I recently finished reading Dre's biography and he claimed that during a certain time (in the beginning of his career, along with Tha Doggpound) while everybody was doing "the same ol' thing", X was dropping that real knowledge to the public. Not an act, but what he, as a person, most importantly, believed and lived by. Dre even said that various times in the booth, he rushed out of the house cause he couldnt stand what his cousins (Snoop & Daz) and the rest were incorporating in their lyrics.

His whole album is cool. The beats are strictly underground hip-hop,the way hip-hop should be. And his songs,too-like "Fighting the Devil". I may not like what he spat out,but the way he freestyled it makes him a true hip-hop artist.
