@malamagr In my opinion, Canon has made good job in this light weight dv-camcorder (MVX-460). As you notice from descrption, this video is recorded at 11pm!
airshows has a safty regulations, that planes should be over 200 meters from spectators, so I have to zoom very hard. In fastest, they fly over 500km/h.
In tailslide section ( 1.45 ), I assume that the plane was 500 meters (or more) away from the spectators, so I had to use full 20 times zoom. Of course, I would really like it too, that autofoucus works in those incredible moments, but the situation was what they were.

In high school we had our own TV station where I learned that with a decent camera, decent manual controls, and some practice, it's possible to maintain focus very well even while zooming in and out. Problem with autofocus is when it loses the focus, it often adjusts in the wrong direction, but then keeps going and gets lost, whereas a human just reverses and fixes it quickly.
As a matter of fact, the USN Blue Angels have recently suspended coming air displays due to a mistake at a recent air show. Back to practice until they get it straight.
Oh, yes they do crash ...happens in mock combat, airshows, routine flights, bad weather,etc.
You are talking quality so how about quantity as well?
How many F-14/15/16/18/SuperHornet/22's have crashed at Farnborough, RIAT or the Paris Air Show?

1. Autofocus should be replaced in every camera with a good manual focus,
2. Everyone should be taught in school how to properly use a camera
Either that, or they should make autofocus that works.

Knowing how heavy that thing is, it sure flies beautufylly.

why is it using afterburners?
is it at a low altitude? or flying too fast,,,, or is it cuz of cold weather that makes afterburners more easier to see? haha
