  • You should get way more fish. Lots more. That's not nearly how many can squeeze in to a tank. You can probably have at lease 80 more fish in there. No more small fish. Just 10-13" fish. Looks great! That song is awesome too. Are you a looney?

  • What's the trick of keeping triggers in a reef tank??

I love your music!! and very beautiful setting!!

  • and you aren't using a polarizer?

  • What filtration are you using? Sump? How big? Refugium as well? Thanks :) Clown trigger looks sick...

  • cut me some off that hammer branch plz

  • tank far too small you idiot!!

  • DONT LISTEN TO THEM. THAT FISH SEEMS GENTLE AND HAPPY. IT COULD USE A BIGGER TANK THO.

  • guys... this tank has so many lovely fish and non reef safe fish tooo?????

how is this possible , they r all good and even the corals too.... cooool

    can i keep too ?????:-)))))

  • How haven't your powder blue, flame, regal tang or yellow tang not killed eachother?! Oh and the queen angel.

  • i think you need more fish, not enough.

  • This song is creepy!

  • @waxmasterJ

The song is creepy like the tank is.

  • Even tangs don't belong in a 4 foot tank...no matter how skillful the aquarist or perfect the water chemistry, some things are just not meant to be in a tank this small...

  • are there any nigger triggers in there

  • Beautiful fish :D Great tank! Yes it's small but very clean and nice :D

  • Not meaning to be negative but I have to agree with others. I have a 5ft, 115g reef & I was having to really think about adding a 3rd tang! Let alone trying to squeeze in a 4th & angel & 2 triggers.

That will end in tears :(

  • How would you feel being trapped in a small bedroom with 15 other people? ? You're insane keeping that many fish in such a small aquarium. You should only keep small fish in a nano tank. You should research the "minimum size tank" for each fish before adding them to your tank. I've only kept a reef tank for 2 years and i can tell you my fish actually seem happy; yours look miserable.

  • Never seen a cruelty to animals like this. What a shame. It must be forbidden, that people like you operates aquariums.

  • nice looking tank, and again, i dont care how well they look like they are doing, thats just mean to have that many fish AND fish of that size in a 4 foot tank, i feel like my 4 foot tank is overstocked and its only got 6 fish, the biggest of which is a 3" powder brown tang

  • I feel bad for all those fish. Especially the Emperor Angel, the Triggers, the two regal tangs.

  • Its great when people want to make a beautiful saltwater fish tank, but when its at the expense of the fish then its just sad. Your tank isn't beautiful, Its a great show of someone who can't control him/herself and buys every pretty fish they see without caring about them.

Look at that poor trigger, its constantly making 4'' circles in the tank, heartbreaking.

How bout you stop buying fish and save your money for a much bigger tank.

The worst part about this is how awesome you think it is

  • I have to say... That's a really nice tank and i liked the video.

But, when are you gonna post the video of the clown trigger devouring the all of your other fish.

  • This may be THE most over-stocked tank I have seen, on YouTube. Horrible..

  • Over Stocked ..

  • THE TANK IS Awesome...

  • salt water fish tanks are way too hard to take care of but are just soo cool and amazing

  • holy shit dude that tanks a ticking time bomb

  • Balistoids are infamous for freaking out and killing everything in the tank they will even chew power cords. No way this tank looks like this now, never. If it is more power to you.

  • Balistoids are infamous for freaking out and killing everything in the tank they will even chew power cords. No way this tank looks like this now, never.

  • HI mate not sure if your on here still after a bit of info , i have the same ribbon eel as yours which i have had feeding for around 6months, but now it will only eat every few days where it used to take around 3 frozen each day, but ive noticed its head is starting to turn blue as its a black one now, just wondered if yours was black to start with or do you know if they go off there food when they go through the change ! nice tank by the way

  • @thekiller20004

Blue ribbon eels are notorious for being difficult to feed in captivity, and are difficult fish to keep for this reason. The colour change is due to it maturing from a juvenile into an adult.

  • @10yearplan

yes mate i know like i say i have had this for about 6months and all is fine, its started taking more food now and its head about about 3" of its body has started to turn blue/purple! wonder how long it will take for the full change

hows your tank any new additions you still got the trigger?

  • "the 4' tank in effect is like a 8' cos there are equal amount of swimming space at the front & the back glass." lol that logic doesn't make any sense. A 4 foot tank is a 4 foot tank

  • awesome tank!i have never seen a clown trigger tht big and i love emperor angel and the blue tangs!

  • Love the tank. How's the trigger with the smaller guys?

  • what size tank is that

  • God is an AMAZING creator !

  • could you tame a blueline triggerfish from attacking other fish. And how would you do that.

