yeah, he is showing how you can take velocity and power out of a punch.then he shows that you can strike the fist with your chest before his velocity is able to build up.Also that last technique of moving into the punch where he is doing the "chicken dance" can easily break a man's wrist if he is not punching you squarely

if any japanese martial art that systema is close to ,it would be aikido.I also feel it would help your average judo player as well.As in systema they aways speak about being relaxed and limp

Ok, I get you. It would've been nice to see some moves in real time though...just to get a feel of how effective they are. I respect Systema and the fact that the Russians are the only ones to invent a valid European martial arts which can stand up to Chinese martial arts...and Spetsnaz are beasts...best unarmed combat soldiers in the world, by far...I'll give you that. Nice video...but I always get a bit suspect when they train where the "assailant" is going either slow motion and limp -wristed...the moves work there but when you fight and the other guy has his arms tense or locked, they wont...but anyway.

I was really skeptical about Systema, coming from a Jkd, Bjj background, however being open minded, I checked it out. I was never hit so hard in any of my previous training, than I was by Vladimir Vasiliev. I now incorporate Systema, with my MMa training.
