting Royce. A Judo guy tapped in seconds!

  • EVERY FIGHTER IN THE WORLD TRAINS BJJ FOR SUBMISSIONS

Fedor trains Combat sambo for subs.

  • and fedor is the best!

  • And just so I don't get into crazy talk with someone who clearly wants to see things in a distorted way,... Just do the following test mate: Try to get someone with a pure Judo background to fight a pure BJJ fighter in pure grappling (gi or no gi) or even MMA... He'll get his ass submitted.

Hell watch some videos in youtube for crying out loud...

And fuck your falacious talks about Judo having strikes... Who are you fooling dip shit!?

  • bjj has revolutionized the world of professional mma and fighting for ever most martial arts couldnt compare to bjj because its based on striking any grappling martial art could destroy one thats into striking, simply if you close the distance how the hell are they going to defend if they are on there back? and when you said it only works on people who dont know how to grapple thats a ironic statement that would mean no shit bjj would destroy anyone in a martial art of only striking dumbass ;p

  • so when judo was doing this ground fighting they pratice it with no gi?

  • lol, seriously, go look at old judo videos, its all the exact same stuff. kano just taught the gracies what was popular in judo at the time (ne waza) and they ran with it. judo changed to a more sporting style emphasizing throws over the next 60 years. Bjj stayed mostly ground oriented just like the judo that was brought over.

When either of you fags get your brown belt then come talk to me, till then ill tap you on the mat or the internet.

  • wow calm down bro i was just asking a question not making fun of judo.

  • dude imanaris ground game is awesome. i doubt a white belt would escape any of his shit, especially his leglocks. his standup sucks as weve seen in bushido fights but he always at least comes close to submissions.

  • Well, hardly anyone could have escaped once he had the armbar locked in like a vice.

I think the point is that a better fighter would have escaped before it got to that.

  • lol wipe Gracie's cum from your mouth

  • No.

And for the record, Imanari is a BJJ brown belt.

  • You... don't really have any clue who Imanari is do you?

  • What're you talking about??????????

  • @crawleymang I just started to watch Imanari fights, he is very awesome

  • @crawleymang u mad?

  • well I've seen brownbelts grapple much harder then some blackbelts it's nothing special..

Some really arent in to compititions but I assure you they know as much of rolling then any other blackbelt. And if you would have rolled with blackbelts and brownbelts you know the difference isnt that big.. it's just matter of experience.

like Yojimbo1717 said after the bluebelt everyone comes comes dangerous because the amount of rolling. If blackbelt doesnt look out he can easily lose to brownbelt.

  • If i would have rolled with black belts??? Dude, i`m saing what i`m saying cos i am brazilian and i just happend to be black belt before you even know about BJJ. I've been training with real black belts/ brown and even some really tough purple belts, some of them world champions...I agree that belt not always mean victory over the grade below. But what pisses me off is how they give belts away nowadays for so-called MMA fighters..thats it!!!!!

    PEACE

  • Well I agree and yes that is unfortunate.. They shouldnt give any belts to anyone who actually doesnt train in the art.

most of the mma fighters are not that good in submissions and sweeps. they just wrestle and hold positions but the same could be said from bjj fighters doing mma

  • imanari would tap your ass son.

  • and fuck yours!!! how about that!!!
