They say they want a softer look and then they change it to they want the hardest looking female on stage or the most massive....It's never the same rules and also depends on who you know too...The more people you know that can pull for you the better your chances are of getting high ranked or even a Pro card.

I have to give you alot of credit for being able to even compete at this level.In the same token last week Jay Cutler wins the Mr. O and not one major news site even reported it. WHY? The sport of BB isn`t considered a sport, thats the issue. They consider Poker playing a sport over BB. hard to believe. Can`t say that things will change anytime soon,which is whats so depressing for those of us who workout and understand what it takes to be on the level you and others are in...

@realestatefla1 I don't compete I would never compete just not my thing. I only did powerlifting for awhile. At one time they did try to get Bodybuilding in the Olympics. But they said it wasn't really a sport and they did not want to promote the use of steriods which most of the Pro's are. Thier are a few natural, but very few...You seldom here about them, you always here more about the big boys.

I still don't see how they consider darts and poker as a sport...It's just craziness!

I like the fbbs. I'm just saying it is dangerous to take roids and HGH over a long period of time. It is also against the law. I like the look, but is a dangerous thing in the long haul.

Breast surgeries every couple of years and having to regularly have hair removal treatment isn't a great aspect of any sport if you are a woman.

I teach gender and sport in a university and show parts of Pumping Iron II in class :) My mother was also an amateur masters bb, so believe me, I get it! The whole term "femininity" is just tossed around in the video like it has a single meaning. We've got a long way to go before women can do whatever the $*&% they want with being judged. How can Bryant Gumbel be in the sports world for like 30 years and ask such ridiculous, and at times sexist, questions? Obviously bb is not very healthy, particularly in the contest phase, but this story is an example of how the sports media trivializes and warps the public perception of strong women. Very unhealthy sport as Collette said. The dieting down for the contest is real dangerous as are the long term effects of roids. Colette's voice hasn't changed alot, but it is deeper. I'm surprised they admit it only because the feds could just pop over and ask any of these girls where they get their stuff. Colette's old and perhaps present bf already did serious time for dealing roids, HGH and serostim. Good way to have the feds over at your house asking about your dealer.

Also trying to get down to these low percent for conest is very unhealthy for women. Studies have show it can have some serious effect later in life.
