Many people think Malcolm X controversial statement is what made him break away from the NOI but Elijah used this controversy to punish Malcolm because he found out that Malcolm was investigating the charges made by several of Elijah's secretary that he had children with them out of wedlock. When Malcolm confronted him about this Elijah tried to rationalize what he done and Malcolm lost respect for him.

To solve a problem you must first identify what the problem is, by broadcasting the problem to African Americans it woke us up. When a group of people are angry about an issue, change happens quicker. How did he "not" do much to heal the black wounds? The 1960s was a decade in which the most civil rights were given to African Americans due to ppl like Mr.X and MLK...facts.

Without Malcolm X making people aware that they can do better, their limit isn't just as a slave to a White man, he allowed people like Martin Luther King to capitalize on this, push and ultimately achieve basic rights and equality for Black people. Slaves werent brainwashed into believeing their master was the ideal human being. When Africans sole their brothers and sisters into slavery,they thought the slavery that they were familiar with would have been the type of slavery given to Africans....
