Doesn't Christianity teach the resurrection of the just and unjust? Isn't that why Jesus is called the "first fruits of the resurrection"? Weren't there several bodily resurrections (albeit not to an immortal body) through the agency of Elisha, other OT prophets, Peter, Jesus himself? Didn't Paul call the hope of bodily resurrection a key doctrine, without which Christians are of all men most to be pitied?

Hi, it's very dangerous to judge the Bible by using only 1 or 2 verses from it and without looking at the whole context. Why there's a sword? Cuz since sin came to the world through Adam and Eve, humans are born to be enemies of God. We are born to reject Him and always in battle with Him. After one is saved by Jesus, he/she is in the kingdom of light, not in Kingdom of Satan anymore. And these 2 kingdoms are always in battle with each other. Jesus never taught to kill and destroy, only to Love.
