@Numba1Lou changing the songs pitch does just that... change the songs pitch, it does not change the song. for example michael jackson beat it with changed pitch would still be michael jackson beat it, except faster or slower depending on which way pitched, the purpose of it being on turntables and cd mixing consoles is so that you can beat match 2 tracks together and form a mix, no matter their original speed.

Them just pressing play would be like bringing a recording of your guitar istead of playing it live. They do lots of mixing, sequencing, effects and control sounds live. Each performance is different. This is not true for all artists that create music like this. Watch Skrillex as he rushes around the keys and sliders all around him, then watch David Guetta.

Oh, Minty. Are you talking about the audio editors? High complex softwares, called Logic Pro, that producers use to make. I understand, completely. Incredibly complex. Making dubstep distortion is -NOT- hard. You change the pitch and the intensity then mash it all together until it sounds decently good.

Obviously, regular DJs won't understand them, because they actually do live mixes.. You know, what real DJs do.. Live mixing, with turntables and mixers.

What he does is, press play, mess with the knobs every once in a while to push up the bass and volume a tad bit. He then links up the songs together to make a set. He's not a live DJ, Like Steve Aoki and shit. They don't do it. DJs now a days make live mixes. Hip Hop DJs tend not to, for example DJ Jazzy Jeff does not. He mixes live, and it's amazing.