  • beautifull tank but is small :(

  • thats a monsterrrrrrr clown trigger... nice tank man great setup pretty cool that you keep corals with such aggresive monsters and such

  • im surprised that huge clown trig hasn't torn everything up in that tank

  • look at that beastly clown trigger what a gorgeous fish :D my flame angel and yellow tang arent nearly that vibratn :(

  • unless your tank it 8' deep i feel sorry for your fish. your clown triggers home is the ocean not 50 gallons of water.

  • a feat rather

  • I'd say that is overcrowded (mostly for the clown who doesn't have much room to cruise) but anyone who can get a ribbon eel to eat is a feet unto itself, and spawn clowns whilst keeping triggers and tangs with coral and coral banded shrimp all seemingly happy is worth listening and consideration - this was at least a year ago, be nice to know an update on the status

  • I hope someone shits in your tank its way to fuckin overstocked, shits just gonna come crashing down sooner or later

  • biggest trigger i have ever seen!

  • superb tank it reminds me fishville...AND NEMO!!!

  • Nice tank, your fishes look happy :)

  • OVERCROWDED, that Clown trigger def made some of those chromis and Oscellaris a meal once or twice.

  • IMO its cruel to keep any type of trigger in a tank less than 6 foot, theres just not enough space to swim!!

  • Please put them in a bigger tank. You have a enough fish to fill an 8 footer.

  • just wondering have your clowns ever spawned or to you think it is highly unlikly that they will cause the trigger is aggresive?

  • what size is the tank oh and cool Eel

  • Hahah guaranteed everything is dead now except the clown trigger.... this is one of the worst overcrowding jobs I've seen

  • thats beautiful

  • @theassenz "Thats not over crowded" "The tank is over crowded..."

    -_-

  • it really doesn't look that small ... and it's not over crowded so..

  • @pizcobabe thats not over crowded? you my friend need to do some more research. The rule of thumb for saltwater tanks is 1" of fish for every 3 - 5 gallons of water. That tank is over crowded but it looks as though it is taken care of very well. I hope this person has not done what some others do to triggers to get them to stop eating fish. They file the triggers teeth down to nothing!

  • How the F' do u manage to stop the clown trigger eating the shrimp?

  • my most favorite fish i ever had was a clown trigger that lived for ten years and grew bigger than my whole hand. he would swim up to the top of the tank and let me pat him on the head or hand feed him. was sad when he passed.

  • wow you had it for ten years??? thats pretty good. did you get a new clown trigger after then????

  • no, moved on to fish i never had but always looked at them in the store and thought about getting another.

  • Mine is not like that. Maybe because I added mine first. (No choice) I put him with two other tangs so far and a goby. When food touches the water its like blood in the water! The fish eats none stop no one else gets any. Even vegetable matter for the tangs, Gone.... Never seen my clown trigger full even after feeding for two minutes straight. For the most part the CT does not touch the corals or snails. Even a hermit grab of one month. I won't be able to keep this setup. He is just too greedy

  • vasca TOP !! BRAVO !!!!!

  • Okay, I got a clown trigger, about 4 inches long. The guy who had him before me had him with small fish and a tank full of hard and soft coral. When I get done settings up my tank. I'll post a video. It does appear some of these are more friendly then others. Maybe its the area they come from? Mine will eat hermit crabs and snails though.

  • Lets see an updated video, not a comment, no one would believe it. Lets see the video>=)

  • how is that clown trigger not ripping up those corals ive always read clown triggers are rank not reef safe

  • clown trigger dont eat coral but they eat crabs or snail.

  • @ji3200

They do eat coral, I've seen mine eat coral. A $40 frag mind you >=)

  • I only wish i had a tank like yours!!

  • I must admitt I would never suggest this to anyone else to put together. But I will also admit the fish do not look stressed, and the fact that they are quite old means that you are doing something right. Rules in the saltwater world are never black n white.

  • Kayjay. they are active because they have no where to hide. If you want you can take out all the caves so your fish wont hide and be constantly out like this. I wouldn't suggest it though. for the fishes sake.

  • OMG you also have that Angel, jesus just when i thought it couldn't get anyworse!

Seriously you need to get a bigger tank.

I can't believe some of the other posts here, you guys need to go on a forum and get a fkn clue!

  • actually the min tank size for an emperor is 100. this tank is like, what i think he said 108?

  • I like it, lots of fish! Probably have to change water more often. The fish look great!

    How many gallon? 120?

  • nemo & coral shrimps 1:25

  • where's nemo?

  • I have found Bubbles, Dory, and Nemo. :)

    Beautiful fish, and fish tank.

