Partially correct. Lunar Legend is unrelated to this universe however the Tsukihime anime is known as Shingetsutan Tsukihime which translates to Lunar Legend Tsukihime so the confusion is understandable. Kagetsu Tohya is the sequel to the original Tsukihime visual novel and was never made into an anime. Melty Blood is a spin-off of Tsukihime/Kagetsu Tohya whereas Kara no Kyoukai takes place in an alternate universe from Tsukihime.

Damnit somebody enlighten me on this, i still don't get it after watching the second movie...how many personalities does shiki has? It's Shiki and SHIKI right??? BUT what is her "default" personality? AND how come she was at the hospital? < was that before OR after she threatened to kill kokuto?? Why is she killing all those people in the second movie??? It's b cuz of her "shiki" side right???? plz someone help!!.....thx!

Shiki only has two personalities. The series is out of chronological order, so the second movie is chronologically the first, and the fourth is chronologically the second.

And I'm not going to spoil anything, but ask yourself, you never see Shiki directly kill anyone herself in the second movie do you? (you really can't jump to conclusions in this series...)

The "default" personality Shiki has is her female side, which is a bit more standoffish. Her boyish side is the more playful one.

Shiki has THREE personalities. Her female, and male personality are from the mind. Her third personality is from the body which is connected to the origin. Also known as Akasha. Able to recreate reality at will.

Well, yes, but that's not something you would know from the movies (though I know what you're talking about). The only appearance she's made thus far was the final fight with Araya if I'm not mistaken, though they don't make it really clear that that's a third persona in the movie.

But perhaps the 3rd persona will appear in the epilogue of movie 7.

This and Tsukihime shares similiars, but Kara no Kyoukai is not Tsukihime. So no Arc is, OK.

We have another Shiki here, with similiar power, and also have alternative character in his/herself.

I've seen the anime before I played the game, and I liked it. It"s true that if I look back now, the game is much better, but atleast it drew my attention to the game, and to Fate/Stay Night too. The difference was that they didn't screw up the F/SN anime as much as they did with Tsukihime.

I heard that this is supposed to be a prototype of Tsukihime. Although I am confident that the story will be just as epic as the original Tsukihime, I am cringing at the fact that there will be no Arcueid.

It was a anime that was so bad that people feel it's better if it didn't exist.

Bad yes. But not exactly a joke in my opinion. The main problem was _really_ bad pacing. I watched it for the nostalgia value of 're-living' Tsukihime in anime form. I got so excited when I heard they're making it into an anime. I finished the PC game a long time ago. But the pacing of the plot made me disappointed.

However, it has amazing artwork and music. And it was faithful to the original story and actually made the original less cheesy. Tsukihime would've been much better if it were 5-7 tight half-hour episodes instead of the meandering 12 episodes it had.

It's quite good compared to a lot of other "game to anime" adaptations. It was actually serious. I'd give it a 7/10.

And most of those points are for artwork and music. Tsukihime the anime would've been garbage without those. I personally understood the plot because I had played the game. But I know a lot of people who haven't played the game did not understand. And I can understand why.

It's too bad. The anime had a lot of potential.
