  • and then when Clark shows up, she slaps him in the face

  • well clark and superman aren`t really alike but she could`ve known that always when superman appears clark is nowhere to be found :D and still he is the only one who can contact him kinda strange??

well superman is always showing off and he has no glasses and a little bit of gel in his hair and a weird costume it`s the complete opposite of clark.

clark is always getting pushed around and everyone think of him as just a reporter and of course the glasses help. this scene is why i love this show.

  • Too bad Tempus is not in the comics xD

  • I love Tempus !!! ;-))))

  • You know what the beauty of a fictional TV show is? It's FICTION! That's the whole point of the thing. BTW, this is and always will be one of my favorite episodes!

  • makes NO since not to know

  • I am I don't wear glasses and I don't wear suits (I don't like wearing them and haven't worn one since I was 16 and I'm 33). If I walked around in glasses, slumped down, acting really clumbsy you know what? PEOPLE WILL STILL KNOW WHO THE HELL I AM!!! How dumb are people who live in Metropolis, and how REALLY dumb are people who like in Smallville (they grew up with the guy for heaven sake!!) How can they not know!!!

  • @hjames78 No... seriously???? Put it this way. We are fortunate to be watching a work of fiction so every time we see Clark we see through the disguise cause guess what? We're fed that as the basis of the plot.

My next point is this. The people in Metropolis think Superman is an alien with no double life AKA ALWAYS in costume etc. That way Clark doesn't have to worry about people trying to look through his disguise the way we the audience are able to.

  • @Nintendofan4000 yea I guess you make a good point but still... I mean seriously for the people who grew up with him in Smallville. They at least should realize it.

  • The reason this scene is so great because i think at some point everyone has wanted to do this.

  • While most people only see one not both, I think Tempus is right on the button for how most see Lois.

  • Love this!

  • i love watching this clip. almost makes me want to be a time travelling villian just so i could make fun of people and say "DUH" alot.

  • One of my favorite episodes ! ;)

  • 1 of the best moments of the series

I mean we were all thinking it, tempus just was the 1 to lay it out

  • I would have to say that though Clark never made it seem like he was Superman, she's seen both of them close up, or should have by now assuming this show follows all other Lois and Clark Superman shows/comics. One look should have been painfully, stupidly obvious, so I'll have to agree with Tempus on this one. Plus the voice. Lois, really, that was terribly dumb.

  • The reason Lois never figured out that Clark was Superman is because Clark never did anything to make Lois suspect he was Superman. There are guys who resemble Kobe Bryant, but if you put a basketball in their hands, the resemblance fades quickly.

  • MY favorite episode of Lois and Clark

  • TERI IZ AMAZING IN THIS SHOW

    P.BONHAM MAVRAKIS

  • Even if you can't recognize his face, CLARK AND SUPERMAN HAVE THE EXACT SAME VOICE, COME ON. Clark doesn't make himself sound gruff like Christian Bale's Batman.

  • Hello Duh! lol

  • This makes me wan to watch the series.

  • I love Tempus and H.G. Wells! Thank you so much for this clip! :D

  • He may be right but that was an A-hole thing to do!

  • "There is on question that keeps coming up: HOW. DUMB. WAS SHE?!"

LOL x100. Gotta admit the guy has a point. When he's "showing her what he means" with the glasses it's even funnier. "Look, I'm Clark Kent!" *takes off glasses* "No, I'm Superman!" *puts on glasses* "Mild-mannered reporter" *takes off glasses* "Superheeerrro!"

  • Lane Davies was THE SHIT as Tempus. I LURVED HIM!!!

  • Lane Davies was excellent as a evil killer.

  • you got to wonder how much fun Lane Davies (the guy who plays Tempus) must of had when filming this scene. Probably took more than a few takes.

  • Lois Lane hates Summer. Everyone wears sunglasses and she can't tell who anyone is.

  • LOL Tempus is sooo funny. My favorite villain of the show! DUH! :D

  • Bei uns in Deutschland heist diese Folge:Die Zeitmaschine nicht Tempus fugitive obwohl ich letzteres besser finde...

In Germany this episode is calling The Time Machine not Tempus fugitive... the english title its better

  • How. Dumb. Was she? Best line in the whole series.

  • "Look I'm Clark Kent. Hello I'm Superman" LMAO

  • "The most galatically stupid woman who ever lived" .. lol this show is STILL funny.

  • Hello DUH! I'm sorry Lois you know your my fav but come on its so ovbious lol Awesome :)

  • i loveit when tempus say superhero

  • "HOW DUMB WAS SHE?"

    LOL!

  • hahahahahaa, this was just too great!!! hahahahahahahahahhaah

  • tempus has remained one of my favorite villians , for one he knows everything about superman and 2 lane davies plays the role perfectly thanks for the vid

  • Hello! Duh!

    Haha I loved Tempus!

