I have this case and I hate it. It does give some minimal protection but it's sticky silicone and is a huge pain to take out of your pocket. I'm sorry I wasted my money on this case. The reason I'm here watching reviews is because I hate this case so much I never use it.

your wrong about the stretchy cases being lint catures and the non stretchy ones not being lint catures. I have a griffin flexgrip action silicone case for my ipod touch 4g and the silicone isnt that stretchy but it collects ALOT of dust and lint

yeah the "gumminess" is a pain in the ass when you put it in your pockets and stuff. but because of that it stays in your hand better. im not sure if you catch my drift but to me the material stays better in my hand compared to plastic.

@itsmemorphious What I did was took an extra screen shield, and stuck it on the back over the Apple logo. :) Hope I helped anyone, because after like a week after i got this, i got a couple of hairlines on my apple logo, so i just took an extra screen shield, and stuck it on the back.

This must have changed since then. Mine does include a screen protector and it's not gummy at all instead it's very smooth (just about like with no case at all) and doesn't collect any lint. I'm also to dock into the dock that comes with my Samsung HT-C6500. My only complaint would feeling the model seams on the edges.

I've had one other case before this that was ~$3 that was very sticky and stayed in my hand but got stretched out after a few months.

Hey guys, want to give you all some information about this case, I have had the OtterBox Impact for about a month, I LOVED it. Except for one thing, after awhile I have noticed some scratches on my iPhone, by the Apple Logo. I then decided enough was enough, the part that is higher up in the middle DOES NOT protect your apple logo, this is why I bought the OtterBox Defender, it is great EVERYTHING is protected.

I was playing with this and if you take a little bit of armor-all car spray and wipe the case with it, it wouldn't be a lint catcher.

but it has to be a very light coat of the spray because then if you put to much it going to become very slippery.

I think I may have found my case. I have the Zagg on it so I don't have to worry about the back but still want a little more protection. I took off the front but going to get a Power support for it. I like the fact that the logo still shows with this. For only 20.00 it's pretty good. I'll just take my phone out of it every once in a while and clean any lint.

good review, one thing i wanted to point out tho... bouncing is not good. if two things are dropped, both weighing the same amount, one bounces one "absorbs" the drop, the bouncer will have more damage. it is in contact with the table, ground, etc. for less time, making the damage more. that is y there is crumple zones on the front of cars, not bouncy material. just something i wanted to point out. =-P

Sadly, I watch alot of Carlos' vids. One thing I know is the man ALWAYS has his screen protected. What he means is that this particular case doesn't come with a freebie screen guard (like many do). I'm not sure if this vid was taken before or after he took the Zagg off, but even if it's after I'd bet money Carlos has SOME sort of screen protector on there. Long vids... that's what I like about em. Yes, its a long time for a simple product, but it prevents US from having to buy one and regret it
