DeSmuME Emulator how to use internal cheat search

Hi, I'm fairly new to emulators and I was just wondering how get Action Replay codes to work? I have a code listed and activated but it's not working? Sorry if I'm not being clear. It's a money cheat for this game. If you could help me out it's be great!

@MyLifeIsAverageBitch What version of the game are you using, UK US JAP the codes are region specific. Also does the code require a button activation like hold select and start or hold L and x.

Thanks! But I have a question. Can you manipulate stuff like your stamina, too? Can you split it up to use it as internal code, like you did with the time freezing?

@raineWoS Yes you can split almost any code. eg

Action replay code for Harvest moon Grand Bazzar

Infinite Stamina

5201FD98 E0433004 <- Not used AR only

0201FD98 E1A00000 <- use 01fd98 and add a value of 100 dec or 64 in hex.1 byte 0-255 unsigned.

D2000000 00000000 < not used AR only

how do i activate ar cheats?

@xCyberpunk Some codes when entered are always active when enabled and some are activated in game with a button code like hold L button and push X, or push select and start ect. Most AR codes that are button activated the keys needed are nearly always in the cheat description

@singstar3228 All i can say is do you have the latest version 0.9.6 of the emulator the link is in the description. Also have you opened the ROM you want it does not show until a game is loaded into the emulator my friend. Try this if it don't work i am sorry but if you find out what was wrong please return here and post a comment on how you fixed it as you could help others.

Sorry if this seems unrelated - but on my DeSmuME-0.9.6 it wont let me input any action replay codes, because the 'add' button is unselectable, i put in the codes but the button dosnt activate.

Now is it just the version i downloaded? I thought maybe it was a funny download so i downloaded it again but it is the same. Is there a way to fix it? Cus I dont think id be able to work out Internal - action replay is easiest to use.

Any help would be great!

Do you know how to do this for the mac version? I've gone to where the cheat list is but I only have the search and list functions, and for some reason the search is grayed out. I can't click on it.