  • @TheJokerEl lmfao this is hilarios, i wish there was a scene like this in smallville

  • Is it just me or does terri hatcher look better now that she's older?

  • @1acroyear1 Just you. She looks pretty damned bad nowdays.

  • I actually agree with acroyear

  • I don't agree.

  • Way better than Smallville.

Also, I really miss the style of television writing where characters from the future threw scientific sounding words into everyday conversation at random. "Galacticly stupid"?

  • Smallville did start to suck really fast. But it's picking up a little bit now.

But Lois and Clark is really a whole different kind of show than Smallville 90210.

  • ... so Sheldon Cooper becomes a time-traveling supervillain in the future? NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE

  • I don't know who that guy is but whatever he's doing deserves to succeed.

  • Almost as epic as "GARBAGE DAY!"

  • no one here cares but my head herts

  • Well, what did he expect? She's Susan "I-trip-over-my-own-son" Mayer, for Pete's sake :D

  • Clark Kent = Superman?

Well, now i don't know what to believe, is god real? is Barack Obama really the president? does Santa live in the north pole? is the syrloin stake burger made with hte finest meat?

Is it all a lie? are we alive even?!

  • This is just awesome.

  • That was classic. Poor Lois. hahaha!!

  • My favourite Superman scene ever... Davies is brilliant!

  • That is quite possibly one of the best Superman villains I have ever seen.

  • galactically stupid lol i love tht

  • In the comics they explain how his glasses' lenses are made with glass from the wrecked shuttle he came to earth in and the glass somehow brainwashes the viewer into thinking he is someone else.

  • I never heard something like that. Where is it from, precisely?

  • Your even a breakfast cereal. LOL! I love this clip and this episode so much. ^_^

  • I love the expression on her. Like she´s about to faint, or vomit, or just realizes that she´s really an idiot. Can´t argue with the villain

  • I had always wondered that question too :)

  • This reminds me of a Silver Age "Imaginary Story" comic book cover where Superman flat says he won't marry Lois, asking why would he marry someone so stupid to not be able to see through the disguise.

  • IIRC DC comics actually stated in their relaunch of Superman during the '80s that the general public was unaware that Superman had a secret identity (and thus no one tried to discover said secret identity). Unfortunately it still doesn't quite work for Clark's colleagues like Lois who come into contact with both Clark Kent and Superman on a regular basis.

  • This is quite easily the single-greatest piece of Superman media I have ever seen in my life.

  • That was worth the whole episode.

  • that was worth the whole superman ideology

  • Superman stands without a mask which would lead most people to assume he doesn't have a secret identity, Lois isn't THAT dumb :P

We only find it obvious because we already know >_> And if one were to come around in real life we'd all seriously have no idea lol

  • How incredibly campy is this?

  • hehe, I am guessing you're not saying that's a bad thing. I agree with you,it's super campy and that's why I love it.

  • I'm not saying that's a bad thing, in fact this is one of the funniest Superman clips I've ever seen

  • Bitch got owned

  • Isn't that the reason Superman wears spandex? So nobody's looking at his face?

  • havent seen this in a while... ouch. and good gad, that guy is annoying. granted, Clark's cover wasn't spectacular (i always referred to it as the "magic glasses"), but heck man... it was a closely guarded secret for a reason. he worked very hard to keep it from everybody, especially her, for a good long time. calling the poor girl "galactically stupid" is... a bit much

  • bitch slapped. lol.

  • Louis got served!

  • Um... who's Louis?

  • The brunette is Louis from "Lois & Clark". This is not from Desperate Housewives, thank you for playing,

  • ...what?

  • yes

  • Very well lampshaded

  • It might be mean, but in all honesty you really would have to be an absolute idiot in real life to not realize the truth.

  • Yeah, the people of metropolis must be blind.

  • @LuisManuel316 just the ppl that know clark kent

  • @prudence00

Hannah Montana also rings a bell. lol

  • @bfnfamily

Hannah who? Who is this Montana person you speak of and why are they ripping off Harrison Ford?

  • @prudence00

    Google : )

  • @bfnfamily

I'm sarcastic, I try to forget that pop-tarts even exist.

  • @prudence00

    Okay. lol

  • So god damn true!

  • Hello duh!! LOL

  • One of the best scenes in one of the besto episodes ever. I loved this series. And I also qould have done that being the villain, the same exact thing.

  • Tempus was a wicked villian. I wish he could have been in more. HG Wells was also a good character.

  • LOL. I would've totally have done the same thing the villain did

  • I think I can safely say that EVERY Superman fan has wanted to say this to Lois.

  • TEMPUS IS MY FAVORITE VILLAIN...HAHA

  • Ahahah^^

  • Great scene ! And so is Tempus ! Thanks for uploading.

  • yeah this is one of the best episodes ever! lol Tempus cracks me up so much thanks for uploading :P
