I have been lucky enough to own both a Supra and an RX7 and as lovely as the Supra was its too heavy. The RX7 is a completely different porposition. Its light and has wonderful steering feel. It would be an RX7 every time for me!

1 of the first cars i ever drove was when i was down in florida i drove mt friemds 867hp supra 6sp thats what got me to buy myself a supra. now i have a 97 supra with singal turbo converion and over $20,000 worth of stuff that gets me 750hp on 22psi (med boost) and 810hp at 26psi (high boost and 93 octane gas)

yea u can get a kit from greddy its a t-88 for 10grand that comes with the fuel system and everything else to acomendate it to reach its highest ptential. u get 850hp on high boost and racing fuel from that kit. and 575hp on pump gas and low boost i guess. defintely the best engine in my eyes.

I wouldnt rag on an automatic. Most drag cars are automatics cause its too hard to shift that fast. Automatics also never despool boost, so if your runnin like 24lbs of boost w/ a automatic it boosts up and you go, no despool between gears. Thats when the dudes with the manuals r like, CMON CMON BOOST GOOOO!!!

Well man i got a automatic 3rd gen supra, an 89, and im runnin 18lbs of boost, full turbo back exhaust, injectors, intake, etc. And my auto trans rapes MR's and stuff. 6 Speed STI's and Evos dont stand a chance. Everytime they shift they have to wait for there 20+Lbs of boost to spool.

Dont really understand what you ment there, but my auto tranny did fail once, had it rebuilt with stronger internals, stronger torque converter etc. I would rather have a 5 speed in my supra, just cause you have more control over the car, but the boost up n go thing has taken my heart with the automatics lol. Ive driven 5 speed wrx's and stuff and i could really care less about manual turbo'd cars.
