shoes are more important then most people assume. Im sure i could get used to skating in any shoe but i have very specific needs when it comes to foot wear. single piece toe cap, vulcanized sole (cant skate anything else), insole heel support is a must, and an all round low profile. i like em thin, not vans thing. but thin. i got multiple pairs of vans 106 vulcs i use for casual skating. ive skated tons of vulcanized shoes. favs are first bloods, janoskis, manchesters, and campus vulc

Im not gonna lie, I cant stand having airwalks or stuff, I feel like I have to be taken seriously with skate shoes and i have no clue why but its worth it. I've skated nike 6.0, vans (that arent the kohls vans) 2 pairs of supras, adios, and im on fallens right now. Its worth it. Always get big name skate shoes because they are made for the wear and tear, and (not trying to be a preppy girl about it) you will be really taken seriously for a skater. Extra advise, get mid tops.