  • mate! beautiful tank..awesome colours!...just a question..how do u get ur fish 2 be so ultra active? my fish swim around but they always sorta go back 2 their caves that i made with the rocks..=(..any suggestions?

  • If you want ultra active fish, take a gun, and every now and then, shoot at the tank. It might get them hyper. I used to have the same problem, but i tried it and it works.

  • Everyone commenting on this video about the tank being to small should stfu. your all repeating yourself and sound like idiots. If this guy wants to keep this in his tank, leave him alone.

  • Jesus buddy i have less fish in my 250 gallon tank. Even if its doing ok now ur in for some REAL trouble later. unless you have a 300 gallon sump XD but there still gonna kill each other

  • danielroberts is right, sorry to say it but this is a disaster in the making. The emperor ALONE is too big for this tank, then there are TWO tigggerfish, you will have problems keeping these 2 in any size tank long term, especially a Clown Trigger, eventually that will get real mean and kill most of these fish. Do some research ffs!

  • Just so people know this tank is way too small. I dont care how well the fish are doing. Eventually that clown trigger will snap and kill everything

  • lol let the guy do what he wants to do. maybe it will work out. crazy trigger on the lose. lol

  • dude stop being a bitch and put ur hand in the tank to feed ur ell nothing will hurt u

  • hey dumbass. The blue ribbon eel is one of the hardest eels to get to eat in our hobby. He is doing it correctly

  • Beautiful tank.

But i think this may be unethical.

  • looks like a 55g

standard 4ft tanks can be 55 75 or 90g(you can go higher but not usually), 75 and 90 are both 18" width, 55 is 12" width

  • As everyone is saying this goes against alot of common rules. Tank too small for the amount of fish. Triggers mixed with corals and shrimp???? You must have an amazing filter system to keep up the quality of water. Maybe u r above us all??? Whats your secret??

  • how big is the tank gallon wise?

  • you have a great collection

  • A+ fish.

  • to much fish

  • indeed the powder bue has very rich coloration, not sure that is a false one?

1:25 the coral banded shrimps in a clown trigger tank! and both are happy, healthy!

    amazing tank!!

  • Comment removed

  • nice tank!!

    cheers Greg

  • yea it looks pretty crowded when i first saw the vid i thought the fish were going crazy but they have to move that much to stay out of the way of each other

  • Sorry to say...I agree with most of the comments left on this board. Nice tank, but way too crowded. Some of those fish really require a much larger tank. Unfortunatly, this is a trend too often seen. BTW, the music is creepy

  • i know this is a really random question but, may i know what's the music called you used for your bg music?

  • how many gallons is your tank?

  • lol i thought at first ... "ok he has 1 bigass trigger and like 4 tangs..... slightly overcrowded for 4 feet. THEN I see a matured emperor angel?!?! LOLOLOL dude sorry to say those poor fishies 1/2 will be gone within 2 months even if u have a good system, u cant keep it up to snuff with THAT big a bioload. hope ur rich cuz u blew money. send 1/2 those fish somewhere sustainable if u care.

  • I agree that he should get a bigger tank, but hes obviously doing something right, read the description, 10 years from a 3 foot and 3 years in a 4 foot.

  • incredible feat ! having such a variety of interesting and hard to keep (healthy) fish .NICE !

1.what exactly the size of your tank?

2.what is your filter set up?

    3. have your powder blue and blue tang ever got ich when first introducing them into the tank?

4.if so how did u deal with it ?

  • as u see they ar prfctly hapy so wots da problem

  • u have a great aquarium i could recomend you to gett a bigger one ure water looks fascinating and very clear, youre triggerfish looks so healthy and everything only well he looks kind of big for youre aquarium but u have for me a 5 stars n___n

  • sorry mate I have a marine tank and its 4ft what your doing is wrong. for the fish you have you will need 10 4ft tanks. Its lovely but think of the fish. for a start a 4ft tank is to small for the clown trigger on its own.they need a least 100 gallon tank witch is about 400L and your tank is about 240L. that's for one clown trigger

  • do you like to live in bathroom ?

  • okay...what the fuck now?? filed teeth? wow...ive alway had fresh water tanks but am thinking of going salt and i love triggers....can a clown and an undulated live together??? im not filing teeth though.

  • How old is your clown trigger?I've had mine for a year and he's already grown 3 inches.

  • nice tank mate and really nice fish, i cant wait until my emperor and clown trigger get big! everyone of my fish are in a 100 gallon tank and are all 5 inches and less, take a look. how long does it take for the emperor to get to say a 7 inch size?

  • What r the dimensions of the tank??

  • Very nice clown trigger how long have you had him? from young? I have a 4 - 5 inch clown trigger myself

  • how long have you had your powder blue?

