Some of them are hand painted material, and Jem's top was about 1 1/2 months of bead work. I'm planning to wear my Glitter 'n' Gold Jem again at Jem Con in the near future. The gal as Glitter and Gold was outrageous! The other three did their best I'm sure and they all together did a grand performance. I see references to Samantha however in my opinion Britta Phillips deserves more credit as the singing voice as it takes a wider vocal range of talent when she hit all those high notes! Thanks for bringing the dolls to life with a flash and sizzle!!

I know those notes are very hard to hit, as it took me 25 years to even be able to do the high note on "Music is Magic" when I sung it live to them.

If you look at the animation and the doll, it IS huge.

Swimsuit pattern for the body. Fake fur and gold satin for the wrap and padded with a foam sheet (not easy to cut). Gold satin for the wrap around skirt. And lots of sequins stitched on by hand for the pattern on the top. Took about 4 months to construct.

they may not be the Spice Girls or the Pussycat Dolls, but I'm just impressed by the ability to replicate that Jem outfit with the huge collar and the guitar and synthesizer...that's all!
