I can see where Electron is coming from My dad did COBOL in high school and home electronics during the 1980s. He's also done engineering and such. So, I started learning my first language at 13. I Now I've got a degree in Web Design.
I was a very solitary type, so exchanging coding tips and learning new stuff like C++ was always a thrill to me.
I think Electron is misrepresented in this docu-drama. The real life Electron (Richard Jones) was more fragile than depicted in this program. He was a hacking addict who, during the course of court proceedings fell into depression and was hospitalized for a time when his mental state deteriorated further.
Also, the university didn't contact the AFP, it was Bill Apro who was then an AFP office who knew what was going on and contacted the university as part of his ongoing investigation.