  • 2yrs. it has grown a lot from a 3.5cm small juvenie

  • @musicsogo

Do you know that Wikipedia says these eels refuse to eat in captivity and unlikely to survive for more than a month

  • Nice tank. But wouldn't the eel at one point eat the clown fish? My eel ate my clown fish.

  • Depends on the eel. This is a ribbon eel which are not realy fish eaters. They like to eat crustations. A moray on the other hand would eat most of his fish. Nice tank by the way. I'm not sure how you have such a big clown trigger in a tank with small fish but you are very lucky. They normally eat anything they see. Looks a little over crowded, make sure you keep up on your water changes which i'm sure you know since you have had the tank for a while.

  • This message was wrote before I found out this jerk took a file to his trigger's teeth so it wouldn't eat the rest of his fish. How sad.

  • a ribbon eel is actually a moray... some morays are mainly fish eaters others (snowflake and zebra) mainly crustaceans. generally if you keep them well fed they won't bother other tank mates.

  • Those are very nice fish and a great looking tank but....... there is no way that your tank isn't overcrowed dude. I say this b/c you can see at one point the overall size of the tank and for saltwater fish that is PACKED! I guess you have to do alot of water changes!?

  • Thanks. I was feeding them with pellet at the left front so they can pack tg 4 a group video! They are a happy family with the nemos sprawns regularly, female shrimp filled with eggs, blue ribbon eel eats chopped frozen food, no fighting, all fat & healthy, 13 in Clown trigger feels at home. No bulky live rocks + the 4' tank in effect is like a 8' cos there are equal amount of swimming space at the front & the back glass. 30% water change once a month.

  • how do those triggers not eat your shrimp or peck at your corals?

  • To qualify release in the tank, ALL fish (except the eel it eats frozen white bait) were individually TAMED until looked HAPPY in a SMALL floating container & be fed ONLY with cichid gold, spectrum maine GRANULES until looked FATTER; Clown trigger, LAST fish to add with TEETH painlessly filed down (like you'd do to a puffer fish), when teeth regrow months later it still wouldn't move a coral & you can hand pet it. The fishes never hassle each other or the shrimps.

  • That is retarded. Why would you ever put a fish through something as crazy as taking a file to its teeth. The puffer needs to chew on coral to keep its teeth down and if they dont chew on it, then you must file its teeth or they will die. The trigger on the other hand never needs its teeth filed down. How would you like someone to file your teeth down? You do not deserve to have fish.

  • Filing fish teeth is painless & teeth will regrow, he did no harm to the fish except helping with its training to live happily in this special community tank with shrimps & small fishes. It is a pet trigger!

  • painless, thats interesting. Even if it is painless, how is it ever a good thing to hold a fish out of water for a period of time while you file the crap out its teeth. It is extremely stressfull for the fish. You can think what you want, but if the fish do not belong in the tank together then they should not be modified to be put together. I have a 3.5 ft green moray eel, I am not going to grind his teeth down and tie his mouth shut so I can put a clown fish in the tank. get my point?

  • what he means by filing down is, maybe giving them hard food so the teeth get ground down

  • @dahermitcrab, giving them hard food will not grind the teeth down to nothing. It will simply keep their teeth from growing out of control. for example, puffers need to chew on coral to keep their teeth from growing too much to where they can no longer eat. Triggers chew on hard coral in the wild but still have sharp teeth to eat fish. He actually grinded the teeth down himself. Extremely RUDE!! However I do admit the tank looks amazing and he is doing something correct. Just way overcrowded!

  • holy crap, you've defied nature. How did you tame ur fish? Personally id get a bigger tank - BUT i do think your fish all look pretty healthy. Very healthy actually. must be those pallets? also i think they look very calm. im amazed that you've defied the text books and created a set up with trigger fishes and damsels. I guess the teeth fyling thing is like horses hoves being cut to size.

  • @musicsogo holy crap. Sounds sweet. How the hell do you file down their teeth lol? Im trying to add a clown to my 120 reef =p

  • Awesome tank! How did you make that middle structure/ what is it?

  • Thanks. It came as a funny shaped fresh water rock (sandstone?) which I further enlarged the middle cave, drilled more holes. It is a very strong support and now all covered with coralline algae and calcareous growth.

  • love your fish dad

  • im surprised you managed to get it to eat.. ribbon eels usually have a 99% death chance in captivity due to starvation, very sensitive species.

  • I got mine when it was in its juvenile black, that might help. At first i tried live goldfish and black molly without success. Only when i tried a dead red molly in a stick, it started eating. Now it eats readily chopped frozen white bait and prawn and i have kept it for 3 yrs now.

  • tt is one HUGE clown trigger!
