Continuing my rant, it's very very sad how girls today aren't encouraged to read and are forced to grow up to fast with slutty dolls or whatever. There isn't a girly series like BSC around that I know of, and looking back I think I got into them too late in life to really, truly appreciate them. *sigh* Like others, I miss the 90's! At least Lisa Frank is still making stuff!! :D still want a giant Markie plushy!! Plus Animorphs is being rebooted. Here's hoping for BSC too!!

Well..now I feel _ancient_. I can remember a time when I hated the BSC books before reading them, then I got hooked on them around 13. I don't think I watched the show much, but somehow I imagined the girls from the show when I read the books, so maybe I saw more then 2 episodes? It's really awful that they aren't still being made today, and even worse how Anne M. Martin kinda...sold out...and made the second series and the one with Dawn more mature when it was just fine

Oh man, I used to watch this when it was on Disney Channel along with Flash Forward. Good memories. I remember loving the episode where Claudia (?) makes earrings and sells them at a garage sale only to have them stolen by one of the girls they're babysitting. And the one where the main girl wanted that baseball glove for Christmas, and the diabetic girl sneaking cookies and ending up in the hospital all in the same episode! Madness.

Our aunts helped us make posters and we actually put up flyers around the neighborhood and didn't get a single call! Like you said the adults probably didnt trust a bunch of 12 -13yr olds with their kids :-D

But it was fun to indulge our childhood fantasies.
