you have to consider the tactics ALOT, and are they on form,are you playing away, do the players have time to blend with each other, is their training correct... and etc.

You have a strange concept of how many goals a top striker should be scoring. 1 goal a game? What planet are you living on?

You seem to be criticising the game for having depth. As others have said, you probably want to be playing something less complicated and casual, like FIFA.
Take for example in fifa 08 or 09, play Didier Drogba and compare with Lionel Messi; because of "Stacked stats" you notice both have different playing stats with drogba being a killer shooter and messi being a fast goalkeeper beater.
funny and a good review but i find that most of the flaws make it MORE realistic. Obviously you can't just buy a striker with good finishing because you have to make sure he has good composure, technique and first touch in order to score goals. It doesn't matter that in real life they are professional footballers. The finishing stat purely refers to how well he can hit the ball... i digress. You're obviously more of a general gamer than a football or FM fan or you would get that.
of course the stats are dependent on one another because THATS REALISTIC!
Take Titfuck Bramble. Very athletic, very good at jumping and heading and good pace. But his concentration, anticipation and marking suck. So thats what FM reflects. If it was JUST about Pace and Heading, Titus Bramble would be one of the best defender in the game, but he is not because other stats are not good.
Yeah well I did say in the review that complete realism in a GAME doesn't make it fun. Imagine if in Cod 4 of CS or everything FPS you died in one shot, because that would make it realistic wouldn't it. My point is, REALISTIC doesn't = FUN. Therefore the game fails.

Alot of people have said that to me and I'd like to clarify this now, I am not aware of the rules reguarding penalty shots, however I watch football in england i've seen players hit the ball after taking a penalty before so naturally I assumed that there was no restriction on hitting the ball more than once, but even if this is the case and hes not aloud to hit the ball surely he could have blocked someone off from the ball or done something useful, instead of standing perfectly still.

The reason the penalty taker didn't kick the ball again was because the team arent aloud two touches, and the keeper had not touched the ball.
Therefore if he had kicked it again, he would have kicked it twice.
Players would simply drible to the goal in that was an option..

This was pretty realisitic game, you need to set your tactics right.
with big clubs, i can win rivals 4-0
like with manchester united, i won liverpool 4-1 home and 4-1 away
arsenal, i won 3-0 home, 2-0 away
Chelsea, 4-0 home, 3-1 away
And, also i won the champions league in my first year, its retty based on tactics and being smart and linkin it to real life.
And please, take an effort to look into the game's dictionary and not english ones, because the game's vocabulary has diffrnt meaning

You don't just pick a player because it's stats are good at shooting, you need pace anticipation etc.

funny and a good review but i find that most of the flaws make it MORE realistic. Obviously you can't just buy a striker with good finishing because you have to make sure he has good composure, technique and first touch in order to score goals. It doesn't matter that in real life they are professional footballers. The finishing stat purely refers to how well he can hit the ball... i digress. You're obviously more of a general gamer than a football or FM fan or you would get that.

Take Titfuck Bramble. Very athletic, very good at jumping and heading and good pace. But his concentration, anticipation and marking suck. So thats what FM reflects. If it was JUST about Pace and Heading, Titus Bramble would be one of the best defender in the game, but he is not because other stats are not good.

Yeah well I did say in the review that complete realism in a GAME doesn't make it fun. Imagine if in Cod 4 of CS or everything FPS you died in one shot, because that would make it realistic wouldn't it. My point is, REALISTIC doesn't = FUN. Therefore the game fails.

Alot of people have said that to me and I'd like to clarify this now, I am not aware of the rules reguarding penalty shots, however I watch football in england i've seen players hit the ball after taking a penalty before so naturally I assumed that there was no restriction on hitting the ball more than once, but even if this is the case and hes not aloud to hit the ball surely he could have blocked someone off from the ball or done something useful, instead of standing perfectly still.

I'm, afraid you can't physically block someone when off the ball. That's just plain cheating.
If he just went up to the ball and created a barrier, he'd get himself yellow carded and the opposition would have a free kick..
