  • that's 1 bad ass boat,nice lines,great power and beautiful

  • Wow. Please start building mine as soon as you can. I have the feeling I am going to win the Lottery pretty soon. Please add some live bait wells and paint it in Awl Grip white.

  • I will await apologies from both Gammon and Spinach and CJ...

  • Or look up "Mark V Special Operations Craft" on Wikipedia and read through the "development" section...

  • Or google "Trinity 90' MK V Patrol Boat"...this is a stretched version of the composite MK V...

  • For example...

    Mexican Navy XFPB...

  • Ok...Looks like there's a pair of idiots out there. If anyone reading this post questions my assertions, simply google "MK V" and see what comes up. Similar? No...design thieves use that word a lot! The MK V was designed by some very brilliant Halter/USMI engineers, not a "design house". This boat has been built MANY times out of composite. Hodgdon STOLE this design. They are nothing but a pack of damn thieves and Gammon and CJ are nothing but F'n idiots for thinking that Hodgdon is all that...

  • Did some research. This is bull SH**. These yahoos STOLE the MK V design from Halter/USMI. This is one of the fastest and best maneuvering boats in the world but Hodgdon had absolutely NOTHING to do with that! CJ...YOU ARE A F'n IDIOT!!!

  • @ll2c00l As CJ said, get right before you go making a fool of yourself. It's a similar design from the same design office as the Halter boats, but in carbon fiber / epoxy instead of aluminum. No "theft" involved. Sheesh.

  • CJ...I was part of the proposal development team for the MK V SOC. I think I know what a MK V looks like! Like I said, unless Hodgdon Yachts got the design from Halter (perhaps they bought it during the bankruptcy...I don't know) it is ABSOLUTELY false advertising, so blow me!

  • can i have a go?

  • Hopefully this isn't an actual promo video for hodgdon yachts as this is actually the Mark V special operations craft built by Halter Marine Group in the 1990's. It's not composite. The hull is aluminum. Unless someone somewhere purchased the design from Halter Marine Group or its subsidiaries, you may want to stop this false advertising. It just happens to be illegal!

  • @ll2c00l You might want to get your story straight before you go posting comments. This boat (Mako) was built by Hodgdon Yachts and made out of carbon fiber. No false advertising here!!!!

  • Captain Ralph in Portland,Maine On Cascobay Wants A Ride In This Very Cool, Sleek Boat. I Think You Would Be Very Honored To Have Captain Ralph Aboard.

  • @MaineNightOwl They would be disgusted.

  • @pungkvisen you don't know nothing about me; nor do you know me personally. i suggest you mind your own business and take a look a good look at yourself in the mirror because your negative derogatory comment that was directed at me is reflecting back at you because its bouncing off the glass mrror thats in front of me...lol

  • oh man, listen to those turbos.

  • Very good, but the boat, the Japan Coast Guard, when it is deployed patrol boats of the best!

  • She's pretty, but can she fight?

  • this looks as excessive as a hydra sports 41

  • Navy SWCC's use these boats in SWCC/SEAL Missions. Special Warefare Combatant Craft Crewmen.

  • I'm in love....Awesome isnt enough!

  • holy mother fuckin shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey jellyfish since the boat is turning to starboard and the starboard side is the low side in the water that would tell you that the boat is balanced right and performing as designed and not going to flip over. If the starboard side was higher than port than you would have a control problem, this vessel is a beautiful design in my opinion from what I can see. Why don't you go take a ride on a jet ski and maybe you'll be able to understand, but maybe your prius won't get you there?

  • wow it looks like it is gonna flip when it whips the back end around like a car! XD

  • Heck of a turn about for a boat espically one that long.

  • A nice craft for clandestine/insertion ops, high-speed, shallow draft. Payload lacking, though. Could only be lightly armed . . .

  • All these military go fast boats need to be fitted with serious armament and sent to the Somali coast to end all the pirating going on there. Forget the poliitics these bastards are criminals and should be dealt with on the terms of the civilized world. I'm sure there are alot of military personell that would love the assignment. Sign me up!

  • Ooh I'm sure these military personnel you are talking about would love to go shot some red-neck like you, that love to put their noses in others (countries) business, Ooh shit the type of military personnel you're talking about probably are just like you-no rational living person would go and make the same mistakes over and over again. You should be more concern in using the tax payers money from YOUR country in resolve this shitty recession created by YOUR country's banks/wall street "PIRATES"

  • @darkantidote

    You're an inarticulate pussy.

  • @jetfalconer Fuck off tea bagger

  • does she carry any armament?

  • Better get MAKO !!!

  • good for plucking illegals out of the sea to bring them to u.s.a. an give them free every thing..lol

  • 50 knots =57.6 mph people that talk nautical speed sometime say it does ten knots like they are saying it does ten mph just in nautical terms they dont realize that knots is faster then mph just a thought on knots and mph good video nice boat

  • i wonder what happens when it hits weeds?

  • It's probably jet-driven like the MKV SOC and has redundant lines with basket strainers that can be isolated independently or run tandem. Alarms tell you if either is clogged, you go down/isolate/empty the strainer, open the line again. Presto.

  • 500 nautical miles thats really good but i wonder at what speed.

Also that back ramp for small inflatable boats you gotta love if you can't get close to another ship or shore or have to quickly get back onto the patrol boat.

    *The Driver

  • That is probably the coolest boat! a beautiful boat! I want one! How much?
