Use it in 60:40 ratio, it will oxidize the magnesium more producing more power. Also, you want finer mesh chemicals, not course. Finally, make sure the ammonium nitrate is dry before ignition.

Or the powder is not fine enough, both magnesium and the ammonium nitrate, or the ammonium nitrate is too hydrated.

Damn fine vid.. i've always used a 50:50 KNO3+Mg mix but that's only because it's easier for me to get Mg than powdered aluminium..

watch my videos.. i got how to make kclo3 and also watch my an/mg :D mine goes pop.. very nice sound q: and if you want some POWER that doesnt need alot of heat to go off.. try AP (; dangerous.. but easy to make

and btw mine isnt completely dry.. but next time take the sound off D= you cant hear the effect of it.. how powerful yours really is.. :/
